I present this as king of Bootleg Hell
These people have no shame.
Not sure, but that wouldn't be all that surprising.
It's not as catchy as XABUNGURU though.
Behold, the ultimate in knockoff toys.
>Porn and love are non-canon due to my personal life
I thought this kind of stuff was exclusive to Russia because back in 90s we had everything from China. I had lots of fun with reading these packages while searching for quality toys when I was a kid.
You Russian folks sure are creative up there.
Like, you definitely need talent to make stuff like this.
looks like some Five Frights at Dennys toys with a Jigsaw thrown in for good measure
given the subject matter it might be an ironic fake bootleg like that bagged Robert Cop
lots of places get bootlegs
I got this at a mainstream TRU in the USA back around the turn of the century
Isn't "Ding Dong" Doraemon's name in China?
What If... Captain Ultra joined Zeon and got a custom Zaku?
Huck needs an aquatic MS
I come across bootleg gundams occasionally at this store called Roses.
Here's yellow freedom.
Giant sinanju with unicorns head swapped onto it.
And exia with rifle. There's black impulse but someone else already posted it.
Oh, and I see the occasional sentai/power rangers as well.
Gundam Bro is now my favorite Gundam.
Will Setsuna ever meet him?
Still can't beat Elfen Lied box with "Favorite Solzhenitsyn's anime" on it.
>for a mere $12 I could have my very own Transformable Tomas
I kind of want one, just for the ebin 4chan bragging rights.
Actually, no. Doraemon's name in China is Duola-A-meng (哆啦A梦).
Fun fact: "Shandianzhanshi" means "Lightning Warrior" (zhanshi is "senshi" in Chinese).
The "meng" at the end is the character for "dream." They use it cause it sounds close enough to "mon."
For example, Gundam in Chinese is written with the characters "Steel Bullet," because they're pronounced "Gangdan"
So the crabsticks fucked up by translating it by the meaning instead of the sound.
>So the crabsticks fucked up by translating it by the meaning instead of the sound.
yeah, that's a regular trick crabstick does for names, like "hello I am helmet"
I don't know if they actually used this dub for the "Johnny Destiny" version, but here's the Joseph Lai English dub, under the title "Captain of Cosmos":
One of my favorite Sentai knockoffs is the one that just says "Force"
Korean kids would have never seen the originals at that point so they would loot character and mecha designs from any anime they could get their hands on. There's this other Korean anime (I think it was Diatron 5?) where they use Scopedog's design for an R2-D2 sized "camera robot" that shows up in like one scene.
There's this magazine for children here in Brazil that comes with a small cheap-plastic toy, they get new collections each year or some shit but once they had one about transforming totems or whatever, they had bases and they were copies of Hibiki's animal discs, dunno how many are original, if any, because i've never watched Hibiki.
Couldn't find a great picture of it, though.
