I want to watch Gunbuster/Diebuster this weekend, should I start with series or movies?
I think the consensus on 0079 is that both the series and movies are worth watching , but you can just watch the movies if the older animation puts you off (and you're a goddamn plebe if you do). The movies are worth watching for new animation and glorious 1080p QUALITY.
You'll enjoy yourself watching them either way.
Personally I like Diebuster WAY more than the original.
I love both to the ends of the goddamn Earth.
Well, not only is that a single movie, it's a dumb compilation movie that doesn't even manage to do that. How they managed to fuck up a couple of already short OVAs, I'll never understand. It's like choosing to watch a couple minutes of a movie over choosing to watch the entire movie. And who doesn't have time for a movie? Only good thing to come of it is that picture.
Isn't that because it is almost exactly the same length? So they had the luxury to improve it instead of pulling a 0079 and fucking it up the ass just so people can go "HAHA SALT!"
>Isn't that because it is almost exactly the same length?
They actually did a lot of editing to make a better story out of it. Gould had a much better death too. it was actually pretty badass and dignified this time.
Holy shit, he said it was his opinion and didn't say anything bad about Gunbuster. Keep your spaghetti in your pockets and quit sperging out, autists. You look way more like gaylords here for flipping your shit at a politely worded post.
I find it extremely offensive that you feel the need to add proper punctuation with the quality of everything that you've wrote in this thread so far. The only way to make things worse would be for you to add a tripcode so it would be like as if you're signing them. It's really hurts that there isn't any real way of dealing with someone like you. You've got the whole white knight feminist/atheist "enlightened being" thing going on but you type like someones who's from 4chan. It's extremely common nowadays and it's really annoying because everyone wants to be this funny edgy sort of know-it-all in a self conscious and rectifying way.
Like Diebuster almost.
Also, you sound like someone who has REALLY had his jimmies rustled. Why you mad, though?
You know you defended a person for everyone being impolite and aggressive towards their opinion and all you've retorted with is doing the exact same thing but instead included meme slang and web phrases tacked on with proper grammar. It makes me think you were that person all along and this was your great troll thread.
That's because unlike that person I have no reservations about being impolite in this situation. They got shit on for being nice, so why hold back? The damage has been done. Of course I'm going to fight fire with fire. Especially when the shitter in question is being a spaghetti-carrying, samefagging retard.
The answer to this question:
>should I watch X or Y first?
Has always been, always is, and always will be, whichever was released first.
I have watched the series' 6 times each and the movies once each. No one should ever watch those shitty movies. The redone audio is horrible and they cut out 2/3 of the plot, including all side characters. There is no new animation or content so there is literally no reason to ever watch them.
Best subs are EtB, but it is 480p. The best release overall is [EG]
Diebuster is basically what would happen if you took Gunbuster and then added to it all the great things that have happened to anime since the 80s. It's fantastic, bordering on perfection.
>Diebuster is basically what would happen if you took Gunbuster and then subtracted all the great things that anime has lost since the 80s.
fixed that for you.
I still kinda like Die buster, though.
Shit, if we're counting remakes, that pretty much destroys his point, honestly. Most adaptations that get modern remakes are generally more faithful to the source material and cover more stuff, on top of being just plain better, like Hunter x Hunter.
