>implying literature isn't too far gone at this point
>In the early 1990s, Wallace became obsessed with the memoirist Mary Karr. Despite her statements that she was not interested, Wallace got her name tattooed on his body and even contemplated killing her husband, according to biographer D.T. Max. The two later had a tumultuous relationship during which, Karr reported, Wallace once threw a coffee table at her and attempted to push her out of a car.

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
I'll have to do essays and I need to have a good understand about issues like marihuanna legalization, mass incarceration... Which books do you sugests?
books for schizophrenia?
Why is this allowed?
There's nothing much wrong here.
If you're talking about cover art, the re-release on discworld books are worse. Theres no wrap around. Here's a bad image comparison I made in paint.
Sorry your thread is probably dead on arrival OP, if you're still bothering to check.
If you had a spiritual guide like Virgil to Dante, who would you choose?
I'd pick Ludwig
Fuck you all, I'm getting bitches and material goods.
Books similar to Confederacy of Dunces?
Anything with an anti-social, "autistic" protagonist
with a wicked sense of humour
Some I've read:
>A Long Evening of Goodbyes
>Welcome to the N.H.K.
>Notes from the Underground
>Imaginative Qualities of Actual Things
Diary of a Superfluous Man.
not necessarily as funny or as interesting, but definitely one of the sources of the literary archetype. I know there are quite a few more, gimme time to think.
Look at this fuckin traitor guys.
he can stay over there, and please.
Also I don't think /pol/ reads continental philosophy, I think they read the Daily Stormer and Elder Protocols of Zion, Turner Diaries, basically sister-fucking-pill books.
also why do people make the distinction between "reading for fun" and "reading"? If you find literature like Borges not-fun and Pratchett fun, you're a dilettante. Why would you even bother reading things you find "not fun"?
I guess that's why he likes Pratchett and asks /pol/ for books.
what is babbies first book?
Just a heads up if you use a newer kindle, are on firmware version 5.6.5 and want to jailbreak. Amazon is pushing their new software which adds some relatively minor new features and probably fixes some possible exploit possibilities. The author of the 5.6.5 jailbreak held it back until now to give Amazon time to fix their holes but will release it in the next couple of days on the mobileread forums. If you want to jailbreak DO NOT turn off airplane mode from now on.
Personally I look forward to finally being able to use Koreader on my pw2 again.
Is writing short stories about paranormal considered clichéd ?
