not /nnkrgs/ because that shit is cancer
>not 'still no ghost subs edition'
I'd rather call it Neo-Heisei than Heisei Phase 2, as that implies that Toei is actually doing continuity.
Thing is, what the hell would we call the next 10 Heisei Riders? Neo-Heisei-Neo?
Stop making fun of suit actress with smaller breasts
I want this to be real.
And I would like subs too. Spoopy bugman seems neat.
44 years, 1217 episodes, and counting.
Yurusen is easy money, I doubt John Toei regrets that decision.
I've seen worse Kaizo levels. But then again, those were ROM hacks where it was assumed that you would spam save states anyways.
Learn to appreciate '80s synth, my friends.
Learn to appreciate the mockery of '80's synth, my friend.
you wouldn't do lewd things to a ghost, would you?
Battride art is so fucking sweet.
I don't get, she doesn't have any tear ducts.
It looks like maybe it might be kinda decent this time.
Oh, well now i am wondering how it got in the BW folder.
Well, it's a budget game.
they always have shit graphics.
I wonder if we'll get a console port eventually of this one.
Why was Drive X Gaim so good?
>discover a Toku podcast on my native language
>they absolutely loved Gaim
>they hate Drive
>they hated Movie Wars Full Throttle, except for the Gaim part
I know I shouldn't be bothered with opinions on the internet but holy shit
Did somebody say crazy arm flailings?
Shinnosuke got pretty goofy at times, especially early in the series
Oh no! an anon thinks I have bad taste, whatever shall I do?
He's a pretty cool guy at the end too.
I don't know why people are saying it's worse than Blazing. It's way more fun IMO.
>a legit band is better than some samurai fruitman actor singing
never would've guessed
I painted the driver's face silver. I can't decide if I fucked up or not.
The cover is only attached with a clip and it comes off easily. I bet an upgrade or secondary will involve swapping faces.
I just realized that the mouth glows now, shit I love it.
Hlj still hasn't shipped my ghost driver or even requested a payment. This is making me worried.
I think the sheet's really improtant to the "ghost" aesthetic, but I get where you're coming from. would surprise me if you get something similar to this down the line.
This looks way cooler than the original driver. What the fuck were they thinking?
Would you marry a ghost, /krg/?
>Phase 2 is the term Japan have used since W.
HURR BORROWING FROM MCU
that was a fun game.
fanbase is kinda weird though.
Because people are only just now pointing it out. They also have phases for Showa as well. Legendary Seven are Phase 1, Skyrider to ZX or Black RX are Phase 2, and the movie-exclusives are Phase 3.
they already made this scene with Undertale characters
>back from work
>still no Ghost subs
Don't make me exercise my moon.
People really didn't care about using it then, as everyone knew. It was only when retards started popping up from rangerboard pushing neo-heisei as the 100% true and official term that phase 2 got brought out by fans.
Real unfortunate timing then when a popular franchise known for keeping a better sense of continuity than Kamen Rider (even if there were glaring "why don't they come to help so and so" moments) started using the phrase.
>Christmas lights up for no reason
>Shitty Webcam picture
fucking Eb Games
>get's quiet, after lunch rush but before after-work rush
>guy I know comes in to say hi, says he has something cool
>it's a drive driver
>tips his bag on the counter and a big collection of shift cars fall out
>fucking around with it, wearing the belt and trying them all out
>he says he has to go do something, will be back soon and leaves me playing with the belt and a few cars
>gets fucking busy again
>say fuck it and just wear that shit while serving people
>keep bumping the key and Mr. Belt shouts at customers to start their engines etc
So cute. There's always something right about seeing kids enjoy Kamen Rider.
No matter how bad the shows can be, the stage show guys are always great at keeping the magic alive for kids.
Stage shows are like, magic or something I swear
It's like watching a WWE house show. They get away with all sorts of silly shit that would never get done on TV just because it's all about entertaining the people right there right now.
Yeah, but it's pretty self contained, much like any other early case in Drive.
We're getting another HBV out of it though.
That's a raw
The KR suit actors are always so cute to the kids
>get home from working late
>still no Ghost subs
>new Turnip Shrubs isn't up yet either
I guess I've just gotten spoiled by the quick work the past couple of weeks.
Watching new stuff
>All this talks about kids being greeted by stage show actors
Fuck it. I'm drunk and wanna hash on shit. I'd post pics to prove it, but you're just gonna have to trust me, but I was a suit actor for Kamen Rider stage shows back in 2013 before I moved back to America. Ask me anything!
Did you ever meet the Dragon Knight guys?
Grading papers and getting ready for an administrative observation on Thursday.
>/krg/ waiting for someone to put out Ghost subs
Deciding whether or not I should jump into FFX or work on my essay. Procrastinating on both accounts.
I wore a Knight suit once, does that count?
Some of 'em are powered by it.
I've been a Shocker Combatman at least four or so times. I actually love doing it because i get to talk in those roles. And it's fine if you don't believe it, even I wouldn't!
Nothing, just waiting.
Just getting over being sick the last 4 days, finished up Drive.
Gonna take tomorrow off from classes so I make sure I'm back to 100%
How many suits do they make for stage shows and the show itself?
Do they ever sell em to the public?
How come? Shouldn't for all intents and purposes just be "another episode of kamen rider"
>Just getting over being sick the last 4 days
I know that feel. Doesn't help that my job is basically sitting in a freezer for eight hours.
Never played it before but it's been in my backlog for eons. That and I wanted something new this year instead of just replaying Costume Quest for the hundredth time.
I'm sure if it's not totally forgotten it'll basically be a countdown timer to when he gets one of his upgrades.
I think it's going to go up to January or so. A little beyond 99 days in real time. Ghost is getting 9 Eyecons just in the 1st quarter. Consdering how there's that "3 souls in one" upgrade based on the leaked sounds, he's almost certainly getting 15 souls by the 2nd quarter.
Do you think Kyu and Shinnosuke occasionally hang out together to watch Murmur Mansion after the 072 arc?
Rider OC's really the Faiz aesthetic. Hardly see any Kabuto stuff though.
1. Multiple, though they're often reused until the point of shit literally snapping off. You know that Kamen Rider Blade stage show suit? Where if you look closely you can see visible wear and tear? That's just the surface level. More stuff that rubs together or can potentially hit things = more visible damage. Whe nI saw pictures of the stage show G3 I was wondering how often shit on that snapped right off.
2. If you're lucky, you can potentially buy scrapped helmets. But they're worthless though. People have suspected it before, but I can tell you they often reuse those suits for movies. Especially the Kame Bazooka.
>Never played it before but it's been in my backlog for eons. That and I wanted something new this year instead of just replaying Costume Quest for the hundredth time.
Have fun with it man, it's a pretty easy game to pick up, but exploring the mansion and trying for that 100% can be pretty challenging the first time around.
>I know that feel.
What did you have?
I have a upper respiratory infection, seems like it's going around like crazy, I know several people who had it this week.
Watching fun shows and cute shows. Sometimes cute fun shows.
basically the same thing. Been coughing up a lung and feeling like all kinds of shit lately but at least the worst of it is behind me.
working in the diary section of a grocery store
I'm gonna start bleeding out my eyes if I keep looking at this shit.
Now that the first episode's been out for a while, can we all agree that Ghost is shit?
>I have a upper respiratory infection, seems like it's going around like crazy, I know several people who had it this week.
It's that time of year for it.
I'm pretty sure I'm immune to every disease known to man because I worked in a college dorm as a live-in tutor and peer mentor during undergrad and now work as a middle school teacher. If the germ exists, I've been exposed to it already.
>that's not how the common cold works anon.
Colder weather means people staying more inside, and also a return to school to where you're around more people who are potentially carrying it. More chances for infection.
All those adorable videos reminded me of this. Amazon's suit actor in particular is really cute, and I love how Super-1 purposefully avoids using his 5-hands arm to shake hands with people.
Like I said, I'm in America right now and I don't intend on headnig back to Japan until some time after Winter. Right now we're on the honor system. I may end up attempting joining on fo ranother show, and if I do, I'll post proof here on /m/, but until then, I dunno what to tell you.
Also, there's no real "exploits" on stage other than fucking ridiculous crossovers and cool folks. However, off-stage is a whole other story. That shit can be fucking hilarious.
Check out the ZO suit in this, if any of you want an example of what I mean on suit wear and tear. I've seen that one in person too. They spruce it up a bit for when you wear it around in front of people, but off stage it perpetually reeked of piss. Me and two other guys often called it the ZOben suit.
Of course, I wanted a segue into one of my favorites.
I semi-lied, I didn't just suit act in 2013, I did it from 2008 to 2013
>For most shows, you gotta of course do rehearsals, which are often in private and just a lot of glorified posing nad occasionally speaking in place of the voice overs
>There was this one guy who I was friends with and somehow always had a show with - we'll just call him Momo for now
>He almost ALWAYS did Sword Form Den-O, if you told me he was Takaiwa-san I'd claim that I called it because he nailed it perfectly
>He might have actually been the gu yin that one webm where Den-O drops the sword mid attack, stops, turns around, and goes to pick it back up, but I'm not too sure
>Regardless, him and I are doing some rehearsals for a Kiva/Den-O crossover show - I was a Fangire and he was, of course, Den-O
>At the second or so take for just after the appearance, Momo goes in for the signature pose
>Spreads his legs, yells "SANJOU!" and at the same time, lets out the loudest, wettest mess of a fart one could hear
>Stays in that pose for five seconds
>Stage hand audibly sniffs and goes "Smells like peaches!"
>Febreezed the suit but otherwise just kept it like that
We actually have taste.
Long as fuck standby jingles are annoying and need to stop. It just creates a mess of sound that is not enjoyable for the ears.
A short phrase or word is all that is needed.
Or just a simple noise like Kuuga and Agito.
OOO is about the most complicated I can handle before it gets annoying. I think the biggest reason why it is handled well is because it's framed properly without people talking over it (most times), or it being interrupted by OTHER sound effects on top of it, and it being clearly linked to a part of the transformation sequence so it doesn't just seem like random noise tacked on.
It most likely wasn't actual urine, but that kind of stuff sometimes happens. During stage shows, there is no time to just yell "CUT!" and go quickly do your business. If you're a main Rider who is the focus of most of the show, you're lucky for getting even short interludes to just go, get some air, and piss before gettnig sent back onto the stage. If you have to do something like take a shit, well I regret to say, you'll have to bear with it as best you can.
Farting has always been funny in Japan. Even back in ancient times. There's some old art/painting story of people defeating things with super-powered flatulence. It's pretty funny to read just out of sheer absurdity. I don't think he intentionally ripped one though. Like I said in the previous post, sometimes you just gotta hold that stuff in. Though pulling a split in those suits is a fast way to rip one out.
Actually, the one time I had a problem with standbys was with DeadHeat's debut. Don't Lose your Mind was also debuting, and having both a new song and that super long jingle timer on was really distracting.
Otherwise I'm totally fine with them. I don't think I ever even noticed the Wizardriver interrupting.
Then again, I never paid any attention to the music in Wizard.
>Voice is one of the few monsters that actually gets out of the way of the finisher
Finishing up Ryuki, getting a taste of fall anime season, playing unreal tournament 2015 and reading Love Live yuri doujins.
Honestly, at this point, I don't know if I'd want pachinko games banned like I heard they might be soon. On one hand, there goes 70% every budget of japanese corporations. On the other, they'll actually have to give a shit about the brands they own for fucking once.
GET FUCKED KONAMI HOLY FUCK
I honestly hope that the future doesn't rob the world of Stage Shows. They're probably the most important part of a kid's belief in KR.
Can't wait for the driver and other stuff to show up tomorrow.
>Kamen Rider slice of life show
>Drive cruising down the streets of Tokyo
>sees... one of the other Riders, reading a newspaper
>stops and chats
>both talk about something trivial, maybe about Drive
>Krim intervenes with a comment
>Drive bonks him
They were probably spoiled by the fact that Drive subs came out super fast.
Thinking about it, there wasn't really much terminology to debate in Drive. It was simple as "Tire Change", "Shift Car", and Shinnosuke's catch phrases seemed pretty straightforward.
The Shift cars even had their names printed on the tires.
They're probably children that are too used to just using horriblesubs for their anime and don't realize that holy shit actually translating something and getting it all put together takes a while when you aren't just ripping someone else's work and putting it on a raw.
Talk about what rider merch you've gotten recently. I'm hype as shit for my MAHA DRIBA to get here tomorrow. It's my first belt purchase, and it feels so worth it. I'm also getting the Signal Axe and Front Wheel Shooter as well as Shift Car set 03 (Rumble Dump/ Mad Doctor) for the full MAHA experience.
I'm probably going to try to find a way to mod it with a better belt than the shit plastic stock one.
Less shocked, more mildly surprised. For both Drive and Gaim, someone got impatient and threw up a quick and dirty strip so people would stop bugging OT. Was just the main episode, no opening or closing.
Shit no I don't. I need to find a candy toy version so I don't have to buy the Drive Driver. I got FREE 2 DAY SHIPPING with a FREE TRIAL of AMAZON PRIME (TM). I considered getting the Surprise Future set, but it was 25 bucks and it only had one thing I wanted, the Super Deadheat key, and I'm not playing 25 bucks for that.
Good to know.
Nice. I paid 170 dollars for everything I ordered, but I just really wanted the Sudden Curve and Rider chaser bikes, plus I like the Front Wheel Shooter. Which shift car set did you get?
>Musashi's sword arms can fight to protect Ghost's Blind spot
>Ghost's horn is hard enough and sharp enough to pierce armor
USING FIVE SWORDS AT ONCE
You know what's spoopier?
I think Drive's given us the best reaction to slow subs.
>tfw you will never be in a Rider War
>Kuuga: Completely unnecessary arm movements even though transforming is literally as easy as pressing a button on the side of the belt.
>Agito: I dunno, I guess he's trying to gather his chi or something.
>Ryuki: Makes a pose because other Riders also make poses. Never questions why they pose just before they transform, just rolls with it. My guess is that the very first Rider chosen by Kanzaki started out with a pose, and another Rider saw them so they thought they should pose too, and it ends up producing a domino effect, resulting in every Rider posing just because they saw another Rider do it.
>Faiz: There is literally a picture on the case for the Faiz Gear showing a little stick figure raising the phone up in the air just before they transform. Takumi is only doing what the case told him to do.
>Blade: Again, seems to be gathering his chi. Even though Kenzaki's fighting style is literally just flailing around like a spazz until something eventually dies.
>Hibiki: He's just holding his tuning fork to his forehead, which is a necessary perquisite for transforming.
>Kabuto: Raises the Zecter in front of his face, then slots it in. Nothing flashy.
>Den-O: Just scans the pass on the belt.
>Decade: Holds up the card then slots it in the belt. Sometimes just goes straight into slotting the card in, no pose.
>W: Get it? Their arms form a W.
>OOO: Pose is kinda naturally part of the action of scanning the medals.
>Fourze: The actual pre-transformation pose is nothing too strange. He makes a pose with his left arm while his right arm is on the lever, waiting for the countdown to end. It's after he transforms where the "UCHUU KITAAA" thing comes in.
>Wizard: Has a kind of flamboyant pose, keeping in the style of the stage magician.
>Gaim: Kouta, what the fuck are you doing?
>Drive: Shinniichan, you don't actually have to form an R with your arm movements.
>Kuuga: Completely unnecessary arm movements even though transforming is literally as easy as pressing a button on the side of the belt.
Fuck you, Kuuga's pose is one of the best.
>Kuuga~Blade: Not much sillier than standard Showa poses. Completely unnecessary, but it comes with the gig.
>Hibiki~OOO: Poses are actually downplayed compared to past Riders.
>Fourze: I dunno if he even counts considering the main pose is done AFTER he transforms.
>Gaim~Now: The era of wild arm flailing.
I'm a dumbass I just found the tab on the top of the motorbike on Deadheat that you use to flip it out.
>Not wanting to be Kamen Rider
I couldn't find it on Jungle or Mandarake, I had to pay full price on Amazon. The driver ran me 80 USD, the Signal Axe was 44 even, the Front wheel shooter was like 23 bucks, the shift car/signal bike sets were about 10 bucks a pop, I spent a few cents less than 170 USD for all that I got. But I really, really wanted the driver and the signal bikes.
I dunno, I think the blank face is slightly creepier, even if it does remind me a lot of Silver Crow.
"Wholesome" wouldn't be the first word I'd use to describe BM.
>>Kuuga: Completely unnecessary arm movements even though transforming is literally as easy as pressing a button on the side of the belt.
Stopped reading there.
It's not wrong. Looking at the poses logically, the only ones that aren't completely meaningless are Hibiki's and Den-O's, mainly because they didn't actually have any pre-transformation poses.
>Speed, Mach, everything Chase, Heart, and Super DH
>Wild, Technique, DH Mach
Maybe if they're cheap. not really priorities.
>DH Drive, Formula
Not interested at all.
>Inevitable Tridoron, Chaser Mach, and Banno
Tridoron yes, the other two if they get cheap.
Yes, but you need to do the alterations yourself.
I can't believe I've never heard of this show before. It looks amazing.
posting superior bible-based superhero
CG's about on par with the average Rider show too!
