Did Derrida fucking realize that deconstruction deconstructs itself and undermines its own "position"?
He essentially priviledges sign over being.
(ie sign/being; negative meaning/positive meaning)
Did he ever address this? Or is my reasoning faulty?
He occasionally addresses this. Derrida & co don't take themselves very seriously and generally acknowledge that a mode of though called "deconstruction" has the same aporia as everything else.
