Let's talk science and medical consequences of HRT for transgender people. It's no secret males and females have different body settings and the way body process, metabolize, heal, gets sick, fends off infection varies by sex which may partially be linked to hormones. For instance autoimmune disorders are more common among females while lethal infections among males. Will the body of a transwoman follow a male pattern, female pattern or a mixed system pattern of diseases?
More female than male. X linked genetic diseases follow male pattern. Outside of that, everything follows female.
I developed autoimmune issues after transitioning. Psoriasis everywhere, where I didn't have any problems before.
I had autoimmune disorders before I even knew I was trans, thanks for validating me OP.
I'm glad I have started such a butthurt following.
depends on the one, like i am colorblind which is a genetic disorder that basically only affects males. how ever i do have a few conditions that are much more common in women. Hormones can affect things, my antidepressants stopped working correcting along with my sleeping pill because of hormones, it turned out an old med that didnt work for me works now. for all intensive purposes it can be mixed but if you take a look at how it affects them (genetic vs non) you can understand what you will be as risk of
meh, for me everything has been the same since taking hormones. The only problems I had previously were seborrheic dermatitis, which remained the same and compulsive overeating (thus being overweight), which also stayed the way it was before.
Right, because a transwoman and a ciswoman are identical except for genetics. Ignore the fact that huge swaths of sex-specific anatomy are missing, that hormone production is impaired and that hormone levels and cycles differ greatly from cis counterparts.
Being on HRT does not make you a female, it helps you to pass as one.
You don't even know that testosterone lowers SHBG, I think it's fair to assume you have no clue what you're talking about here.
Mostly female, for mtfs, and male for ftm.
What for the most part determines your health is your hormone levels, as they have a direct impact on how your body functions.
If you're mtf and get on proper medication, and properly suppress your testosterone, you'll pretty much drop down to female levels of blood levels. You may no longer even reach the male reference values, but are within the female ones.
>X linked genetic diseases follow male pattern.
What is a bit misleading here is that you're not really more "prone" to any diseases, but you're more likely to have inherited the illness from the get go. As XX females have 2 X chromosomes, and therefore less likely to suffer from that X chromosome disease.
You come here with no knowledge about anything medical, and state retarded things as fact, without even attempting to prove them (which would be impossible, because you'd have immense trouble trying to find a psychotic enough doctor to state them).
>"Our study shows that the inactive X in women is not as silent as we thought," said Laura Carrel, Ph.D., assistant professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. "The effects of these genes from the inactive X chromosome could explain some of the differences between men and women that aren't attributable to sex hormones."
Aka your opinion is Wrong.
Yes, female have an extra X chromosome, that can help the other X chromosome if it's lacking or has a damaged gene.
That has nothing to do with what we're talking about.
You don't have the intelligence to talk about these kinds of things, so I suggest you stop it.
The y chromosome practically contains nothing, All it does is contain the genes that tells your fetus to activate and become male, after that, it does nothing.
Have you gotten through highschool yet? Or are you a middle schooler?
Again, your opinon is Wrong.
Where do all of you brain damaged fucks come from? We made a huge mistake by bombing Iraq when we could have rid the world of you instead.
if they're not relevant, then why are there men and women at all? there wouldn't be a thing as trans because we'd be the same... except... we totally are. men are women with significant upgrades due to the Y chromosome.
top kek is right. thanks for making my day
oh i sure have, i have a friend with Klinefelter syndrome. they're also autistic.
ftms wouldn't exist according to your bullshit because there's nothing different in the male brain because the Y chromosome doesn't do anything.
you are beyond stupid.
>What makes your body is the X chromosome.
this is true
but Y chromosome is responsible for dudeballs, enlargement of clitoris, sperm, teeth (AMELY) and nerve cells (PCDHY)
i happen to be white, so i am very offended that you called me a shitskin.
my point was i've heard of plenty of chromosonal abnormalities in my time. the one i am wondering about the most is whatever disorder you have that made you this goddamn retarded.
did you perhaps tuck too tightly today? what's got you so mad, hon?
