More Yoshii Dan artwork when?
Seriously, we need more of that. Especially the FIS Gears.

I want to cum inside Chris and take responsibility!
I don't think it'd kill you guys to post new images every once in a while
Cute duet needs to arrive sooner. This anticipation is going to give me heart problems, and the song itself will finish the job.
Would you take responsibility for things you didn't do?
Would he have a kusarigama?
Or would he have less Genki and have seven swords?
Since you asked nicely, I made something stupid and quick just for you.
>we will never get more Symphogear manga
>we will never see GX be good in some universe
>we will never see Miku thighs again in such glory
THIS WORLD SHOULD JUST BURN
Can we really blame it on one animator if a hobbyist on pixiv can post about a dozen sets of better keyframes than what GX had in the course of maybe a day or two?
Wait, how the fuck does that work?
Val Verde made her. And I don't think her mother would approve.
Sweet jesus. I knew she ran track, but damn. Those are some nice legs. She's got a pretty nice butt, too, if her SSJ appearance is to be believed. I feel like she tends to get overlooked on the hot body list because of her more modest breasts and since she's never wearing skin-tight outfits like pretty much every other girl in the show
Yes, but it's clear that they generally want the storyboards to look as on-model as possible, and having more frames is usually preferable. I've seen the storyboards from G's key animation book as well.
Is H&D significantly better than Commie?
It's a sensible call given what we know in the first episode, but come G there's really nothing final about it, so the term drags along a bunch of connotations that it shouldn't have.
It's not Heavenrend bad, but it'd still be worth backpedaling on.
Swan Song is a questionable translation for a couple reasons. The first being that it misrepresented to fans what exactly a zesshou did - a "Swan Song" implies that it's the last thing you're going to do, i.e. you sing your Swan Song and then you die - which led to a lot of people being confused about Tsubasa and Chris not dusting after Kanade did at the concert. The second is later in the series Tsubasa literally says "Supaabu Sonngu," more properly translated as "Superb Song" at a later point in the series, specifically in reference to a zesshou.
>The second is later in the series Tsubasa literally says "Supaabu Sonngu,"
I don't remember this.
Commie makes a lot of weird calls in the name of "localization." Nevermind that a good localization wouldn't actually pull any of the bullshit that they do. Look at XSEED's work for an example.
I think that confusion would have remained given what we saw every time it was used until they started abusing it in G.
And honestly I am still kinda confused as to why Kanade dusted in the first place.
Kanade dusted because she had next to no (or was it literally zero?) compatibility with Gungnir, and she was off her LiNKER during the concert because Ryoko/Fine claimed it would have interfered with the Neushtan experiment. Lower synch rate = higher recoil on your body when you zesshou. Chris and Tsubasa both have fairly high natural synch rates and both of them nearly died when they used their Zesshou, so you can probably figure out from there why the backlash was so extreme with Kanade.
>fated to die
>deserved to die
>And honestly I am still kinda confused as to why Kanade dusted in the first place.
1) She hadn't taken LiNKER that day since it was killing her
2) They hadn't figured out that doing the Zesshou as a big explosion thing that explodes all your internal organs is a REALLY BAD IDEA
I've gone on long tangents about why "okonomiyaki" as "pancakes" doesn't even make sense from a localization standpoint.
For fuck's sake nobody goes out for "pancakes" with fish flakes, mayonnaise, cabbage, etc. with friends after school. If you want to localize it just say pizza it's less accurate but actually fits the context better.
Yeah but drugs that turn you into dust because of withdraws are all sorts of weird especially as it waited for her to die before it happened. It was poatic and all but it wasn't well telegraphed at the time ore even after.
After hearing Aoi Yuuki's performance in episode 10, I want the entire series adapted to anime and I want a fucking wedding scene and a happy ending. They suffered enough to earn it.
Outside of speed (H&D still isn't fucking done) absolutely.
Accurate, no memes, and the lines read much better. The longer ones that are trickier and require a bit of creativity are much better in H&D's as well, and they don't over localize their scripts.
It wasn't because of LiNKER withdrawl. The dusting was entirely a result of the backlash on her body from using her zesshou. The backlash was just much higher than normal because A) Kanade's natural synch rate was practically zero and she wasn't on her LiNKER and B) at the time, neither Kanade nor Tsubasa knew how to properly channel a zesshou through their Armed Gear and pumped all of the energy directly through their bodies, which resulted in even more strain than normal.
She's a season too early, don't you think?
>super powerful enigmatic figure who controlled the majority of the setting, gets a golden power up
>enemies created through artificial means, gets nearly killed and revives stronger
>ancient evil that has no purpose other than destroying shit, goes from childlike to mature to feral
If they were at least somewhat clever, which they aren't, they could have gone with something like "Japanese-style pancakes" and they could have handwaved it as making sense because those wacky Japanese and their weird eating habits.
Well, I didn't even know the keynotes existed until just the other day so I guess that doesn't change anything.
This wouldn't have helped me much either but at least it's something.
No, it's going to be Super.
>Story goes back to the original style of the beginning of the series
>Includes all the stuff real fans wanted
>Doesn't try to appease secondary fans or fans of shitty later (in DBs case, noncanon) installments.
Food should never be localized. Ever.
>New enemy is a parallel to Bikki but more of a jerk
>Strangely they're actually on good terms with the cast leaving much room for SoL
>They're also way OP
>They're also hilarious
>Bikki and Chris get the majority of focus
Not unless they put out a v2.
"Is G/GX the first season?"
"FIIS is great!"
As for heiki heccharafags, maybe Kaneko?
Silly and comical with martial arts and people who like to fight. Also, animal people. All my Japanese friends who grew up with it love it.
Yes, trips man.
Might help if I use a subtitle renderer that works with screencaps.
Speaking of heiki hecchara, I need more exploitables to dump into this atrocity.
>"FIIS is great!"
They really are such good girls.
>liking Little Miracle when it went out
>oh shit, now that I think about it there are some lines that are about topdad and I hate the guy but well, there are other lines that I'm sure that are about Miku
>all the lines were about topdad
>hate little miracle because it reminds me of topdad
You're completely wrong. She was listing off things with -shi which is used for those types of lists in Japanese. It's a construction for that type of sentence, and there weren't separate clauses or sentences to apply epistrophe to in her list of descriptors for the steak. She did have a break in sentences, and then the second sentence ended with -shi, which doesn't line up 1:1 with any English constructions, but they chose to represent with a cute rhyme. That's good translation.
Judging by your aggressive addition of commas to your sentence, I'm going to guess English isn't your native tongue. Why do you feel the need to comment on the translation of one language you don't know at all to another language you barely know?
No, commie lacks the creativity to come up with that.
I know, I've heard what happens and read a bit.
I downloaded all the novels but I'm afraid to read them because I don't know where it's going to end up.
It was all about topdad. It was always about topdad. It's time to let go.
To be honest I feel like FIS has the potential to be more interesting than the main trio, or at least that following their development would be more interesting. That is reliant on the writers getting off their asses and let them interact with everyone instead of Maria only talking to Tsubasa and Hibiki and trying to make DMJii's arc entirely self-contained.
I try not to let the context of a song's use in the show affect my opinion of it in a negative manner. If I really liked the context, it'll get a boost (like Rainbow Flower or IGNITE Ginwan), but if it has sad/frustrating context (Little Miracle/
Kimi to IuI find it more enjoyable to just ignore it.
It's fucking atrocious but they can get really creative.
ESL fags and commie shills on suicide watch.
They're only creative when it comes to how they should implement all the dankest new memes, not how to write good scripts. Their powers are for evil.
Also, speaking of subs and Little Miracle, H&D is out for episode 11. Who's ready for some redemption?
>"FIIS is great!"
Don't know who those are but FIS sure are best girls.
On the topic of commie subs, is Chris really as crass as she appears to be sometimes, or is that commie quality?
Yeah, I'll admit to blindness on that part.
Really? There's no other possible way that Carol's line could've been written in Japanese, and the writers (who've been seen to be able to turn a phrase) are completely ignorant of how repeating sounds at the end of phrases works? That's a hell of a coincidence. Maybe epistrophe isn't exactly the right term, but it fits pretty closely (the scheme's very similar to that one quote from The Art of Rhetoric that tends to come up) and rhetorical devices tend to have a bit of give in them by default.
>Judging by your aggressive addition of commas to your sentence, I'm going to guess English isn't your native tongue.
You'd be completely wrong on that. Hell, your comma use is just as "aggressive" as mine, and your comments are substantially more so. I'm not saying H&D are shit or anything like that.
She's super informal, the problem is just that the Japanese version of being rude or crass is just being really informal. Japanese doesn't really have traditional "swears" like English does, so their equivalent of being rude is just being incredibly casual. It's more like talking down to someone than calling them names or directly insulting them.
Chris speaks very informally and is short with people, and is often rude. Both commie and H&D have her swear sometimes, but H&D gives him some actual battle trash talk which is good instead of just sprinkling in swearing.
The biggest issue with Commie's portrayal of Chris is that they butcher the tone behind all of her non-screaming one liners (giving her American pop culture references in previous episodes) or something like this here. The one on the left is Commie, and they make her sound like an idiot in the context of the scene because "Hurr! Don't bring a silly thing like logic into this!" sounded funny to them. You can see with the H&D line that the reality of what she was saying was different.
This is why Commie's claims of "We localize so it sounds natural in English and matches tone." is complete bullshit. The lines about her parents later in this episode are another example of how they they don't care about mutilating lines.
Please stop pretending to understand Japanese. What she said was the equivalent of "It's bitter AND it's smelly AND it disappoints (AND stuff)." That's how -shi works when listing things in Japanese, there's no special grammar device to note there. It's not epistrophe at all. I'm sure you're eager to show off the new term you learned in English class, but you're applying it completely wrong. It does not fit pretty closely.
>You'd be completely wrong on that. Hell, your comma use is just as "aggressive" as mine,
You used it needlessly to indicate a verbal pause in the post I quoted.
>I'm not saying H&D are shit or anything like that.
You said they weren't great because "They didn't include this thing through a creative English translation" when they in fact did, and the other thing you're looking for isn't there at all. You're wrong because you don't want people thinking that H&D are doing a fantastic job succeeding at everything commie claims to do, when in reality they are.
Yeah but sometimes the informality is just informality and can even be friendliness. A lot of simple people can speak informally and it's clear they aren't being crass (at least in the context of anime). Example is that the stereotypical ramen chef will use really informal language, or a certain friendly banchou-type.
It's kind of a swear but not with the same connotation as English. "Kuso" is used for things like earwax and snot, I doubt it's like "shit" where parents will get upset if they hear their kids saying it or hearing it on TV. I don't think Japan really has taboo words, or at least not to the same degree America does.
Would anyone care to translate this? It looks pretty cozy.
That's why I said "doesn't really." Kuso is a weird case where on it's own it's technically just a hyper-casual way of saying "poop," but depending on the context it's used in would make more sense when translated as an exclamation of "Shit!" or something. That's honestly one of the biggest difficulties translating from Japanese to English (or any two languages, really) - both literary and societal context can affect the severity of a word by a massive amount. Take "Daisuki" for example. Literal translation would be "love," but depending on the context it can be anywhere between what Americans would use "I like you" for or what a couple standing on the altar might say.
This is also true, but that's often when it's close friends. In Japanese, the "automatic" setting for speaking to people you don't know is polite speech. So speaking really informally to someone you just met compared to someone you know really well (for example, Chris talking to Leiur vs. Chris talking to Hibiki) changes the tone of speech from friendly and casual to demeaning and insulting.
At first I thought the paragraph that starts with "Always, I've receiving..." was about Miku's love. It still makes more sense than the fucking "heiki hecchara" thing.
>Please stop pretending to understand Japanese.
I'm not. Repeating a phoneme is a pretty common thing across many completely distinct language groups, but I'm certainly not anything like an expert on Japanese. Is there really no other way this could've been phrased? I know the language isn't as lax on grammatical correctness as a lot of others, but is it really that inflexible?
>You used it needlessly to indicate a verbal pause in the post I quoted.
Yes, I treat this as informal dialogue rather than busting out Strunk and White. I might even put in an ellipsis!
It's true that I don't want people thinking H&D are absolutely perfect. That basically never happens, and people treating things as either completely ideal or ultrashit (with nothing in between) bothers me. I think it's important not to pretend flaws don't exist, even if you like the overal product. I do think that H&D's probably overall better than commie at everything but trolling and releasing in a timely manner and I have not implied otherwise, so you can see why this defensiveness is a bit confusing to me.
>You're saying it again. Have you finished your report yet? Is this the time to worry about others?
>It's fine, wait for me
It's a continuation of pic related.
>Repeating a phoneme is a pretty common thing across many completely distinct language groups, but I'm certainly not anything like an expert on Japanese.
That's why your interpretation of what that should be translated to in English (ie. what connotation or "feel" it has) is completely worthless.
but is it really that inflexible?
Since you're speaking from a place of ignorance, I'll educate you. Carol's line in question is 苦いし臭いし美味しくないし (nigaishi kusaishi oishikunaishi) and means literally "Bitter and stinky and not delicious." Japanese leaves out subjects, but we know she's talking about the steak so it becomes "(The steak) is bitter, it's stinky and not delicious." She used 3 verbs in sequence, in the same sentence to describe the steak. In Japanese when you link verbs like this, it's typically done by using the て (te) form of adjectives, or as a し (shi) list. Te form would have turned it into 苦くて臭くて美味しくなくて (nigakute kusakute oishikunakute) which STILL would have had them all end with the same sound. In Japanese, you don't just link adjectives together with a comma or verbal pause in their normal dictionary form (nigai, kusai, oishikunai. Oh hey look, they all end with the same sound again) like you do in English. That "repeating sound" you're pretending needs to be translated is literally their version of a comma between adjectives to link them when describing one thing, or the word "and". That's how it works. The second sentence ended with shi when it didn't really need to, and it created a sort of rhyming flow to it, hence the rhyme in the line. It's pretty much perfect, and captures her cute tone.
>I might even put in an ellipsis
Don't you fucking dare.
>I don't want people thinking H&D are absolutely perfect. That basically never happens
But they pretty much are, and it happened. That's why people are thrilled. A group gave accurate weeb subs that still read well and are clever in English. It's a fucking miracle. Why are you so buttmad about it?
Rub a dub dub!
I think he's just being silly.
Localizing proper Nouns has been done regardless of sense. How many locations have different names in English than they do in their native tongue? And I don't mean like "Napoli" to "Naples", I mean stuff that makes no sense like "Deutschland" to "Germany".
I'm not mad about them being good. I'm annoyed because I went "hey I think they missed something, but so did the others so it's not a big deal" and got "GO FUCK YOURSELF, ILLITERATE CUNTBASKET".
I seem to have been wrong in my criticism, which is fine. I do genuinely appreciate the explanation. Thanks for taking the time. If H&D really are _that_ good, I think I need to switch out my copies for their versions.
>I'm annoyed because I went "hey I think they missed something, but so did the others so it's not a big deal" and got "GO FUCK YOURSELF, ILLITERATE CUNTBASKET".
I posted an example of why they're great, and you decided (and kept insisting) that line was a mistake because of a grammar rule in a language you don't understand. You caught a couple insults because you felt the need to weigh in on something you don't understand instead of asking "But was that line really correct? I heard..." and then you made it a point to say "Sure they're good, but you know, they're not THAT good."
>I seem to have been wrong in my criticism, which is fine. I do genuinely appreciate the explanation. Thanks for taking the time. If H&D really are _that_ good, I think I need to switch out my copies for their versions.
If you'd have asked from the start you would have gotten it. Yes, they really are that good. I honestly can't tell you the last time I saw a group sub with a niche audience in mind (people like us) and keep all the weeb shit in tact without forcing in unnecessary jokes or memes, and then on top of that write it in English that flows very well and almost perfectly matches the tone of the Japanese lines. Knowing Japanese, wanting to accurately represent the script, and knowing how to write creatively in English is seldom scene in subbing. Chris had a line later that episode about her parents that read a lot differently in HS and H&D, so I checked Commie's as well and then listened carefully to the moon. The line sounds really nice in moon but when translated anywhere near remotely literally it looks like shit in English. H&D's wasn't as pretty as the moon one, but it puts the idea across and comes much, much closer to matching the tone and feeling than the other two do. I'm very impressed with their work, and found your "Don't overrate them!" attitude offensive. I can not fucking wait till they do S1 and G. They desperately need (and deserve) the H&D treatment.
Then I apologize for coming off as a dick. It was harsher than what I was going for. There's so much overrating going on in general that it's honestly kind of difficult to believe something's actually what people say it is. It's a nice surprise.
in terms of CharaSongs, S1 was the most consistent in terms of quality, with almost everything being at least good, with most songs in the "great" or "fantastic" range. G was much less consistent, but had some spectacular highs (Ressou, Waikyou, Edge of Goddess Works), but also lower lows than S1 (Oukyou, Bye-Bye Lullaby). GX wasn't as consistent as S1, but wasn't as hyperbolic as G, with some very good songs that aren't QUITE as good as G's best offerings, but neither were it's lows as bad as G's worst songs.
but I like Zwei Wing's more
If my framedumping is any indication they haven't made many noticeable changes to the BDs.
Then again these are the early episodes which had much less QUALITY in general.
Even if the lower budget is still kinda apparent from the scenes
Yumi is shorter than Shiori is shorter than Kuriyou, right? The perspective is a little weird in that shot. I know Yumi's the shortest of the trio but is Beef-chan or brown hair the tallest?
She's starting to slouch over.
Here's the start of that shot.
Yeah, realized a little after I said it.
Maybe Terashima had a little growth spurt in between seasons because at the end of G they're standing next to each other and she is clearly a little shorter than Andou but a lot of GX shots make them look around the same height. But then Beef Stroganoff shows the three in around the same proportions as previous seasons so it may very well be QUALITY.
Awesome, thanks. Man, those three are really cute. I'm glad they got a song but I feel a little greedy saying I still want more from them. The hips on all three of them, too, god damn.
>implying a little bit of pudge can be a bad thing
I know what you mean with Airgetlamh where that looks more like a little pot-belly or a hinto f a baby bulge, but these girls more just look like they've still got a bit of baby fat.
>Special brand of Kanadefags?
Guilty as charged. I won't argue that Minami and Nana's voices sound a lot better together than Nanjou and Ai, but I like their voices so much more individually that the ZW version wins out by a hair. As I say every time, Nanjou and Ai are just like their characters with their singing - weaker individually, but incredibly strong together.
It's weird but Kayano's voice has really grown on me. She's one of my favorite new seiyuu, both in terms of acting and singing. The fact that she stands strong when surrounded by veterans like Nana, Minami, and Nanjou really shows she's either a freak of nature prodigy or a testament to her dedication.
I really wish I could find more anime she's done songs in, especially solos. Especially solos where she hits the lower octaves, since something about the way she does those is super distinctive and sounds great. Kayano's "Woo yeah yeah" in Orbital Beat (especially Live) is absolutely perfect for that song.
I bully because I love.
Artist only had that one.
But now I found this.
Here's a link to his stuff.
Spinoff of Noise Girls would be great but it'll never happen.
I have this idea of Tsubasa quoting Hand Banana by splicing some footage of that scene together. From 0:33 to 0:34, she starts off with declaring, "Tonight," and then cuts to 0:40 to 0:41 by finishing off with,
But I don't know how to into making .gifs or .webms, and I'm a Mac pleb. I have GIMP, but I wonder how hard it'd be for me to try my hand at making such a memetic file? Or would I be better off asking for someone generous enough to make it for me?
>3 Zesshoushinai full for topdad cockblocking Miku
All of the characters who bullied Maria at some point are dead, so give it up.
Life itself bullies Maria.
How can Life be dead?
Maria has two children and a husband.
What the hell, I thought the first post didn't make through. It took like half a minute!
Pretty much it.
They obviously just clumsily stretched that so she could be doing nothing and stalled her own Topdad subplot while the doll of the week episodes passed by.
Still nothing on this huh?
Which doesn't even remotely resemble Chris.
Despite her exaggerated/fucked up proportions in that art, her thighs are STILL thicker in the actual show
There are some series with individual characters like Proist or Shadow/Luna.
Honestly /u/fags have to pick at breadcrumbs more often than not. I don't believe Proist is even on the lineup and she is one of the few characters who is actually stated as being into women.
Yeah, Andou is the tall one with the spiky brown hair. I got the idea actually looking at >>13397995 and seeing that her tits are actually almost as big as Terashima's, which I never would have guessed from any of her other scenes. I figured I could play off that since she does wear her clothes kinda loose, making it harder to tell what exactly her body is like.
Depends on how /fit/ we're talking. I know I can't speak for everyone (especially given the kind of musclewomen I've seen in fanart) but I think more muscular than, say, the fit Street Fighter gals (like Cammy or Makoto) starts leaning a bit too much for my tastes.
Dunno what you'd intend to do with this feedback. I assume you're a drawfag?
I think the interesting thing is that she was embarrassed during the talent contest and not as into it as the other two who were super gung-ho, but then she spontaneously had a cat outfit during Beefu Stroganoffu
nya. Call me silly but I'm still unpacking that.
Enemies who get to sing an intro/outro.
Writefag, actually. And I was thinking along the lines of Mikasa Ackerman from Attack on Titan, where she's clearly quite fit but not what most would call "musclebound."
Oh yeah, she's definitely got her tastes in what I'm writing.
Her tastes being Itaba and Terashima.
>not being into justice because she was embarrassed about cosplaying a villain(?)
I actually don't know what the fuck, maybe it's a sidekick
>Detective Ban OVA never
>even if we got one
you can't watch it with Itaba anways
Based on a very rough translation of the keywords, Okibiki Mantis was the monster in episode 8, constantly suffering due to the sickles for hands. The point of the episode was "What exactly is a monster?"
Okibiki Mantis is one of the breakout monsters from Ban.
Dammit Maria, why are you wearing clothes to bed? I thought you slept naked.
> Maria will never sleep naked next to you
> She will never roll over onto her back causing her big breasts to bounce out into the open while still sleeping
> You will never fondle her tits, seeing how much you can get away with without waking her up
How do we fix this dork?
Forcing her to be nude at all times is NOT an acceptable answer.
I mean I don't really see what needs fixing. Honest her and blondie are basically an entire character together so just deepen their relationship. Maybe have a date ep and some more flashbacks of their time being lab rats?
I prefer the tv version, because it made it less obvious. The quote and the cat-eyes are good enough. Making them gold is just laying it flat out on the table for drooling retards.
This is how you remind me
Of what I really am
It's not like you to say sorry
I was waiting on a different story
She made a circle with her left index finger and thumb, with the other three fingers extended. Her right hand has the index sticking out and from the speedlines she is moving said index through the ring. That is what she's doing with her hands. Do you need stronger glasses anon?
Maybe it's a gesture which is important to alchemy.
Maybe it's some kind of ballet thing because she's the ballet doll, I wouldn't know about if ballet dancers also incorporate hand signs.
Maybe she's pantomiming Dansleif piercing the geah's hearts.
Unfortunately the answer to that died with her so we may never know.
Also in G Maria's hair protrusions looked as much like cat ears to me as they did stubby horns.
I still am not sure what the fuck they're supposed to be because the don't look a lot like cat ears imo
>I can not fucking wait till they do S1 and G.
They're going to? I'm pretty uninformed since I was behind by several episodes for the whole season, so I didn't look at the threads.
>Surfing Pixiv for pictures of Stern
Everybody knew about that
Oh, it's fucking nothing, only nostalgiafags like it, it's kinda meh by today's standards.
What is that?
Angry bikki excites my dikki, almost as much as happy genki bikki. She's too good for this world.
Also, JoJo hype.
Can't wait for the Boy II Man battle.
Well she is my favorite doll
And people have waifued stranger
Harems aren't necessarily bad if that's what you're looking for. It all depends on how they're handled.
And, speaking as someone with experience, there are some key differences between old and new harem shows.
She's as likely to reappear as Ver. No body, no death.
No body, no death.
Couldn't you say the same thing about bestgirl when she died in G? Perhaps we need stricter criteria
C'mon, dudes! Those were alchenoise, completely different.
>The new, completely unique enemies, the autoscorers of the kabbalah.
>If S4 enemies really are evil mahou shoujos, the new autoscorers are the mascot characters that give them powers
The thing about the dolls is that their deaths are what activated those things in Carol's lair, so all four of them are in fact confirmed dead. That doesn't mean they can't be brought back by some magic since they're magical constructs to begin with, but it's all in Kaneko's hands.
Ver though, he's definitely gonna be back. Hopefully as a total bro who is still insane.
>Ver though, he's definitely gonna be back. Hopefully as a total bro who is still insane.
>Mix red and yellow and you get orange
>MC's color is orange
>Ver though, he's definitely gonna be back. Hopefully as a total bro who is still insane.
So, anyone else anxious for the arrival of the HERO formerly known as Ver?
What do you guys say, Ver AI central computer, Ver belt, Ver homunculus, the possibilites are endless.
Wow, I never realized that's what that was supposed to be, but that makes a lot more sense. I assumed it was "Arcanoise" as in "Arcane Noise" and Alca was just the Japanese being quirky.
>Ver becomes the MC, but also becomes very lazy
>plays video games all day instead of doing Hero stuff

I haven't played the games yet, is she really just pretending? She just always struck me as legitimately dumb. But that would be impressive if it is all a clever ruse.
It's never explicitly stated, but some of the stuff she does and some of her lines make it seem like she's merely pretending.
She's like Tylor, she just wants to take it easy, but she can come up with some good stuff when she really needs to. She usually leaves stuff to the other three because they take their jobs very seriously and will generally clean up shit for her.
Unneccessary suffering for the couple that actually talked shit out instead of keeping quiet about important stuff that can fuck them up.
She is smart enough to know she, and nobody else, is the maincharacter.
When she gets serious she is actually the most competent of them all
She also KNOWS Noire is all for her and plays hard to catch
but most people in gameindustry ARE retarded so there is that
Yeah, but who cares about how good she is in actual battles? Nep games are MASH TRIANGLE TO WIN anyway. She does the least in events.
>We are never getting a neptunia/symphogear spin off.
>We will never see Neptunia and Bikki compete in retardation
>We will never get Chris and Noire understanding each other through their awkwardness and loneliness
>We will never get DMJii and Ram/Rom doing cute stuff in the background
Sometimes I wonder why I even bother getting out of bed...
You mean Kirika falling in Ram and Rom constant pranks
>Uni and Chris talking about guns
>Vert and Maria fighting over Nepgear
>Noire and Tsubasa being all work and no fun
>Histoire having panic attacks over people as lazy as Nep
>Steamax and Ogawa being ninjas
Ganache remplacing Dr.Ver
>Nepgear - Tsubasa (Imouto Mode max)
>Uni - Serena (Uni Status: Removed)
Think about your life choices that caused you to be this wrong.
specially since Vert dream imouto is a blonde Uni
Wow, this made me think about how Zubaban is probably the hardest geah to adapt to someone in the nepverse.
Maybe have Vert and Maria trying to win over Uni and Nepgear as imoutos, while they have actually fallen for how cool Tsubasa is.
Cue the two of them trying to outsword Sakimori and failing miserably at it, as they fall for Tsubasa themselves.
My choices were calculated for that reason.
Would you prefer Generic Anime Fighter #10 billion?
Matter of taste. I love Assists. I don't think I could imagine Symphogear in a fighting game without hyper jumps or tag-team mechanics. For the "ideal" Gear fighting game engine, I don't even know what to call it. "Three-person Tatsunoko"? It's a tough call because the franchise is easily more over-the-top than ArcSys' engine would allow but not so ridiculous that it'd go full-on Vs. Game level of speed, mobility, and zoning.
Blame it on my lack of experience but it's just something in the art style. GG, BB, Persona, Under-Night, Melty Blood, etc. all have ridiculously similar engines and sprite-style. It definitely feels like ArcSys and Frenchbread worked together to make a template for their fighting games. The only anime-styled fighting games released recently that don't use them are, like, Arcana Heart and KoF12/13 (if you even count KoF).
I don't really have a problem with the games, but they don't really do anything for me personally. I like super visceral, painful looking attacks with solid skills shown by the characters and with the exception of supers most of the fighters don't give me the same satisfaction when landing a hard hit as more traditional fighters. That said, any fast-paced fighting game will tend to do that by nature of keeping the pace up. You can't really have the detail of pain that something like Third Strike or Tekken offers in a fast game without breaking the pace with something like a Destroy move (for the record, Destroy moves break the pace in a good way).
