Episode #01: Iron and Blood
I was wondering when a general would pop out
Anyway, what do you think of Kenji Teraoka?
This marks his first involvement with a Gundam series as a mecha designer, as well as his first job after the infamous Aldnoah/Zero
I think this is one of his designs
I like its chunky thighs and then thin legs with tiny, not sure about its head though the front is alright I just don't paticularly like the way it sort of flows into hair almost
Was Kenji Teraoka responsible for the barbatos? It looks like something he'd design
I really love the grunt designs, it's like a mash between Flags and the mass-produced Nightmare Frames.
Also, how long before Blondie goes full Shaa and makes his boytoy experience the misfortune of his birth?
We should have current series discussion strictly in a general, any other threads mods should delete. Sure the generals may get filled with shit posting to start off with but they disappear after a while once people learn to ignore them. That's the only reason why they're shitting up the catalogue, for attention.
Man that is beautiful. It's like a lovechild of an Ahead and a Memedorza or something.
No anon this time Garma is going to betray Char is a deconstruction, truly a masterpiece ahead of his time
Here's the non-custom unit, the STH-14S Hyakuren
The previous one was the Amida Unit
Here's the STH-05 Hyakuri, which appears to be using the same frame
It's all mostly homo also learn to lurk twitter
Also I'm getting a kind of Dougram vibe, with the independence theme and a convoy of soldiers having to escort a VIP to a safe place.
>I bet people said this about Heero and Releena, look at what happened. even his clone can't kill her.
Get a load of this guy
So, about the rest of Mars, what do we know?
It's dangerous enough that mercenary corporations loaded up with zippy tanks are a thing. Kuudelia hired an entire combat group of them as an escort, so getting offworld is not as easy as taking a leisurely ride to the spaceport. Gjallarhorn are Earth's enforcers, known enough that they can be identified by their coat of arms, and also hire mercenaries of their own.
Heero looks like he's just there for the paycheck and sick of this shit, Duo looks like he's been told ladies love the fujo angle and is playing it up, Trowa is thinking about Quatre's cock and Quatre is just enjoying his fabulous new shirt, how did they know his favorite style? Wufei is just rocking out because fuck everyone else.
There is no way someone could draw this and not know they were making it as gay as hell. Quatre's shirt is just the crowning glory in that regard.
Pretty sure RT is a Russian news thing and that it's a feminist rock group performing on the street and being broken up by the constabulary by the looks of things. I doubt that's a whip, looks more like the cord on a truncheon or something.
>Pretty sure RT is a Russian news thing and that it's a feminist rock group performing on the street and being broken up by the constabulary by the looks of things. I doubt that's a whip, looks more like the cord on a truncheon or something.
Russia Today is total propoganda masquerading as fair and balanced. They basically used the Iraq War to promote themselves as the non-biased news agency that doesn't eat up the West's lies, but then they make up stuff about concentration camps in the Ukraine.
>all of these dumbasses are taking the shitposting seriously
It's not just that. Certain fanbases feel compelled to argue the superiority of their show in other show's threads, derailing everything. People get tired of everyone arguing about the other show and just make a new thread because you can't really stop it, you can only abandon thread and move on.
>Certain fanbases feel compelled to argue the superiority of their show in other show's threads
Yes, but most of the statements about the shows in question are so fucking over the top that it's hard to believe it's anything but reverse trolling.
IBO seems to already be flatly ignoring the gravity issue, considering the way everyone was straining to carry those landmines, do pull-ups, etc. I'm not really expecting any kind of explanation for Mars's atmosphere or water.
>IBO already doing worse than G-Reco
Wonder what's going to be the excuse now especially when its on a daytime slot.
Anyone else get the feeling the dad was setting up the Gjallarhorn guy and not really his daughter?
He was certainly sweating enough for a triple-cross and didn't seem to be remorseful, just scared shitless.
Ehhh, Peace Princess looks alright so far. I like her. We'll just have to see if she grows out of the naive phase over the course of the show or if she ends up acting super dumb because of it.
>Also I'm getting a kind of Dougram vibe
...you mean the show where most people ended up having personalities, the Big Bad Politician was literally doing it because he figured that his youngest son might decide to build his future on earth and the Big Good Professor was constantly repeating that they'd all be dumb shits if they'd really try to just cut themselves off from Earth for good?
There's a difference between "We think the Russians supplied the rebels with BUKs, also we heard that they're punishing people for claiming that their sons (who were soldiers) are dead." and "RUSSIAN GENOCIDE IN THE UK!!!!11"
That's on par with that sleazy Brit's: "WMDs in Iraq ready to strike London".
RAISE YOUR FLAAAAG
Anyone else actually like the OP? It's definitely grown on me and has been stuck in my head since yesterday. It fits what message and themes I assume the show is going to have
Not really, I personally harbor strong dislike for GARNiDELiA and Blazing was pretty crap. The entire song sounds a lot like Ambiguous, Kill la Kill's second OP. It even has that same stupid sound effect in both.
>If all their songs are going to sound exactly the same, just like Kalafina's songs, then yeah I guess not liking them for sounding generic as heck means I have shit taste.
>Praises MAN ON A MISSION
That's exactly the kind of shit he's talking about though. 'Feeling compelled to argue the superiority of their show'? What kind of fucking autist actually does that? And what kind of idiot not only wastes their time acknowledging those worthless shitposts but actually respond to them?
The most unbelievable thing from this past year browsing this board has got to be /m/'s horrible ability to detect shitposting in lieu of being starved of discussion. Fanbase wars have always been and will always remain a complete wastes of time for everyone involved and attempting to "shut down" retards who can just post pointless comments like "This is the best thing ever! You're retarded if you don't like it!" to get a reaction is completely beyond my comprehension. Why would you ever feel compelled to respond to such low quality bait?
Just what do you people get out of responding to shit like "Stick to A/Z, retard"?
Political commentary on middle-class white people getting offended on behalf of minorities despite not having any real understanding of their situtations.
I want Fatty to fuck the princess. It would be refreshing having the princess and the whale together instead of princess and MC:
The problem here is Poe's law. The fact is some people do have over-the-top opinions and shitposters are indistinguishable from those people. In the end everyone looks like a moron, either for disagreeing or for even posting to begin with. Again, the right answer is to ignore, or be civil, but there's no reason to give the other person the benefit of the doubt and assume he's only pretending to be retarded.
I kinda like the princess, mostly for her voice and style. We really don't know much about her character other than obvious naive aristocrat.
Can we stop that? Why are all people in line to rule completely unaware of worldly matters? Plenty of monarchs were versed in the ways of the world.
Actually, I had based it primarily on the intense political atmosphere that is currently occurring in Japan.
Right now, a stiff battle is happening by people who eat with their hands (The Tempura Society) and people who eat with utensils (The Ramen Club for the Re-Education of the Masses).
I felt I was being obvious, as eating with your hands would quickly make it dirty, but I have come to understand that you silly gaijin have a very weak understanding of what our society's problems are actually like. <laughs>

1) So the Gundam is supposedly 300 years old from a war a long time ago. Who the fuck keeps military equipment that long? Its like issuing Man o' Wars to the navy.
2) I kind of like seeing "Spess Faction struggling to liberate itself" for once as opposed to "Spess Faction invades Earth.
3) Why does Japan think Modern Rich Peopl live in Victorian-like settings?
>People talk about maki and gush over him
>Don't they have a husbando thread for you on /a/?
And let's fucking face it, you don't talk about just the mechs when discussing an episode. There's y'know, a plot and characters going on here too. Add in that, while exciting, most of the latter combat involved the mcs being overpoweringly fast compared to the other MW, and you get the feeling that the actual robot action isn't going to feel that smart.
>Who the fuck keeps military equipment that long?
It's frame/reactors are made in a way that no one knows how to do anymore, and was hard as fuck to do in the first place, so there's only 72 Gundam frames that exist. They were using it's reactors to power the base for who knows how long.
I didn't detect the "middle class white people" thing but yeah, it feels like a commentary about people deciding what's best for others or 'sympathizing' with others despite never being in similar situations.
There's something to be said about Mika's reaction too. What did he want to convey? That Kudelia is out of touch? Or maybe he's just a bit distrustful towards rich people/nobility?
Tradition. You're supposed to look at the bourgeoisie and be reminded of pre-modern society and military, like colonial England and Germany. As to why martians do this, I dunno.
At least they used a more modern depiction for the father. His constant sweating and wiping is supposed to make him look like a stereotypical mid-level manager or politician. And he just wore business casual.
/m/, i'm tired
can we get a gundam series that isn't the same shit time after time?
I really wanted this to be something refreshing instead of
>unlikely male ace grunt soldier gets to pilot badass gundam and save foreign princess
i know these are just long toy commercials but fucking hell it's been the same shit for a long time now
what's up with the obnoxious color choices in the last 10 or so gundam series too
>Unlikely male ace grunt soldier gets to pilot badass gundam and save foreign princess
I am pretty sure he was going to pilot it from the get go. Just happened ahead of time due to Enemy MSs showing up. Also I really doubt he meant to save the princess just his comrades. Biscuit actually kinda saved the princess.
>Something about mining kids/mercenaries feels similar. But I can't pinpoint what
>1) So the Gundam is supposedly 300 years old from a war a long time ago. Who the fuck keeps military equipment that long? Its like issuing Man o' Wars to the navy.
It's Anime, Anon. 300 years are nothing to robotic superweapons.
>1) So the Gundam is supposedly 300 years old from a war a long time ago. Who the fuck keeps military equipment that long? Its like issuing Man o' Wars to the navy.
A lot of speculative fiction has the degradation of society and technological regression as a theme. It all really stems from Edward Gibbon's book The Rise And Fall of The Roman Empire, which set the convention from which history has been viewed since its publication in the late 19th Century till today, for better or for worse. Gibbons in turn influenced Isaac Asimov's Foundation series, which influenced Star Wars and Arthur C. Clarke and so on etc. The key theme here being the dissemination of a
memethat history follows a cyclical pattern where an empire will rise and reach its apogee of technological achievement before collapsing dramatically and leaving behind relics and oddities that cannot be reproduced until the technology to create the artifacts is rediscovered. This
So a better analogy in the framework of the show would be more like, a Frisian warlord building his motte and bailey over the remains of an old Roman garrison fortress that still has a working aqueduct attached to it. But your analogy is closer to what's been historically valid in the real world.
Picture related: history.
>Something about mining kids/mercenaries feels similar
>You really think that Mika gives a shit about he princess?
Nah, but that's how the cliché begins.
One is cold to the other to begin with then they eventually grow on eachother
the princess will have a life or death moment and mika will save her, realizing his feelings and they will have a tender moment, screencap this post
>Thinking that the princess will go with the MC and not Orga at least who has hidden ambitions. Or if they want to change it up with Biscuit.
>Not thinking that the girl from the store will win the Mika bowl
Come on step up your game.
Holy shit its just Metal Gundam Solid.
>Inb4 At the end of the first season everyone dies except Mika and Orga. After about 9 years Mika wakes up in a hospital and is told to go find Orga who has now lost both a arm and a leg.
"What took you so long?"
Wait, but wasn't bellri exactly the unlikely male grunt soldier who proved to be the ace, and at more than one point, did in fact save the princess? He got the gundam on a fluke initially, the fact that he born to pilot it wasn't obvious until much later (well other than the fact that only rayhuntons could power it to begin with).
> Unlikely male grunt soldier
> Son of the elevator operations overseer
> So talented he skipped two grades
> Recites entire passages from their textbooks with ease
He was still young and had zero rank or seniority, but he was a pilot in training, people kept pointing out how he was a prodigy, and being the only guy in the Capital Guard that could move the G-Self just cemented it.
That's not nearly as unlikely as "shut-in who loves industrial mechanics stumbles his way onto a military base, and an explosion drops the HOW TO GUNDAM manual right on his head, right next to said Gundam".
Or "guy from a bread shop gets evacuated onto a military ship and oh hey your mom was a confusing bitch and we can't finish our mech, can you help us and then pilot it?"
Or "rural hang-gliding enthusiast crashes into a military vehicle, all but accidentally takes it over, ends up in the care of a 80% female paramilitary squad and is made to pilot their brand new top-of-the-line mech".
> Foundation influenced Star Wars
It might have done so, but it was far down the list of influences and minor compared to Flash Gordon, Kurosawa and Joseph Campbell. Shit, it literally started life as a Flash Gordon fan-fiction.
>people kept pointing out how he was a prodigy, and being the only guy in the Capital Guard that could move the G-Self just cemented it.
He could only pilot the G-Self because his parents locked it so that only he, his sister and Raraiya could pilot it. The show pretty much states that he got by mainly due to the prowless of the machine.
Mikazuki is a child soldier in a PMC with years and probably the best pilot on the base, alongside Akihiro and Orga is obviously grooming him and choose him specifically to pilot it. It's not really an unlikely coincidence he got to pilot it or anything.
Then again, I think Iron Blooded Orphans is at least starting somewhat fresh, for a Gundam show. It might be generic, but it's not a Generic Gundam show, just a generic fujo show or whatever. It may also become more generic later on, I don't discount that possibility, but it feels fresh for Gundam at least.
Probably a cossack. It's a thing.
>Mikazuki is a child soldier
Setsuna and Heero
>Then again, I think Iron Blooded Orphans is at least starting somewhat fresh, for a Gundam show
How? It's just 00 and 08th Team again
>Mikazuki is a child soldier in a PMC with years and probably the best pilot on the base, alongside Akihiro and Orga is obviously grooming him and choose him specifically to pilot it.
Sounds like Setsuna and Heero the latter of went also was trained to kill by a mentor/brother figure for a reason thanks to Frozen Teardrop.
We never saw Heero and Setsuna as child soldiers except in flashbacks though. Iron-Blooded Orphans is actually following a group of them as they deal with the shit it entails, at least initially. Which is interesting to me. And while 08th MS Team may have had that, it dropped it pretty damn quick in favor of Romeo & Juliet. This has a high likelyhood of doing that too, but for the moment at least it hasn't.
I wonder when the maid pulls a pic related
>We never saw Heero and Setsuna as child soldiers except in flashbacks though
What does that have to do with anything? And the motifit holds true since Heero and Setsuna are still child soldiers since they're both 15 and 16 respectively same deal with Miki and still working for PMCs
>We never saw Heero and Setsuna as child soldiers except in flashbacks though.
Uh...Heero is 15, he's still a child solider and Setsuna is 16 in the first season for 00, both of them carry out armed interventions for a PMC so they're still child soldiers.
> What does that have to do with anything
There's a difference between having a former child soldier working as part of a small group of elite soldiers all using super spiffy units to fight a guerrilla war to free the world and a current child soldier in a group of child soldiers using whatever they can get their hands on and trying to make their way in the world.
Again, it's entirely possible that after a handful of episodes it'll become a more generic "save the world/defeat bad army for freedom" thing, but I'm hoping it'll at least hold off until the second season for that, because the child soldier thing is a fresh angle for Gundam if it sticks with it.
>pilot badass gundam and save foreign princess
That's really only been Wing and sort-of Victory and maybe F91 if you want to think of Cecily as the princess.
00 wasn't about saving Marina, the damsels in distress in AGE got killed, Lacus did way more for Kira than he did for her
The Diana/Kihel thing in Turn-A did involve a Queen, but I wouldn't exactly call the Turn-A "bad ass". For that matter, Heero and Uso weren't exactly grunts. Seabook is debatable.
Unless we find out that Mikazuki's father (or grandfather or whatever) designed the Gundams he's almost completely out of line with the standard Gundam mc. Not only is he not a boy genius computer whiz who programs the Gundam himself, the kid can't even read.
Similar, but 00 and Wing were "handful of teenage super-aces in super suits set out to roll tide over all military everywhere and ultimately end all war", if similar in fujo-baiting and overall tone. 08th was closer in the "bunch of enlisted misfits" angle, but it ended up focusing more on the star-crossed lovers bit.
This is honestly setting up like Berserk in the "quiet prodigy soldier and his buddy the charismatic leader rally a bunch of mooks and start raiding". It's just unfortunate because we know it won't stay that way, it'll almost certainly start packing in more Gundams because merch.
Heero never stopped being a child soldier since he was still carrying out his mission for his PMC, I think you're trying to say that in comparison IBO commendation isn't as lavish since the Wing pilots weren't treated like shit by their PMC.
OK, I thought it was alright as far as first episodes go. But I was disappointed at one thing in particular and it's my own fault because it's something I completely made up in my own head.
During the battle scene at the end when everyone was outside fighting and only Biscuit and the princess where in the hanger, I thought that the princess was going to end up being the one to pilot the Gundam since we'd already seen all the stock footage from the PV. I still sort of hope it will turn out that way, mostly because I really don't want another Marianna.
>love interest gets borked against her will and snaps into infancy from the shock
I'm not sure that would be good, though.
At most, you'd get a secondary mobile suit. Only way to pilot a Gundam is if it's no longer the new hottest thing compared to the next metal bloke.
>the writers later state that the entire cast got lost on the way to their home planet and that there will never be an explanation to what happened to them
KYUN, KYUN! KYUN, KYUN!
Haven't read much of the manga, but the anime is pretty great. The women are all hot as balls too, and even Rock, the designated wimpy main character shows some good character and you get a good sense of why a lot of the residents respect him once things get rolling. Dutch is also probably the best black character in anime. The fact he has no real competition shouldn't detract from the fact that even if he did, he'd still probably win because he's just a cool guy. It has a lot of really good action scenes too.
Main thing about G-Reco's first ep was everything was a thinly veiled exposition device. Moreover, they REPEATED things they had just awkwardly inserted only minutes ago, like the "hey this welder can be a beam rifle" and "it works because UNIVERSAL STANDARD".
IBO had the same rush of exposition off the top, complete with people pointedly inserting introductory full names and titles and relationships into what would otherwise be normal conversations. That whole, "Even you - VICE FOREIGN MINISTER OF EARTH HOWARD LINOFF, FATHER OF KAREN RENEE PEARSON - are saying that?" thing. Fortunately, they did it in depth in the first 6-9 minutes and got it over with, and opened up the rest for more general setup.
Those poor, poor snipers though. They're just offing orphans one by one, and then just kinda look up and "... huh?" in perfect tandem.
i havent seen something that gay, since me and my friend walked in on his black ass brother having a 3 way with a big fat white guy who was a sheriffs deputy and klansman, and a mexican guy who got fired from a turkey farm for raping turkeys
we should have known what was going down when the whole house smelled like booty, but you just dont want to believe it, and try to blame the septic tank.
theres no septic tank to blame for the smell of man booty that picture.
>is claimed to be present in alcoholics, drug addicts and people who over-consume sugar or grain.
fall to Slaanesh confirmed
Domon was a trained fighter/martial artist.
Uso was a child soldier with a paramilitary group before the start of the main events of Victory.
Bernie, Kou, and Shiro were all professional soldiers.
Heero was a trained assassin and soldier thanks to his dad well before he became a pilot in Operation Meteor.
Setsuna was a child soldier and part of a paramilitary organization himself.
Its more common then you think.
>Uso was a child soldier with a paramilitary group before the start of the main events of Victory
No he wasn't. He was just a kid who got caught up in a war and his only experience with MS was piloting videogames. All the other examples are from people being drafted not going into the service voluntary
00 starts showing a pre-teen shota Setsuna fighting it out in the burned out remnants of Krugis during the war with Azadistan. He also frequently flashes back to months of his life doing this as a shota (probably no more then 8-10 years old) under the guidance of Ali with his fellow child soldiers.
As for Heero, he was trained to be an assassin and soldier by his dad. Also Trowe is similar in mindset and upbringing and was likely raised since birth to be a killer.
What examples of draft?
Doesn't count. Starts the story as a civilian.
Doesn't count. Was already a member of the military for Zeon Space Forces before the story starts.
She joined on her own, she wasn't drafted.
OO has about ten minutes of flashbacks to Setsuna's time as a child soldier in Kurgis in the entire show as far as I can recall. There's a few minutes in the opening of the show, a flashback a couple of episodes in to his killing his parents and a flashback later when he has a PTSD moment in the park. I don't think it's ever shown again after that. It's hardly the same thing as following an entire company of child soldiers scraping to get by and knee deep in shitty circumstances.
So was Shinn.
And not that anon but I think the others were getting at that Mika isn't the only protag that's had military training or experience as a soldier/paramilitary/assassin/etc...
It doesn't matter how much the story directly shows was what I was getting at. Setsuna spent several years of his childhood as a child soldier and latter by the main story works as a paramilitary pilot for CB.
Also throughout the entirety of S1 they frequently touch base on the traumas and experiences Setsuna had as a soldier in the Azadistan-Krugis war. Its not a trifle thing.
Just like Heero and Trowe's backgrounds are professional soldiers and assassins sine they were born.
The war with Krugis lasted a couple years before Azadistan took it over, Setsuna was active throughout the entirety. But no one is comparing the set up in IBG with 00, just that Mika isn't alone in that experience as being a child soldier.
If that makes sense.
What were they then? Clearly a military force, a police one perhaps?
> And not that anon but I think the others were getting at that Mika isn't the only protag that's had military training or experience as a soldier/paramilitary/assassin/etc...
I never said he was though? Shit, I pointed out that Shinn was too in my last post. I'm not saying that Iron Blooded Orphans is fresh for having a child soldier as a main character, I'm saying it's fresh (in my opinion) for concentrating on that element. Which hopefully will last more than a handful of episodes. Setsuna's past as a child soldier informs his character in every way for the entire show, but we barely see any of it. And I'm hoping IBO will concentrate on that for a while because it could be really interesting if it does.
>Setsuna's past as a child soldier informs his character in every way for the entire show, but we barely see any of it.
Didn't we see enough? He was brainwashed like all the other kids under Ali's sway, he was manipulated into killing his parents, committing patricide, tricked into believing God was on their side while learning how to use firearms and knives to kill or defend himself, and PTSDing about indiscriminate bombings of civilians.
I think 00 touched bases on his past pretty well. He saw massacres, friends killed, families torn apart and shit like that, it was enough for me.
I thought that was just their RELIGIOUS excuse for the Guard existing. But otherwise, from a secular speaking standpoint, they seemed to act as a police force or internal security force.
Like how the GRU compares to the KGB.
> Didn't we see enough?
I'm not sure how many other ways I can say "I think a show that concentrates on the kind of shitty child-soldier life Setsuna had as a child in Kurgis" rather than just showing it in brief flashbacks could be interesting and fresh. We had no need to see it in OO, but the fact that IBO is about that element makes it different to OO, Wing or any other Gundam you care to name because in those it was just a part of a characters past, not their present.
>I thought that was just their RELIGIOUS excuse for the Guard existing.
That doesn't make much sense IMO. Mobile Suits have long been used in building and maintaining structures in space so it's not like they'd need a facade for that.
But I agree with the police/security thing. They were definitely the ones in charge of national defense, hence the Recksnow. Don't mind the filename it was in preparation of someone asking about the 'security' in Capital Territory regarding Aida and peoples concerns of her being able to freely move about.
It's the difference between a few flashbacks of Spike's days with the Red Dragons, and actually having a series following Spike as a Red Dragon. In one, we see glimpses and we see the repercussions as people from that past show up. But in the other, we actually get to go along for the ride of those days, rather than just echoes in a later tale.
Similarly, we keep saying "oh, CB was a PMC, this group is a PMC too". Technically, maybe, but CB was about as military as the Wing boys. They didn't get uniforms until S2, and spent S1 looking more like the eccentric cast of some random procedural. Plus, it was mainly following the four Gundams around with some bridge bunnies in tow rather than a whole regiment of guys in combat boots.
There is this weird system where they have to plug into the Mobile Workers. Unless every mobile suit/worker/armor uses this same system they probably aren't going to be shirtless in every fight.
They were also shown wearing suits in space but that's just common sense.
I learnt to embrace by taking my shirt off too
It was getting a little hot anyway
my pants felt a little tight so they came off as well
anyway i found this episode surprisingly pleasurable
i cant wait for next week to come
CB was an organized, privately funded military arm of a philosophical movement based around its founder's ambitions and ideals. They didn't have specific ranks but they were very specifically organized into occupations, roles, and jobs.
Probably by fucking up a menial job she was given as busy-work to highlight how removed from their reality she is, how far she has to go and to help her learn some humility.
Man I hope she gets a whisker at some point and pilots something, even a worker to do some routine maintenance or something. It'd be a good way to help her form a sense of brotherhood that the entire group has to recognize.
I don't really care if she fights, I just think that having her go through the procedure would be a good way for her to bond to the crew, because it'd show commitment as well as bravery, which are probably things they'd respect in an ally. It's also entirely necessary to use even the worker pods, and if she's gonna be around them long term she's probably going to need to use one eventually, even if only for work and not battle, because they're presumably pretty useful in that regard too.
Operators as fuck.
tanks and such get hot as fuck in the cockpit where most mobile suits (depending on timeline or series) have heating and air. I wouldnt doubt if the system plugs through shirts and stuff just need a hole or interface for that metal thing to plug onto before hopping into the suit.
Friendly reminder that Shiro thought wearing mobile suit regulated normal suit in his ground gundam was a good idea even against his teams advice only to burn up like he was in a oven
I thought that was a great touch, since Amuro had to wear that normal suit all the time. But then, Amuro wasn't sitting out in the jungle for hours on end like 08th was - he got out of a ship, smacked faces, and left.
I know those eyes are supposed to look ugly but in anime they can look cute
> someone went through all this effort to photoshop Gyan-nii's outfit in to a maid dress
> they didn't fix the color on the shoulder or the back of the collar

They kind of make you look like a criminal
Pretty sure that's mostly down to almost everything else about the photo, from the grainy texture to the expression. It's like a passport photo, and almost everyone looks like either a criminal, a hobo or a psycho in a passport photo.
>inb4 somebody surgically inserts silicon implants in their back for the full experience
Mecha designs are unnussual, but I approve. It's the writing that bothers me the most here.
They spend the whole damn episode fucking talking to each other about the politics of the world. Jesus Christ. This is the kind of shit you stick in a filler episode half way through. You establish basic stuff in the world. 2 or 3 main characters, and the world they love in. I mean, I don't even fucking know what fucking planet these kids are on. Are they escorting her to earth? Are they on earth and she met them there? Hell, how did that kid even make it back to his gundam?
This series is looking pretty shitty already.

Uh, that's all answered in the episode anon.
I'm not even asking how you got through G-Reco.
Tell me, how do you remember to breathe?
>This marks his first involvement with a Gundam series as a mecha designer

I didn't know Alex from Gangsta was in this show.
>Daisuki, Youtube, Crunchy, Funi, and I'm probably missing like 3 more.
It's not on Crunchy, Funi probably won't sub it, and it's blocked in the US on YouTube.
So really only Daisuki is the viable option.
Kudelia has a great moderate-sized chest.
