You thought STTGL or Demonbane was the strongest mecha, wait until you fucking see Gakeen
Do you really want to watch Godam? Think long and hard before you answer. There are some things you might be better off not seeing.

Can't be any worse than Mechander.
Like, I can't think of a way for it to be worse than Mechander.
Albegas was the thing that was going to be the third part of Voltron and ended up getting forgotten about, right?
What, do it and Laserion not have raws?
>Also Laserion does have raws. It's not very good either.
Man, and I had such high hopes for it with a premise like that.
I guess there is a reason so many of these "classic" super robot shows have no subs. They're generic and bland at best.
Laserion is a bizarre amalgamation of 80s Real Robot and 70s Super Robot elements that takes the worst from each style. It was obviously trying to cash in on the popularity of Gundam (it even has an odd pseudo-Char anti-villain complete with red mech and killing other villains), but didn't understand why Gundam was successful. The virtual reality elements are just surface flavoring and have almost no bearing on the show outside of Laserion's origin story in episode 1.
The protagonist having to cod his finishing sword in binary each time he uses it is hilarious though(At least when the show remembers he has to do it).
On the bright side, it IS a joint with Saizen. That'll at least guarantee it'll be finished sooner or later. Also, it seems Luurah recovered from a rather painful operation, so he may get reinvigorated.
In that sense, it's probably a good thing that the first shows Luurah is completing are the okay/decent ones. Well, except Govarian. Having Seiji Okuda and Knack on the same show does messy results.

I was afraid of that. It's like comparing Cobra to Total Recall.
So where does Trider G7 fit in all of this? I'm almost finished watching the RAWs and the impression I get is that it's basically slice of life series where whatever the hell Watta has to do with his friends or at school is interrupted at no specific moment during an episode to pilot a giant robot. The fucking title mech feels like an afterthought in every episode, with only the villains being relevant to it at all.
I enjoy Ga-Keen for a dumb robot show. He vomits rainbows as one of his attacks and the monsters are gloriously ugly piles of shit.
Now with a new wardrobe
Good or not I still want to be able to watch it
Just looking at these screenshots I have a feeling watching this raw and letting my imagination try to make some justification for what's happening would be better than what's actually going on.
