That's pretty much why Powered Mazinger beats Mazinkaiser too. Powered Mazinger has a free, very strong 1-5 P move and Breast Fire is 20 EN and 1-3, while Mazinkaiser has a 50 EN Fire Blaster at 1 range that isn't absurdly powerful. (Also the MAP is cheaper, which is nice, even if it's not one of the absurd ONE SHOT ONE KILL HEAVEN AND EARTH MAPs like the HTB Cannon is.)
Pretty sure Alpha 1 stops registering damage over 65535.

If anyone was wondering what happened in the FDX novel: everyone died.
The only survivors were the FDX team's robot(think Elma) and Lionel(pilots the Digrid in MK F COE) from the BDX team which helped them in the final battle
They were attacked by a Shura faction called Red Brothers, led by Gredas which pilots the Shura God Zepar(pic related, color is blood red) which is the same class as the Valefor.
The Shuras manage to destroy the FDX team ship and kill every member.

Precure Splash star: nature theme doesn't fit, but being able to let others borrow powers works well for crossover shenanigans. Also, Cure Windy works well with CCS.
What other series work well for this game? Anything with cards or jewels is automatically in. I want about 10 series.

What about the SRWMX protags? Is it the Cerberus / Cerberus Ignite or the Garmraid / Garmraid Blaze?
I think you get a mission with each right at the start of the game, then you can pick whichever one
But Hugo has Hit&Away by default which makes it seem like they're trying to push Cerberus, even though that's useless for Cerberus Ignite anyways.

It ain't exactly a new thing. Aile's always been on the game's box art.
MX though, no clue. You get Cerberus a stage earlier but that's because you can't exactly have both machines at once.
Gato is not good in combat but he makes the best Methuss pilot because he has the almighty Inspiration spirit (+5 will for ALL your units). Always start stages by using Inspiration at least twice as Compact 1 uses the old damage formula where will makes huge differences.
I wonder why they stopped putting originals on the box. Classic did it, all GBA games except A did it, and then no one did anymore. It's weird.

What does Dream do? I only get this from the SRW Wikia (I take it it's not an attendible source).

Fantasy Maiden Wars ended up giving that spirit to Yukari and even with the increased costs it was broken as fuck. Though unlike the actual games it was based on it worked properly.

You'd be lucky if you could cast more than 2 spirits worth a shit most of the time.
Alpha Gaiden has a similar problem still, although most pilots will probably get at least 120 before the end of the game. And certain pilots like the support pilots, and solo Super pilots, can end up with 160+

In BX, would it be a good idea to put Marvel, Burn, and Todd in the Bottunes since I'm only using Sirbine and the Bottunes?
I have much better combos so the Bottune Combo isn't exactly something I need and I just want their bonuses.
Deployment space, I always have the Bottunes since their flight and resupply abilities are extremely useful and they seriously need a damage boost since they do 10 damage to damn near anything and can't take a hit from anything.
It really doesn't.
And to make matters worse, it's confusing due to the silly attempt at making it look pseudo-Germanic. It's obvious how "Raftclans" is supposed to be pronounced. On the other hand, when someone sees "Luftkranz" for the first time, they're likely to assume it's pronounced ルフトクランツ, which is just flat wrong.

If he does, he doesn't need it. I don't think Granteed has any really important pre-movement attacks except it's second strongest attack, Coustwell is all post-movement all the time, and Assault is nowhere near enough to abuse Homing Laser on Bellbrigand.
I guess you could give him a skill part for Hit and Away, but that's a skill part slot not being used to give him more Prevail and Combo.
I'm towards the end of a second playthrough, but I haven't used Touya in Bellbrigand because I'm working towards the Raftclans or Luftkranz or whatever it's called.
Huh, didn't know that. I haven't used Coustwell because it's just not as cool as Bellbrigand blowing up a dozen grunts a turn with Homing Laser or Grandeus being a second Mazinkaiser.
I thought Coustwell didn't have any ranged attacks though.
Third game is where it gets really fun though and it really plays great so you may as well grab it from the torrents that are still alive whilst you're at it. Though only English translation for it is a in progress (almost finished) LP by the guy who created the English patch for the second game. It also has some translations for some of the extra dialogue events they didn't get round to finishing for the patch.
If they bring the SRWJ originals to OG, what will be Touya and Calvina's default mechs?
I'm gonna assume since Calvina was a military pilot, she'll get the Bellzelute while Touya will have the Granteed.

Once they merge route, they find the Coustwell and the third missing powerpuff girl with it and then it becomes a MX deal, with both pilots being able to pilot any of the three machines

SRW F/FF is a weird game in that it does absolutely nothing with G Gundam's plot for 50% of the game, then BAM STAGE 50, and you get 6 G Gundam stages in a row.
I think it's one of the few games that show Domon's Super Mode overloading the Shining Gundam. Domon's sorta on a kamikaze rush for 2 entire stages (with red portrait to match), until his machine completely gives up on him.
I have really high damage standards in SRW and even I think the Botunes are fine at max upgrades. You just need to make sure that you're not super-underlevelled compared to what you're attacking, since Defense goes up at the same rate as the other five stats (3/level). This means, however, unlike Z3, where damage stats go up at about twice the rate of Defense, armor actually works in BX. And with Prevail's armor bonus maxing at Level*10%, high-level bosses have TONS of DR at low HP.

The only reason they should be doing 10 is if you're only using the 1-4, have never touched the pilot Range stat (and fair enough if you haven't), and are targeting things with anti-Range reduction barriers. Use their 1-3 or 1-2, and they will fucking murder things.
It's somewhat hard not OHKOing the average mook in the endgame if they don't support defense, I only ever seem to do it with the absolute weakest of attacks, like Skurtz's 1-7.

I'm only using Sirbine and Bottunes due to deployment issues, I'm already cycling my second stringers without having to bench more units as they come in and the Bottunes need the boost to their meager finisher damage and make up for their crappy pilots since I effectively benched the other good pilots otherwise.
ReGZ and Zeta are your best MSes. Amuro, Kamille, Judau, the MC, and their lover (I think?) are the only good NTs. I think Roux might be halfway-decent, though. Dancougar takes a while to combine but once it does it's pretty boss. Supers can't hit shit. Domon needs a Minovsky Craft. Boss item drops are occasionally-random. Bilvine is your best friend. Evas are tanky, but their damage is kind of shitty since none of them have or get finishers. Check to see which bosses retreat when the enemy count gets low-enough so you can focus on killing them for their items.
Above all, cross your fingers and pray the RNG doesn't shit on your face too hard.
I picked who I wanted on my final team sometime in the middle of the game and ditched everyone else accordingly.
Burn comes with the Zwauth, so you don't need to worry about funding an extra Botune.

His most expensive move is 10 EN. It's a constant on the three AGE grunts.
Though he does grow a barrier later and given his evasion problems (plus he's got BX's bullshit Invincible), he needs it.
They aren't cheap enough when he's using nothing but Obright special on everything and Dods Rifle only has 10 ammo.
There's also his hilariously useful Barrier if you use his Invincible Spirit.
Not like he needed it with all the stat boosts though.
I like having Gorg flying and SKL is a Mazinger with no EN Regen like Shin and it sorely needs flight until it Wing Crosses.
With the way partner's terrains work in BX, if you want flight for movement purposes really only one unit in the pair needs to be able to fly, since their movement will be what counts for going over obstructing terrain when they're in front.

Which should be on turn 2 and before any enemy comes near it. Plus the Botunes don't match SKL's ranges before Wing Cross, they're 1-4/1-3/1-2 while SKL is 1-5/2-6/1-3/1-2. Gorg's even worse, with all those long range moves that Botune won't be able to do anything with. (you could pair it with an Aesti)

Huh? Mostly they just dogpile the tankiest thing in range. And either way at least one enemy out of every pair WILL die on the counterattack even with only 5 weapon upgrades on everyone.

Restricting someone to move with the most bullshit unit in a game full of bullshit units is really not that much of a problem, also Aestis are surprisingly self-reliant on this one (Instead of being horribly nerfed outside of the Nadesico's range, they're just normal units outside it)

Dude have you even tried using BX's Nadesico? If it wasn't for Gravity Blast MAP being reduced to a single straight line it'd be better than J's Nadesico in all respects. Thanks to size modifiers and BX being Super Manlet Wars, most of the battleships can break 10k damage with no upgrades. All the ships really need to shine are Chain Attack maxed out and Continuous Action since those only work for solo units anyways.

Honestly, I think it's pretty dumb to make King J-Der a secret. We all know they don't die, thanks to FINAL, so making them teleport away for the entire game - knowing what we know - is just sorta lackluster and anticlimactic.
Now, if we were to, I dunno, make him warp in on another stage after the fact, that'd be a different story.
I think I fucked up the optional requirements, I did the last two but I can't seem to remember if I did any of the first three. (I was pretty sure I did the third one, but it was before secrets were out for sure so I didn't pay attention).

Calvina will be a test pilot for Itsurugi and be semi villainous for the first part of the game with Bellezute. Al Van will show up at the midpoint and she'll join the good guys. Touya will be schoolmates with Kouta. He'll meet the Powerpuffs, who will have Dracodeus and Coustwell as possible rides. Secrets will be Al Van as a sub pilot for Calvina and a Raftclans for Touya. Pilot swapping will be possible.
It makes no sense for Al-Van and Fu-Lu to be sub-pilots. That's what the Powerpuff Girls are for.
Al-Van and Fu-Lu should, instead, get upgraded versions of their respective Raftclans.

By the way, as an aside. While fighting the Zonuda in BX, DON'T USE SUPPORT ATTACKS ON YOUR NON-BATTLESHIP UNITS. They'll get taken off the map, and part of your damage output will disappear.
(also it's fun fighting that one girl enemy and seeing her MAP aim for and miss literally my entire squad, except the battleships which it does no damage worth mentioning to)
Didn't get a chance to, the only combos I have available on the map at any given time are Double Gekigan Flare (and the two members are in the same squad) and the Mazinger and AGE combos, and Mazinkaiser SKL/AGE-2 got sublimated before I knew it was time for that shit to begin.
I didn't get Manon, I don't field any Dunbine units except Bilbine and a Botune, don't field any Aestis but Akito and Akatsuki and I didn't get the other Gekigangars, didn't get the AGE people, don't field Formation MM Jenius, didn't get Gen/Gouryujin, and... I think that's all of them?

But for most of the game, Bilbine didn't even have flight ranks - hell, Shou STILL ISN'T A FUCKING ACE (guy has issues with actually killing things, and when nothing targets you already, that's an issue) - and I won't deny that Sirbine would be better in this situation.

Yeah, that twin stuck around for me since UX. If you switch to Sirbine the sky ranks are gonna be gone so I recommend you have an idea on what you're gonna use Wingle with in later runs if you're switching to Sirbine.
Well, Run 3 was going to have no Shou or Bilbine/Sirbine at all, so Wingle was going to need a new partner anyway eventually.
Not like it matters unfortunately, as far as I know last stage has Bruvictor as a solo event unit so Wingle's going to get paired with Bakuryu-Oh and shoved in a battleship after it combines.
No idea what I'm doing next run though. Shou in Sirbine is going to happen, but I dunno what Wingle will go with - most likely a Valk.

I was actually surprisingly close to getting Shanalua, though. If I had used her for a stage more, she would probably have breached the necessary kills, and I deployed her enough just because of the sheer number of early stages where you can deploy everyone. And of course I WANTED J, but...

You don't need to conserve upgrades THAT much, I was just saying don't burn money on the RX-78-2 and the Methuss because there's no way in hell you're keeping them to the endgame. Save it for when you get Daimos, Raideen, Dancouga, the GP-02, and Getter, since those will last.
But do keep enough money to fully max out one MAP finisher, it's totally worth it.
