Anyone have sprites or sprite rips of Z3's Magna Gunleon, Vigrora Glory S, Li Brasta T, and Advents first mech?
Would you spank her jew ass /srwg/?
I feel like BX has tons of special lines. I was fully expecting, say, Yuu or Youta to have lines for fighting the Zonuda... and then Banagher had one too (about the possibility of saving Mikoto, because it ain't Banana without kanonsei or soredemo somewhere), and then pretty much everyone except Hy and Boss. Wasn't quite expecting that.
Oh, and multi-pilots GGG is silly because the japanese and chinese dragon brothers have the exact same spirits.
BX DOES have a ton of special event lines, not just text quotes but voiced ones too and a shitload of series crossover ones.
If only BX was a bit better on the gameplay front it'd be actuall impressive how much effort they put into it.
Clearly you haven't been around long enough then anon, your time will come.
That aside the last thread clearly got out of hand with shitposting.
HAHA TIME FOR MACHINELAND
Still bothers me how halfassed the GAI upgrade was.
HEY HERE IS THIS BIGASS SWISS ARMY KNIFE WITH NO THEMATIC RELATION! Oh hey I lost it after fighting space crab.
That is ignoring even in its game they forgot the thing even had a knife attack because it's in the fucking sprite set but unused.
Yeah. Chou/Geki and Gen/Gou all have the same spirit set (Strike, Persistence, Iron Wall, Fighting Spirit, Valor, and Courage). However, the components have different spirit sets.
you talking about me, anon?
The only reason Gai was there was because people bitched about Brasta not getting an upgrade in Hakai. So they halfassed one. Rey is the real upgrade.
I'm honestly surprised they didn't just BS Gai mode away entirely in Tengoku.
fuck now I can't get Masquerade out o fmy head
There will be those who will never remember what you did
but I will
Emperor Gore was a lot less annoying than I was lead to believe.
Makes up for it with some pretty great animations, thought.
Also my money's on it being able to transform again like Genion can transform into GAI. The shape of the inside of each wing is fitted to the backs of the legs, etc. Probably Genion SOL or something like that. Same way Librasta will probably get an upgrade from Trial to Final, Gunleon will probably stick Cielo in as a third pilot, and Virgola will probably get a Glory Stars combo attack.
The changes start around the time of the Berlin arc. Dearka gets added to the mix and Shinn opts to ask his opinion of Kira, because Shinn feels that Athrun gives a heavily biased opinion. Dearka says Kira's alright, but tells Shinn to form his own opinion. This leads to Shinn to yelling to Kira that he wants to save Stella right before Kira attacks, and Kira says "Oh, okay then". Stella lives (and joins later on if Shinn reduced her HP; otherwise, she lives but doesn't join), and Shinn no longer has a revengeanceboner.
This leads to Operation Angel Down, where Kira and company explain what Kira is (Waltfeld straight up says Kira's a Super Coordinator, surprising a few people) and try to naturally talk things out. Cue Iczer-2 crashing the party and Kira takes a shot for Shinn. This ultimately ends with Talia assisting in faking the Archangel's destruction to help them get out of dodge (Rey secretly reveals all this to Gilbert, though).
Then comes the second invasion of ORB. Things go as they do in the show until Kira nearly gets wrecked by the original villains' newest toy. Shinn saves Kira here (to make up for Operation Angel Down), and they part ways on friendly terms. Then comes the Destiny Plan. Everyone rejects the plan, including Talia, causing Rey to get butthurt and flee. You get him back (if you wish to do so), and stop Durandal. This is all topped off by a nearly dead Durandal crashing Messiah into Neos Gold's face (but she lives because of Iczer Plot Bullshit).
Knew it was something involving them, though I always forget despite the fact that I always get them. Reminds me of the fact that the one time I tried to purposely get Ken, I forgot how somehow and fucked it up.
It starts even before that. This is only mentioned in dialogue because it would require them to make sprites for the Destiny units that weren't in K and they were far too lazy for that, but the Orb fleet battle was crashed by the OG villains, and Kira and co jumped in fighting them. Kira only acted as a shadowly helper to Zaft who wouldn't talk to them, but he didn't fire at them either, so Heine wasn't killed, and he didn't destroy Savior which was instead destroyed by the OG villians.
This effectively kills any reason for Shinn and Kira to have problems with each other since Shinn wasn't slaugthering Orb guys the hundreds and Kira didn't get anyone from Zaft killed.
On the other hand it also shows why this didn't happen in Destiny proper. With the Shinn vs Kira conflict aborted, the plot becomes nothing but Zaft smashing generic EA guys from then until the final battle where Durandal finally turns on everyone. That would have probably made Destiny even more boring that it was.
>This is only mentioned in dialogue because it would require them to make sprites for the Destiny units that weren't in K and they were far too lazy for that
They actually did make units that weren't in K!
The last thread you accused me of being Moononymous when I was just a random passerby tired of shit threads glorifying some anon or tripfag like clawshrimpy or moon. Then whoever made the thread deleted it, to make it appear that I'm actually Moon. Truth is, I don't even know who this Moononymous guy is, until I searched for it in the archive. I don't watch toku shows for one and I've been on /m/ forever. I made this because I was wrongly accused, so I won't let this go unless you apologize. The consequences? YOU WANT TO KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES? How about I CALL YOU OUT ON your bullshit? That's not enough? Sure I've been offended several times before on 4chan, by ignorant people who think they can run their mouth like the little shits they are.
LOOK AT ALL THE SHIT THREADS ON /M/ RIGHT NOW AND TELL ME IF EVERYTHING'S FINE, IT'S FUCKING NOT. I won't take this shit anymore. KEEP YOUR STANDARDS IN CHECK , IF YOU WANT TO TALK SHIT, AND INSULT PEOPLE, GO BACK TO FUCKING /b/. You mean calling out on people who accuse you of wrong stuff even when you point out the evidence isn't enough substance? It's called payback. You talk shit to me, and I do the same to you. SO FUCK YOU /M/ FOR EVERYTHING
>On the other hand it also shows why this didn't happen in Destiny proper. That would have probably made Destiny even more boring that it was.
If GSD had it's head on straight, it would have given added more characters to the plot and focus less on having two casts at each other's throats
That's how I felt about the fight with the Don in AP.
If I can't post Escaflowne plot spoilers without ten people going after me about it despite it being over 15 years old, you can't post Fafner spoilers that are only 8 hours old.
I've learned to avoid all /m/ threads and even some /a/ ones before watching the new episode since the first Fafner episode this season because I accidentally got the crotch shot spoiled to me in a webmd thread.
Genion Gai has a swiss army knife in it's weapon thing that was found in the sprite data. People assumed it was going to be a new attack in Tengoku, but nope. Gai gets nothing new at all in Tengoku.
So that's why everyone hates Andrei.
Now I do too, funny that.
I serious haven't watched most of fucking Gundam, man. Just all of the animated UC (except Igloo because eh), G, and 00 S1.
It's on my to do list, but being stonewalled on Victory for ten fucking months sort of put a wrench in that.
Every time I tried to watch it I either fell asleep, got called away, or was otherwise distracted + a good bit of the middle wasn't interesting enough to keep my attention focused + horrid attention span = I download Victory in October and don't finish it until August.
(There was another reason, but it's of a more personal nature)
So I guess this ongoing new Fafner is just screwing with everything now? Not that the show looks like it's supposed to be even remotely optimistic, given my experiences with the SRW games it's been in.
I kept wondering about that, even though 00's run in Z2 showed what he did. Why did Andrei do what he do, anyway?
Sounds like me when I rarely try to get through series. It took me nearly a year to get through one Sentai not long ago.
Come to think of it, I've had Goseiger on hand for about a month now and I'm only two episodes in...
>I kept wondering about that, even though 00's run in Z2 showed what he did. Why did Andrei do what he do, anyway?
Just before the Memento Mori II shot the Space Elevator, the Federation sent Smirnov up there to secretly attempt to negotiate. They then immediately sent out those fucking drone things, so it's pretty clear they wanted him to fail.
Andrei sees him coming out of the elevator with the rebel leader, goes "HURRDURR YOU'RE CLEARLY A REBEL" and after they break all the glass panels and save everyone Andrei kills him.
this is currently whats happening with me and symphogear. and its not even that I dont like the show, its just that sitting down for twenty minutes to watch something is taxing for me for some reason.
>Not that the show looks like it's supposed to be even remotely optimistic, given my experiences with the SRW games it's been in.
Generally speaking Fafner is extremely optimistic given the plot. As soul crushing as it is every one of those sacrifices meant something.
So those madmen really did it, a new FMP anime series.
What a time to be alive, truly we believed in hope.
Ayup, Andrei went straight down the chain in my likes when that happened.
IMMORTAL PATRICK MANNEQUIN
WINNER OF 200 MOCK BATTLES
>If I can't post Escaflowne plot spoilers without ten people going after me about it despite it being over 15 years old
Probably because you listed every fucking event in one post out of the blue.
Well, with the most recent one, I expected it to be GaoGaiGar.
It ended up being Gorg instead.
GaogaiGar took on more of a support role this time around, Dividing Driver is too good.
>Well, with the most recent one, I expected it to be GaoGaiGar.
>It ended up being Gorg instead.
GGG has the problem of being unable of countering anything past range 4.
Meanwhile Gorg has range game for days.
Just finished BX. It was fun.
And thank god for that because now I have to do it all over again! That'll teach me to start a game before we know all secret requirements. Missed Manon, Dragon Baby, Great Jerk Satan, and just about everything Dunbine.
Does anybody know if the scenario chart carries over on NG+? I want to know if I can fill it in full.
And no Leonard conspiring with other villains shenanigans and using eva lance
Say whatever you want about Z3 but I highly doubt anime FMP will be better than Z3 FMP except the animation
It's gold day!
What >>13399742 said, but there's more to it than that with regards to why Andrei flips out on his dad so easily.
You know how everyone loved how fatherly Sergei was towards Soma? Yeah, he wasn't like that towards his own son. He was a shitty dad, mostly after Andrei's mom died and Sergei blamed himself. The result was that he became distant and withdrawn at the time Andrei emotionally needed him most, and Andrei never really forgave him for that. There's a fair argument to be made that Sergei is so warm towards Soma precisely because he's trying to make up for his failings with Andrei, but at the same time he's unwilling to actually reach out and fix his relationship with his son. We don't see that Andrei ever met Soma that I recall, but imagine if he did? Seeing your father treat some random girl better than he ever treated you? You'd be absolutely livid. Even if he'd just heard of it, it would put Andrei even further in a mindset to always think the worst of his father.
And then on top of that, Soma fucked off to join Celestial Being, becoming a terrorist. If he then sees him in a situation where with incomplete information it looks like Sergei could be a terrorist as well, well, Andrei's going to believe what it's easy for him to believe.
It's not until much later with the Trans-Am Burst, when Soma and Andrei connect and see Sergei as the other saw him, that both are given the full picture of the kind of person Sergei was. Once they see that, Andrei realizes he'd done wrong killing his father, and Soma realizes she'd done wrong giving herself over to vengeance.
Sorry, must have been all the talk about BX, shameful ignition.
I think part of the reason people hate Andrei is because he 'killed' Marie. Even after the whole situation resolved the Marie side of her personality never resurfaced, not entirely anyway. In the movie she was still in Soma mode.
It seemed more like she'd melded the two sides of her personality more effectively. She might have opted to stick with the name Soma, because it was the one Sergei knew her by, but she was visibly more relaxed, less hotheaded, and comfortable in her relationship with Al. Al had similarly gained much more control over his relationship with Hal by that point, able to stand on his own without giving control over to Hal whenever he needed to do something he didn't really want to.
Eh. They're classmates with similar personalities and interests, that alone is usually enough to hit it off, but they've also got a joint life as robot pilots.
Also one's going to fuck the class rep and the other the homeroom teacher so...
They didn't have a chance to. Hibiki and teach left on their very own spaceship through a crossgate just before the OG end boss destroyed the Z verse permanently on Sumeragi's orders.
>So I guess this ongoing new Fafner is just screwing with everything now? Not that the show looks like it's supposed to be even remotely optimistic, given my experiences with the SRW games it's been in.
Canon even had a bigger part in the OP than Sakura and Kenji so now pretty much everyone is fair game.
And they also rewrote pretty much all of FMP plot to make Hibiki part of it, and the whole volunteer club thing to make all the other teenagers part of it as well.
And how Chidori is the one thanks to who Sousuke and Hibiki are best buds since like the bitch she is at the very start of the series, she didn't want to handle Sousuke the problematic transfer student, and dumped him on Hibiki, etc
>This leads to Shinn to yelling to Kira that he wants to save Stella right before Kira attacks, and Kira says "Oh, okay then"
I wonder why he didn't do it in the first place. I thought they were cooperating in that one arc?
>Say whatever you want about Z3 but I highly doubt anime FMP will be better than Z3 FMP except the animation
You went too far. Z3 FMP was very underwhelming.
>Laevatein launched from the shore so there was no need for the XL-3
>No duel between Weeb captain and Fowler
>Kurz still using M9
>Final battle took place in Tokyo 3 for no reason except to pad out the game so they can finish it in common route
>No Minamikaze/Tomorrow/Sore ga Ai deshou
Because they had to have the mandatory Lalah/Four.
Shame too because I never saw Stella as a love interest but more of a surrogate sister (which given Shinn's complex and how he still lugs his sister's cell with him, makes sense.)
For Z3 it was sousuke who had 70% of the kills.
For OG 2nd I was trying to get Ryusei more kills but when I got back to intermission, Ratsel was fucking sitting at the top of the leader board. Smirking.
It tried to do that thing where the audience has to pick sides, only fucked it up royally. They want to paint Kira and Lacus as paragons, but there's so much arrogance to them (not to mention shady shit) that Fukuda and his wife are ignorant of. Meanwhile, in the beginning Shinn acts as a typical Gundam pilot and we're supposed to think he's misguided. Listen to what he says when he has lunch with Durandal, his beliefs on fighting. Sounds pretty legit when compared to Athrun mumbling about the cycle of revenge. Hell, Kamille said similar things near the end of Zeta.
To be fair, the Borjanons are Zaku REPLICAS. They only look like Zakus on the outside. Internally, they're all new shit.
So his custom Borjanon may only be custom by looks, but it's not inferior.
>shy moe shit
>ok voice actor
>shit character design, including the glasses
>literal slut (normally not a bad thing but I need unreasonable reasons to justify my hate for her)
So is Fa that useful? What do her abilities do?
I thought that given healing is pretty non-existent right now she might be worth using.
Newtype and Repair. Newtype does about what you'd expect, Repair gives you about 1/4 healing to one unit every wave.
Fa also has Trust and I think Hope, which are quite nice. I'd say Shooter Venus A is better because it's more well armored, but it's no stronger and costs 1 more, so it's really up to you.
If you want highest quality and enjoyment you'll have to settle with 0080, the second Ideon movie and then Vifam when it finally debuts in SRW.
Godannar is pretty fun too if you aren't gay and doesn't get offended by tits.
>Recommending Be Invoked without the TV series first
The TV series is great but it isn't of the highest quality like he asked, unlike the movie. Though I admit I was wrong for not mentioning to watch the anime first.
>Please drink responsibly
You can tell whomever made this drinking game is a teetotaler. So much alcohol would put you in a coma instantly, unless you watch only one episode at a time. Then you'd only be dead drunk by the end of it.
I know it is, I'm just not certain if one would be considering it as high quality or something. Then again, I also recommended new Jeeg with it, so I'm one to speak.
Theme songs may be good, but a really high quality series doesn't necessarily go hand in hand with that
Gravion was fun though, first time I've watched a whole show in one sitting in a while
Holy shit. Playing Z3.2 for the first time and stages from 50 and beyond...all these mechas the sizes of planets flying around and not giving a fuck, not to mention you can even play as TTGL. Truly, now I understand the meaning of [热血].
Waiting 12,000 years for translations.
No fuck you Gravion was good.
So for all you cats who have plans for their own SRWs with Eterntiy, what do you plan to do for music?
Do you plan to use already made SRW editions of songs? The actual song itself? Or are you going to take it a step further and make your own rendition of a song?
Considering I'm using stuff that hasn't been in SRW at all before, I'm just gonna use show OSTs for everything to stay consistent. Even if I did use SRW music they've never been all in the same game or even on the same console so it's not like the music would be consistent anyways.
I liked that Spiral Fire barrier
What were some shows that you picked up because of SRW only to be disappointed? Pleasantly surprised?
Nadesico and GGG/ Final were both really, really disappointing to me.
As for the inverse, I picked up Fafner for UX and Gravion after Z and both were much better than I had really expected.
I've actually watched a surprisingly small amount of shows despite playing a ton of SRW.
I did find SKL surprising in that I thought it would have been a lot more grimdark edgy kind of stuff, given its appearance and all, but it felt pretty standard.
Just to let you know, you can use "Skip" immediately for Plunder and Arena battles instead of having to wait for turn 2.
And yes, Excellen has Leona's voice. I think someone said Kyosuke has Ingram's?
Well, whatever gets people watching it. It's a surprisingly good show, after all. It deserves the recognition.
Maybe SRWE will get people to watch The Third.
Oh, they added in Yzak in the last new set, too? Huh.
Still find it weird to find anything in your army before the story says you're near them, but I suppose that's a necessary separation of gameplay and story. Like bringing characters into earlier chapters in OE.
Damned if these constant updates don't make me tempted to play X-Omega after giving it up, though. But restarting again, and being this behind everyone, I know I'd just give it up again.
X-O's a right bastard about giving you omega crystals. I wonder if it'll mellow out later or if it'll stay on the same level of P2W. And the fact is, there's basically no use for Friend Coins at the moment since there aren't that many Rares, and like I said earlier, every gasha mobage forces you to use only the top 2 rarities to get anywhere.
Hey whoa there anon, Gravion was good.
If you wanted to complain of bad OPs in good series, go with Aquarion EVOL or Tobikage or something. SRW Divine Wars, maybe.
Macross 7's a pretty big example. Dancouga. Dougram, maybe, if you're a Lecoque fan. Some people say Gaogaigar, though personally I disagree.
Show OSTs, but I don't have all the songs I want because I don't think some of my series have released OSTs (I recently found the Getter Robo one though, which solves at least one problem I was having!)
>Damned if these constant updates don't make me tempted to play X-Omega after giving it up, though.
A lot of /m/ suffering shows out there
we just got to make sure NO ONE IS SPARED
for bonus points, saving people who LIVED in the original source is a secret
First entries I can think of:
Okay, I haven't even gotten to the gameplay yet and I am already losing my shit
>everyone takes 9,999,999 damage
this is the greatest and dumbest thing I have ever witnessed
This is like one of those crazy fangames
No, I didn't have any name that wasn't predetermined random from the game itself. I gave it a day's worth of play and couldn't really keep at it.
I'll be around looking to see if anything interesting develops in terms of available units, decent illustrations, additional series, or something as shocking as "suddenly she-MC is gyaru."
I liked it from start to finish too.
Most people seem to have this crazy hateboner of MotW stuff, but then they like The Big O which was unabashedly MotW. I never get that.
God Mars? Not really sure there. Zambot's a requirement though. Dunbine, Megazone 23 Part 2, Nadesico PoD, and Shining Heresy are probably good choices as well.
It's not that I hate MoTW stuff, it's just that GGG's cast far exceeds my tolerance level towards obnoxious characters, and it doesn't help that none of the situations are interesting until the ass-end of the series, which even then dips from fine to shit.
It outright abuses the "BUT X ONLY HAS A 0% SUCCESS RATE" to a disgusting degree. Sure, you could say "but it's anime, duh," but it's just so unapologetically abused to the point that any mention of such only leads to furious eye rolling and makes the entire scene the more predicable than a fight scene in He-Man.
Likewise, the show does well to suck Gai and Mamoru's cock at every waking hour. It wouldn't hurt to have someone disagree with them, or for them to be wrong for a change, or something better than "Oh no, we're being beat - let's use the super secret low-success rate tool conveniently designed this morning for such a scenario!" But no, them and their terrible dialogue are pretty much patron saints.
And plot development, in the early and mid show, only happens every six to ten episodes, and the plot developments (character development practically doesn't extend past Fu and Rai's debut episode) are among the most minute.
There's plenty of reasons to dislike GGG outside of "munster of the weak"
Nothing carries over, however kill requirements do since they're all "get people X kills" (at least I think?) and you can get every secret on any route in 1 run due to a complex string of mandatory and non-mandatory requirements on route splits.
Flags and secrets are reset every playthrough; however, if the flag is kill count related, it will still be tripped in future playthroughs because the character has already reached the kill count.
Most secrets have a lot of flags with a handful being mandatory, and it's entirely possible to get every secret in a single playthrough (doing so gets you the secret final boss).
You can take whichever routes you want and it'll still be possible, you'll just have to make sure you hit certain secret flags to make up for the ones you didn't take.
For example, keeping Loni alive has two different set of mandatory conditions depending on whether you take a Gundam route or not. Take it, and you only have to do the flags on that route. Don't, and you have to do the ones on the main stages later in the playthrough.
All the secrets with route-split conditions are similar.
How convenient. Looking at it on akurasu just made me confused and overwhelmed by the sheer number of secret requirements and the amount of exclusive "Mandatory" events.
The list of Mandatory secrets is pretty staggering, yeah, especially with some of the secrets requiring to monitor your steps over half the game. Really, the only secret that gives you a lot of leeway is for the AGE characters, and that's likely because of the large kill count in the later stages that's mandatory.
Still, it's all perfectly doable, and for the routes you do take, it usually shaves off a few flags on some secrets so that if you miss an optional step or two you can still get them. I completely fluked on a few secrets like J I got on my first run, looking at the requirements.
I also feel strangely proud that it was my rudimentary knowledge of moonrune that laid the foundation for the secrets page when the leaked images first hit the scene.
I'll use SRW Edition of the song if it exists and whatever I can find for other series
(but not Vocals because they always feel off to me)
I imagine this is going to make it sound like an audio mess though
>finally get back to playing BX today after taking a lengthy break
>on what I think is the Unicorn finale (has the Neo Zeong)
>decide to use WE ARE ALL HELL to weaken Angelo
>572 health left out of over 50000
Christ almighty, I underestimated the punch that move had. Oh well, EXP fed to the people I wanted to give it to, it was a job well done.
I've been holding off for months now.
Attack on Titan is totally /m/
TTGL is the definitive mecha show
Evangelion is a masterpiece, anyone who doesn't agree didn't understand it
Uhhhhh, there's more but I'm pissing myself off too much to think clearly
I never understood why people like to diss on Valrave that much. Sure it wasn't good, but it's far from being the worst mecha show there is. There are far more terrible shows, but for some reason Valrave is the go to "terrible series".
>Attack on Titan is totally /m/
Attack on Legendary Titan is though.
There's nothing wrong with that opinion Matt. I loved AoTB myself, and I believe that it's the best thing to come out of the 00 line.
Were we ever given lineart for these things? They show up in EXADAMON's strongest attack, and that's it, but they're really cool looking.
Same for those red-clad knights in Uther's animations - would have been nice to see more Insalum grunt variety.
