>GOLDSTORM Tv Series - Starting next week, O-T is subbing.
>Anime end cards for episodes 1-21
Thoughts on the anime ending?
I think the Zorro/Garo combination was the coolest thing ever. I was like:
> "Is he going to-"
> "FUCK YEAHHHHHHHHH"
It's interesting to note that it didn't really do any special damage to Mendoza. My main problem is that Mendoza didn't really care about the final battle, when it felt like he would've easily won if he was remotely invested in it.
Also, there was no reason for things to get this far. All they needed to do was to go "Fuck it." and put a sword through his heart. It's not like they didn't have plenty of chances! Also, how did he survive getting swallowed the first time?
God this hit me hard, I wasn't expecting it at all from this show but it had me sobbing like a bitch
My dad died last year Fuck
A gift for all the audiences of the Gold Storm movie
the villain's motive is simple: the creator wish a world without horra, I had fought so long but they just keep coming, humans are the cause, KILL ALL HUMAN!
It's a good idea if your goal is to get rid of all dem horrors and it even makes perfect sense in the context of the show, so it's not just being hardcore edgy for sake of extra edge.
>Also, there was no reason for things to get this far. All they needed to do was to go "Fuck it." and put a sword through his heart.
Leon did that, then Mendoza pulled his heart out to merge with Anima.
Are the any webms of GaroZoro fighting Mendooza?
Just finished watching the last two episodes.
Sorry to bother with this stupid question, but if you want to hook someone into watching the GARO live action Tv series, what episode/movie would you show him?
Here's a fun thing.
Play "Leon - The Summoning of Garo" the instant he starts drawing the circles. The violin part will start up right as the camera focuses in on GaroZoro behind Mendoza.
son of a bitch, this had to hurt like hell
Second-ugliest sword in the entire franchise. Designer really dropped the ball with that one.
It's not as bad as his alleged original form.
First series: 7 for the action, 12 for the FEELS or 21 just because.
MAKAISENKI: 7, 8 or 23, mainly for the action
YamiTera: 9 for the action, 19 because epicness.
Makai no Hana: 4 because lolhorrorreferences, 7 for the action.
If I had to pick a scene from outside TV series, it would be either Kiba vs Garo from KIBA Gaiden or Zero vs Ring from ZERO BLACK BLOOD.
Actually, it's a shame to have to partially spoil someone to get them to try anything. But I supose it's worth it in a case like this.
Well, in the novels and other early printed material they state explictly that Garo is not the only Golden Knight. However, I personally think that it's questionable wether that initial concept remains true. For example, if you refer to >>12350300 it's hard to tell how seriously one should take the colors in that scene, considering the Knight shown is just a blurred Zero made to look golden.
I think theres probably a few more Gold Knights through out the world.
Is there any mention of knights outside of Japan?
That meeting in Makai Senki showed there are plenty of mook knights in Japan, so there has to be plenty more throughout the world. I'm pretty sure horrors are a world wide thing, at least. Otherwise Japan is hella unlucky.
Well, Valiante is pretty much Spain, but as far as we know, HnK's continuity is different from the toku's. It at least shows that Makai practitioners exist all over the world.
Then again, put it this way. If Garo were, say, an American production, we'd only ever see Knights in, like, LA or New York and it would always seem like the most powerful and dangerous Horrors just happen to manifest there. Only difference would be we'd probably see a more diverse range of ethnicity among the practitioners.
welp, that was pretty underwhelming, even the final boss, which was a FUCKING GIANT TRANSFORMING CUBE
is Makai no Hana better than this 3rd season?
>welp, that was pretty underwhelming, even the final boss, which was a FUCKING GIANT TRANSFORMING CUBE
YOU TAKE THAT BACK
>is Makai no Hana better than this 3rd season?
PS Get the over-time subs.
>is Makai no Hana better than this 3rd season?
That depends. If you like seeing Garo doing 99.9% percent of the heavy lifting while every other character bathes in the light of his brilliant excellence then yes, much better. Otherwise, not so much.
Man, Crow was such a waste for such a sick design and concept.
It was a bit upsetting that Ryga didn't get some kind of special CG-laden super form in the final battle. He'll probably get one in Gold Storm, though.
Now that I think about it, that's three seasons now that have a plot about restoring the Garo armor's natural form.
I fucking loved this shot, Its gonna be my background for a long time. Does anyone have any idea subs normally take for Garo? Goldstorm is gonna be my first time following a series as it comes out out
What's everyone's all-time favorite Makai Knight armor?
I'm having a hard time deciding between Dan and Gaia.
Dan, definitely. Best armour and best horse
>tfw no figures
It's at least mo-cap right? The movement was way too natural when they were being flashy at the beginning of the fight, but the camera was too crazy for it to be real people. Garo's CGI can be wonky at times but I find it hard to tell when there aren't real people and backdrops on the same scene to compare things to.
Your only real options are tracking down an Equip & Prop or getting the SIC KT. I can't for the life of me figure out why he was passed over for the Makai Kado treatment.
It was probably mo-cap. I've not watched the making of MAKAISENKI, but at least for the horse fight in KIBA Gaiden, they used a stunt actor doing mo-cap on a mechanical horseback.
Favourite Movie/Special go! Mine is probably Beast of the Midnight Sun because Dan is best Knight
And Jabi is best girl
Meanwhile, on /a/:
>It went downhill since it kill lara. The problem is that tokusatsu has many woman fans. Anime is usually more spesific. Garo shojo or drama twist and tokusatsu bad pacing it is not works well at anime.
>Garo want to appeal to its woman audience but woman that like tokusatsu a lot of them hate anime too. Garo lack of focus to where that the story goes and its target audience.
Im bored and doodling stupid shit at work. How does this look for a makai knight?
Pic related and maybe stuff like Berserk (DC), DMC serise and Ninja Gaiden series.
Oh man, just got to the end of the first season of the live action. That was a pretty nice ride, except that the Kiba fight at the end of the last episode felt kinda...tacked on. Anybody got the list of shows/timeline since I have no fucking idea what to watch next?
Production order: First season>Beast of the Midnight Sun>Red Requiem>Kiba Special>Makai Senki>Lament of the Dark Dragon>The one who shines in darkness>Tougen no fue>Zero Black Blood>Makai no Hana>Anime>Gold Storm
Timeline: First Season up to episode 22>Kiba Special>rest of the series>Beast of the Midnight Sun>Red Requiem>Makai Senki>Lament of the Dark Dragon/Tougen no fue>Zero Black Blood>Makai no Hana>The one who shines in darkness>Gold Storm
Doesn’t matter. The framing story takes place between episodes 22 and 24, so if the piece as a whole has a single timeline placement, it’s there. Moreover the request was for viewing order. You’re not going to watch that special before watching up to episode 22 first.
God I love Mendooza's final form
He reminds me a bit of Hal Jordan, though.
They both have the power to create projections of (presumably) any object and all they do is summon giant fists.
A pretentious shirtless glowing blue final boss who can make attack hands out of thin air and Bayonetta is the one you think of?
>He reminds me a bit of Hal Jordan
>all they do is summon giant fists.
Have you ever read his early Silver Age appearances? His constructs are very simple but they were not limited to giant hands.
>Silver Age Hal Jordan
I only know of him from these panels
It's more or less Lost Shine but gold everywhere but the helmet. Why not just make a gold version of Lost Shine's head?
This finally came in today, there was a lot less articulation than i imagined on garo
Anyone got any clue how the anime sold? I like my Toku but I really loved the anime a lot. I imagine it's more just a one time thing to promote the main series because of the anniversary though.
Garo hasn't really been "successful" in a while. YamiTera allegedly has the best ratings since the original series, but the franchise gets almost all of its money from pachinko machines.
Meaning the series isn't so much being supported by fans of Garo as it is people with a serious gambling addiction.
None of the Garo things ever sold very well. That's why the series was considered a one off until someone decided to make a pachinko game based on it and suddenly it starts making crazy bank.
The numbers I could find are:
Makai no Hana volume 2 - 359 copies
Makai no Hana volume 1 - 429
Makai no Hana Box 1 - 1,429 copies
Makai no Hana Box 2 - 1,262 copies
YamiTera volume 8 - 881 copies
YamiTera volume 7 - 521
YamiTera volume 6 - 659
YamiTera volume 2 - 451
YamiTera volume 1 - 597
YamiTera Box 1 - 2,221 copies
YamiTera Box 2 - 2,525 copies
Makai no Hana OST!
You do. But you can just use a throwaway email. Quality is pretty good though it's usually a couple of minutes behind.
Now. But it's a special and not episode 1.
It was obviously going to be this kind of program. They did the same kind of special episode at least with Makai no Hana and ZERO. It was very interesting nonetheless, they even showed part of Makai Kagekidan's PRAYERS PV.
Special's out on Nyaa for those that missed it.
>The horror grunt suits are back instead of blade 2 vampire grunts
>Kageyama will never tell you that he only sees you as a friend
Inga Horrors still retain the mouth thing during human form, though. Besides, those lame bald masks were already ditched during YamiTera. They replaced them with just make-up (which looked much better) for episode 19.
She wants the Golden D
>So this whole series is basically admitting they were wrong when they used all CGI back in Yami.
Nope. Aparently, Horrors in their transformed form will still be all-CG. Besides, they also used the good old basic Horror suit in YamiTera. Furthermore, as it was discussed in the previous thread I think, at this point it's probably better to go for CG to get an overall monster-like Horror that is actually able to fight and doesn't blatantly look like a disguissed person to the general eye.
>Toku must follow my rules
Fun fact: The bigwigs of the GARO production team have never referred to it as a "tokusatsu" series, they use the term "action drama."
YamiTera wasn't even the first GARO production to go the full-CGI route. It was RED REQUIEM.
Actually, Amamiya talks about how he made Garo as a tokusatsu hero for grown-ups in his proposal for Garo back in 2004, according to the DVD booklet.
I don't know, man. Most of the horror costumes look fucking sweet, even if it's really obvious that there is a japanese guy inside of them.
I don't really have a problem with CGI, but the CGI in Garo, generally, doesn't look good.
Must be some other Chinese anon around here. Then again, you don't have to believe in the authenticity of the dvd booklet. Not my problem.
