>Kancolle makes a ridiculous amount of cash
>Toei makes Robot Girls Z
>They finally show an MS Girl fight in GBFT
What if the next full Gundam show is a mecha musume show?
The Gracilis was pretty cool though. It's even a 2-seater.
Nah, I prefer a man piloting something with life-like humanoid face like Valsione, with the unit is modeled (the face) and named after its pilot's late girlfriend.
Depends on if the show is enjoyable or not. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of faith in true mecha musume shows to be good. I would still watch it though for at least a few episodes.
We all know that would be among the first 3 placed any of us would look.
Only if the mecha musume are actually just toys with no personalities or anything, and we get to see shots of their torsos opening up to reveal 1/144 cockpits and them getting blown up and exploding mech gibs all over the place. I want some hardcore gunpla battle with mecha musume. I want everyone to go maximum Renato Bros tryhard, I want OYW and the Zanscare Wars and the beginning of F91 only all the robots are girls being piloted by 10 year olds.
It has counterpart called the Live gundam. It is used by the rival turned antagonist for the first half until she is redeemed. The Love gundam and the Live gundam then combine to form the titular Love Live gundam.
Get Ikuhara on that.
He made the Gundam of the yuri genre.
Now he has to make the yuri of the Gundam genre.
well, Bandai. They already had a headstart with AGP. They just need to milk it more, for example. I know a few people who'd want to buy a
Gundam Throne Drei with Nena as the Armored Girlor a NicoDestiny.
MS Girl anime should have been a thing in the 80s or 90s right alongside the SD Gundam OVAs. Sunrise and Bandai should have been ahead of their time with the mecha musume trend.
Of course, it doesn't mean it's too late at all.
Galaxy Fraulein Yuna is the first one that comes to mind here.
I would be fine with that, but I'd have to leave this place because I would be unable to handle the ridiculously high salt content. I'd be limited to only visiting when I want to amuse myself with some seasoning.
Oh yeah, that was a thing.
I mean stuff like this.
still waiting on that Orichalcum Reycal anime that's never going to happen
I'd settle for some more manga translation though
Reycal's author is such a massive gunpla and toku nerd
Like half of his twitter feed is him posing his Reycal figure with his gunpla models and other figures
>I'm fine with them looking like cute girls
>but they need to be destroyed, gutted, amputated, and trying to kill each other as hard as possible.
>also have some 10 year olds for shits and giggles.
fuckers like you tried to put serious war drama in the kancolle anime, they ended up having shit that appeals to no one.
>Does it have robots?
It has a cyborg bear used to power up a giant lesbian bear-killing laser. Aside from that, no.
I don't know where this "Gundam of yuri" quote comes from, if Ikuhara actually said it or not, but either way it's only meant in the sense of making something of comparable importance to its genre. And it didn't really manage that anyway.
>Not expecting this from Minato from the start.
the design is kinda cool if put in the right context.
Instead, we are told that this is a gunpla, hand made by a creepy stalker, in the image of a real person, with specific features like soft flesh parts and hair, taken to a contest, displayed in front of a whole stadium or something, then used to fight other gunplas.
dammit minato couldn't you be more subtle or something that's just based :^)
that's actually a cool guy. it's started a bit of an argument with folks who have either read it as him being an asshole or a feminist. He's neither.
There are a few circles of it. It used to be pretty fun a while but but a bunch of stupid childish drama erupted between folks and since then it's only gone downhill.
>All this hate
What the fuck? You guys realize we've already laid out the groundwork for such a show, right?
I'm gonna be honest, I have always wanted this. Even since the first season I thought how fucking sick, how hilarious would it be, if someone fielded a mecha musume in gunpla battle and had it blowing shit up like it was suddenly an episode of Nanoha?
I only wish Minato had done this sooner and that we could have seen it actually fight some more.
>either read it as him being an asshole or a feminist. He's neither.
oh please, he complains about fan service and that it is so mean (missing the entire gag) then tries to say he wasn't talking about sexualization
the man is clearly an ass hat
That's why I want a grimdark mecha musume show where they are getting blown apart in the Pacific ocean, dying on shitty battlefields as their treads get disabled by landmines and engineers furiously trying to repair them in the heat of battle being mowed down by machine gun fire, or shot out of the sky with fragments of mechanical girl raining over the countryside, having their wings clipped and trailing smoke before crashing into some European boy's house and orphaning him.
Would make for great comedy.
Wouldn't it be missing on the violent war drama part if its just a bunch of little girls playing dress up? You can't see that and take it seriously, thus breaking any sort of drama.
When the skirt is that short you might as well just go full pantsless. Look at that thing. It's like a fringe. It looks stupid. Plus, maybe it's just me, but a more conventional mech-like armored skit is hotter to me.
I don't get it.
On the exact same day they make minato look like a complete otaku twat by playing up fumina as the hottest piece of ass on the planet with this ridiculous half assed gundam, they give sekai a new obari gundam AND they have him show up in the middle of yuuma and minato's fight for no apparent earthly reason.
Isn't that a conventional mech armored skit tho?
Shit never covers the thigh.
He improved Fumina and showed her how much he cares. It's a gesture of love and admiration. Look at that craftsmanship and detail. She should be grateful. In S1 Fellini gave a woman a gunpla and she was swooning. If anything Fumina's behavior is abnormal in the BF universe. She should be asking Minato to take her right then and there.
>In S1 Fellini gave a woman a gunpla and she was swooning.
That was because ITALIAN DANDY making up for him doing something that ridiculous.
Minato did it because he genuinely thought it'd be cool and got upset when he lost because it IS impressive from a technical standpoint.
Nobody will be as classy as Dom Tropen.
Is there a point to your comment or are you just trying to be as annoying as you always are?
I just didn't think Minato was this type of person. The bit where he made her flip about and flash her "panties" was really skeevy.
Poor Fumina, she was totally embarassed.
That said I loved the design itself.
I can see how THE clap can make people uncomfortable, clapping's just clapping tho, unless somebodies hilariously sarcastic or aggressive about it
The worst that can happen is a rise in complaining over nonsensical things concerning made up female cartoon characters and the imaginary antics surrounding them. Most of that can be easily ignored.
I think /m/ is still pretty good as far as free speech goes.
I'm only complaining because it's out of character for Minato IMO. He's always been a very childish, pure-hearted dude with his heart on his sleeve. I feel like he'd at the very least ask first.
I went to a screening of a film about Chinese children adopted into white American families hosted at my uni. It was a neat documentary, but at the end everybody snapped their fingers rather than clapping. I thought I was being punked.
Sage for blog.
>Takeshi Iori is famed for placing second in the tournament with his White Devil
>he shows up in the last episode to help out
>his gunpla turns out to be this semen demon
That's why now we have feminist jazz hands. Only now has our society advanced so far that we have feminist jazz hands, a combination of words never before possible in the English language. Only after all these years have we been able to figure out the most inclusive and least triggering way of showing approval, feminist jazz hands.
I woulda been fine if the Busou shinki anime had the same storyline as the game, too bad we only got cute girls doing cute things. At least the ova that came before it was decent-ish
>He's always been a very childish, pure-hearted dude with his heart on his sleeve. I feel like he'd at the very least ask first.
>I feel like he'd at the very least ask first.
I want tumblr to leave. That entire description is all feelings no characterization. It reeks of the halo effect.
First off, Minato was actually passionate and hotblooded, which gets derided as childish solely because women can't ever admit that being active and aggressive is a positive trait. Men who don't need to act are considered mature, ala rich billionaire playboys, while lower class men who don't have their ambitions handed to them on a silver platter are considered childish. It's basically pro-social-stratification code for "know your place". If Minato did that, he would've been a bland, flat character with no place in the story.
As for being pure-hearted, he was actually a really petty guy who was overly obsessed with one-upping his rival. He's also downright yandere if you consider gunpla battles a metaphor for real mobile suit battles, since he "died" trying to "kill" Yuuma for abandoning their rivalry.
If there was one trait that defined him the most, it's the fact that he's mostly self absorbed and full of himself except when dealing with true companions and close friends. He wasn't about to show the same consideration towards the slut that stole his rival away as he would his treasured schoolmates.
>chastening their dog
Not even gonna touch that one.
>Not growing up hearing about those poetry clubs where people snap in appreciation after a reading
>Not knowing about snapping in appreciation in general
>women are frightened children who shit their pants whenever someone claps
>the western police state puts them on a pedestal and empowers them over men
>frightened children become the model for how people in society should behave
>men are expected to simultaneously behave like both brave caricatures of masculinity and perpetually frightened children
>B-BUT WHERE HAVE ALL THE GOOD MEN GONE?!
Please tell me, /m/, why the fuck are vaginas even allowed on the internet?
They already have the muddy social pigsty of real life to roll around in without shitting the net up as well.
I get that it's all one big shit test and the point is that men are supposed to push back. But that's hard to do when they've conned the white knights with the biggest guns into protecting them from any and all perceived or imaginary threats.
We can only pray to based God in hopes that he'll destroy and recreate this wretched world, and then fill it with strong, independent gunpla like Super Fumina.
>get btfo by an accurate description of your flawed hasubando
>YOU JUST PULLED ALL THAT OUT YOUR ASS
I heard you liked salt, so here's some for you to lick.
>and then fill it with strong, independent gunpla like Super Fumina
It is at this moment I realized you weren't some angry MRA but a brother with true justice in your heart
Preach on, friend. Fight the good fight.
>fill it with strong, independent gunpla like Super Fumina
it's not rape if you're just feeding your robot right?
>implying this isn't the next step of assimilation
I wouldn't mind a Gundam mecha musume series.
Moreso if they come with unique parts that can be swapped with their 1/144 gunpla equivalent (sort of like Ver. Ka. Wing Girl).
And get into a Super Mahou Shoujou x Robot Girls game alongside other mecha musume and magical girls.
So he didn't see Fumina as she is and instead sexualize her even further to fit his image
gee thanks to prove my point, I love Minato when he's being robot nerd, but as creepy stalker he's worse than Daiki and Mao
Never touch any woman without consent
I wouldn't mind a mecha musume Gundam series as long as the girls were as good as the MS girls, and as long as it isn't complete shit.
Bonus points if they make it like a parody of a period drama based in the OYW and beyond.
Gundam's mecha musume has mostly just taught me that mecha musume have the most utterly generic designs, they're just generic based on what decade they're in.
The eighties has some serious sameface and samehair going on.
We had Natsumi F91 years before that.
That's mostly because mecha musume artist wants to stay accurate to the design and not paying attention to the girl.
Shit's different when there's a series about original mecha musume, or if they intend them to have/be characters (and not just designs), like Skygirls.
We must go deeper. We need shipmechamusume. A mechamusume version of this.
yeah I'd dig an Akitaka MS Girls doing Akitaka MS Girls things show, Yuna was mostly great
or make it grimdark combat, image related
legends say that Yuna began as an F91 Girl game that got axed early on
What has science done?
In some contexts that can be appropriate; during my HS poetry readings they asked us to snap because clapping disturbs the atmosphere. I think it's reasonably common to do that at readings and similar events where you want to maintain a quiet atmosphere. Nothing to do with PC/SJW shit.
Banning clapping due to a few people possibly getting anxiety, however, is retarded.
It could work, but I don't see it being successfully unless they went for Busou shinki anime (replace hamtaro with tiny female looking robots.) Anything that is too serious, then you get people bitching and crying. And the tournament thing was already done with Angelic Layer.
On merchandising, model kits like OP's image already existed with Kotobukyia. The only issue I see Bandai would have is how to get the eyes right without having to outsource the part to factory outside of Japan (making it no longer "MADE-IN-JAPAN.) if they go against using the good old stickers.
there's two type for this show
somewhat serious and pretentious setting like Strike witches or sympogeah and koncolle
or comedic and less plot driven to sell merchandise like RGZ
i prefer something like RGZ, short and entertaining
They should have done the same as Galaxy Angel and make it all episodic.
GA had both very serious episodes where some characters bite the dust, and the next episode everyone is fine and well and it's back to comedy.
I mean it's not like Kancolle has any sort of plotline they have to follow.
Yeah, this would probably make the most sense.
That, and a bit of explanation behind abyssal lore.
And I just learned who the designer for Super Fumina is. That explains everything.
>And the tournament thing was already done with Angelic Layer
ah yes, build fighters before there was actually build fighters
Have them run around skinless then?
This is so fucking retarded, just look at her feet, is this drawn 3 seconds before she collapsed and broke her legs due to the weight of all that junk and scrap metal taped to her ass?
Kancolle should have been made as an anthology series where each episode is made by different people and subject to different interpretation, rather than one full series that tried to dump in a bunch of stuff to varying degrees of success.
If such a show ever did occur, I'd probably end in the same situation I am in now, liking the series more for the girls it doesn't official have than for the girls it does have.
