0079: more likeable characters
Zeta: more likeable mobile suits
there, I solved it
I'll admit it, the MS designs are a fairly major reason why Zeta is my favorite Gundam series.
You faggots are still overhating it though. Get over it already.
>Zeta has best designs
Zeta is best because of Crossbone vanguards
jk just fucking with you zeta does have good designs
Interestingly the characters in Zeta that were originally in 0079 became even more likeable
Lightning>ReZel(All of them)>ZII>Z plus>Re-Gz>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>shit>>>>>>>>>>Zeta
Z-Plus C-1>Re-GZ>Other Z-Plus's>ReZel>ZII>Zeta>Lightning
It's one of my favorite mobile suits and the Lightning just fucks up it's sleek sexiness. I didn't even know it was supposed to be a variant until I looked it up.
>It's one of my favorite mobile suits and the Lightning just fucks up it's sleek sexiness
It improves the design in every single way
>I didn't even know it was supposed to be a variant until I looked it up.
That's how good Ebikawa is
The original is all curves while keeping the design simple, while the Lightning makes it blocky as hell. Also, no v-fin or giant shoulders.
but then theres also the people who claim its the greatest gundam series that was ever made and that nothing else can ever come close
when in reality all gundam series are incredibly flawed and we should all just admit that we're in it for the mecha
I think we have a better idea:
We let people hold their personal opinions on shows, and when we come to a disagreement on how much we enjoyed said shows, we can agree to disagree and go our separate ways.
This means people can discuss any show they want, without threads devolving into shitposting five posts in.
I'm just on MSG at the moment and haven't got to Zeta yet but I find it hard to believe that there is a more likeable mobile suit design than the Zock.
Wow man, spoil that shit, I almost shat myself in panic.
Zeta has its issues like pacing, but it also has some of the best written characters in the franchise. They all have lots of agency and lots of development, and that is why I like Zeta. Haman might just be the best written female character in the franchise.
1)Agency. The character makes things happen. They move the plot forward. They make choices — even if they are bad ones — that propel the story. They make a difference. They do not wait for the story to happen to them. They do not wait to be rescued. They do not let somebody else handle the hard stuff.
2) Relatability. A character doesn’t have to be likeable, but they do need to have distinct goals and desires — in short, the things that make us human.
3) Integrity. Look at the list of characters in your latest work. Describe each character in a single, short sentence. If the words “love interest” appear anywhere in that sentence, chances are your character is a bit crap. If your character’s sole motivation is to be someone’s girlfriend, you can’t pretend they’re well-rounded and still keep a straight face.
Haman has agency in spades. During Zeta both the AEUG and Titans are vying for her partnership, and she ends up basically winning the Gryps conflict for Zeon. She isn't likeable, but her goal is not to be lonely, which I feel a lot of people can relate to. And she has integrity (in Zeta at least) that she is her own master. Her goals are her own and separate from that of a male character. She has everything a good character needs.
Basically Haman is pretty much flawless in Zeta, and then they fuck her up in ZZ by making her want Judau's cock over everything and anything else. It honestly makes me really sad, because she was such a badass in Zeta. The bitch got shit done.
