It's Casval and Real!Char!
Heh, it's controversial? That's an odd attempt to hype your program.
Well, it's got the swordfight and the barfight in it, so I'll enjoy it. I hope Original Char has an outrageous Texan accent in the dub, but I doubt that's happening.
The process was described in interviews as using 2D to map the movements and then overlaying CG. Imanishi is experienced at directing CGI so not having to worry about motion capture must make the process go by very fast. I'd expect a longer wait for the final episode though, if they're going to show the entirety of Loum.
Hopefully as a precursor to a remake of the original series based on the other parts!
Yeah, I know it's a slim chance. But I have to keep the dream alive.
Meh. Still haven't watched the first part. I'll probably watch it when the whole thing comes out. The parts I'm really excited for are Char+Garma leading the attack on the Feddie troops, the early Zaku battles of Char+Tri-Stars vs Feddie suits, and the Battle of Loum.
I was hoping this would be finished this year but...
It seems the second part (episodes III and IV) will only come out next year right?
Hope they announce a new gundam series by then.
And I hope it's fucking Crossbone Gundam complete with Skull Heart, Steel 7 and Ghost.
An adaptation of Hathaway's Flash would be nice, but that followed Beltorchika's Children timeline and it's non-canon. Probably too depressing too. Gundam Sentinel would be nice I guess. CDA after this?
Heck, an all-new gundam after G-Reco would be cool.
If they fucking animate the rest of The Origin manga it would already be fucking great. It would probably fit 26 episodes. Or heck, it wouldn't need to be 50 since the OVAs will cover a lot of content.
And then finish with a fucking remake of CCA with Hi-Stream Gundam and Nightingale designs? Plus, maybe more content? Retcon of ZZ completing their plans of retconning ZZ forever?
Well it looks nice, but fuck that voice over detracting from the visuals.
"The cuntravergil seeries from Bandye Sanrays, Mow-bull suit Gerndaym - th-The Orangen". It sounds like someone who probably only announces small live events.
And the Nightingale isn't? Both designs are completely hideous, at least CCA had mech designs completely nailed.
As for a CCA/Hi Streamer remake, I wouldn't say no to that especially if it included the story about Char's rise to power and had Hathaways Flash as a kind of epilogue.
Thank god I have audio set to default as Japanese. I know Gundam is usually said to have better than average dubs, but what I've heard just never even compares.
Am I the only one who thinks updating the animation for something I've already seen is boring? I don't want a re-make. 0079 is fine as is. Make new stuff. Tell new stories that haven't been animated.
You're not alone at all. People have been complaining about that forever, but not specifically about Gundam. It's a huge problem in Hollywood right now. Remember the hubbub about all the new Star Wars versions too?
CDA is probably the thing that makes most sense after Origin (assuming Ikeda is still alive
forgive me /m/ but Origin is just so slow that things I'd rather not think have been popping into my mind ;_;), but it would need substantial modifying in order to 'fit' with Origin.
Then again, if the remainder of Origin is a TV series like some above have suggested then CDA might well take the role of 'cursed Sunrise S2'.
That's not best boy guest starring.
>48/365 - In honor of Gundam The Origin I coming out today, have some baby Char!
Yes, that doll is supposed to be Casval.
Eh, I don't mind it so much. It would have been bad if they'd made him a super awesome guy, but RealChar is kind of an idiot and tool and Casval screwing him over with a smirk pretty much shows the start of Char as the manipulative asshole we all know and love.
excited, just order the first eps collectors edition blu ray
Despite really liking the manga as a whole and even liking the 2D caracter animation in the OVA(which maybe Yas had a large part in), I kinda agree. Who knows though, they'll probably allow Yas to make whatever he wants after the Origin finishes since the first episode's really making some bank now.
Of course, I'm pretty sure that if Yas decides to make something new I'm guessing it probably won't be both Gundam or even mecha related. Who knows, we might finally even get that one movie adaptation of a novel of his that he shelved back in the 90's
> While Lalah was a child prostitute before being rescued by Char in the original series, in this version she was simply being used for herpowers by a gang of petty crooks to cheat at casinos.
I believe tv tropes
It's Char on the backseat. Blonde hair, aviator glasses. light suit.
You can tell he wants to find his parents as soon as possible so he can get the hell out off there.
Yes, I hope so. A character with such looks should be more than a MC development cannon fodder.
I thought it was because the movie was rushed, but nope, she gets the same treatment in the series.
Why the hell did I thought she was gonna be a character, i don't know.
How stupid are YOU?
These flashbacks were never showed in Gundam before, retard. It's not a complete adaptation of Origin. Just Char's flashbacks.
Faggots like you just have to bitch about everything.
I'm alright with them animating stuff that has not been animated before, but people want an adaption of the ENTIRE Origin, which at that point would be a remake of 0079.
Actually animating Char's back-story is alright, because that hasn't been done yet, but I don't give a fuck about seeing Garma's death again with just better animation. I've already seen it. I want new shit.
I honestly don't mind Lalah as a charcter. Sure she doesn't have the most complex development but she still serves her purpose at least. The problem is just that we haven't saw enough potential out of her probably due to the series getting cut short(that is if she was part of the original 52 episode outline).
And yet, she gets brought up in Zeta, ZZ, Char's counterattack, and probably more all the time.
Damn, those who haven't seen MGS might think she's actually a character for making the protagonist AND the deuteragonist/antagonist (seriously wtf is char) fall in love with her IN DEATH.
SONICS ARMS AREN'T BLUE BAN SEGA STOP OPPRESSING ME AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH
Maybe Frozen Teardrop
>caring about crossbone
In the original continuity the Federation already abandoned side 3 for years before Zeon Deikun was assassinated and the Zabis took over. In Origin they're still around and letting Side 3 drive around in armored cars shooting each other and shit for some reason.
In the youtube preview for this new episode in the OP Char seems to be a lot older than he was in the first, but then there's a shot of Ramba Ral getting into a bar fight with some Federation soldiers.
So when exactly do the Federation leve Side 3 in origin?
Amuro's eyes are one if not the most changing thing in the whole UC. They are:
-Dark brown (in the original series)
-Hazel (my personal fav, the most usually seen in YAS artwork)
-Green (I swear there're places in The Origin in which YAS colors them dark green)
-And now turquoise
I've given up at this point. I don't care color consisntency anymore. They're beautiful anyways.
>So when exactly do the Federation leve Side 3 in origin?
We'll most likely see that in Episode 3.
The Feddies voluntarily withdraw from Side 3 after Char and Garma's attack on their garrisson
>G-Reco season 2?
No. Tomino already said he wouldn't do more episodes due to his age. It's probably for the best, as Gundam 2nd seasons are notably worse than their 1st.
Definitely not. We've known since the All Gundam Project and HGUC F91 Harrison's colors that we'd not be getting Crossbones because the shows are made to sell kits, and if the kits are already going to be on sale, there's no reason to make the show.
Yes. We will be getting another AU project soon, as per recent announcements and Derringer's clarification, which will almost certainly be unrelated to Build Fighters.
