>Anon has been in Equestria for quite a number of years at this point. >He has absolutely no idea who or what Papyrus is - except that he's a living, magical skeleton. >Papyrus then introduces his brother, sans. >Anon would talk with the guy if only he didn't feel like he was being constantly judged. >The entire undergound of monsters make their way through to Equestria shortly after.
...gonna be a tease here. We're going to assume ANOTHER timeline reset...this time. beyond proportions.Sending Papyrus and most possibly Sans into horseland....sad I can't change the font. it'd be perfect.also, don't expect an elaborate beginning. shit just happens.
>on another round of human hunting, Papyrus finds himself SOMEHOW lost in the forest. Only somehow because it normally doesn't happen. He's traversed the forest enough times in his endeavors that'd he'd never ever get lost. "Sans! Sans! ogh..How could this happen?! How does I, the great Papyrus, future royal guard, somehow misplace an ENTIRE TOWN?! ....I hope nobody gets mad at me." >In fact, not only did Papyrus seemed to have misplaced the town of Snowden. The forest is unfamiliar aswell... "I also don't remember my radiance being so majestic as to be able to melt the snow. Nyeh Heh Heh, Obviously this means that my human hunting aura is at max capability. There must be a human near by! Agh..But Sans isn't here to help. That lazy bones..." >As Papyrus continued his search, he began to frown with a rather sad thought. "...I hope I didn't misplace him too."
>>25337144 Yeah, and I quit after that. If that's how they'll handle things, then that's really retarded. I don't care if that's the first boss, nothing should be that simple. Hell, their attacks even stopped working. It couldn't be any more uninteresting, and it completely turned me off for the rest of it. Even if it is the first boss and is supposed to be easy, this is something even someone braindead could accomplish.
>>25337193 >Hell, their attacks even stopped working She deliberately misses because she doesn't want to kill you, anon. How can anyone be this braindead? every single boss has a different way to be beaten without being killed
>>25337317 >>25337335 >>25337338 If you go through the path to hotland and get the call from papyrus, then backtrack before reaching hotland, papyrus will comment on how early you got there, even before undyne.
>>25337353 It's to the left of the Blooks, in waterfall
>>25337222 >>25337223 >>25337224 >>25337234 >>25337246 Holy shit, don't get so triggered because I judged the rest of the game based on the first boss. I understand how it's supposed to be easy, every game is like that, but at least with every other game the first boss is still somewhat entertaining, despite being simple. I'm not just mashing the same button over and over waiting for the enemy to finally give up. That's retarded. And for me that set the mood for the rest of the game, and didn't seem like something that was worth my time if the mechanics were just going to be built off something so simplistic. No matter how "complex" it gets later on.
So thanks but no thanks, the game still seems incredibly overrated. And now that really feels enforced due to all your reactions. It's people like you which lead me to conclude it's overrated garbage in the first place, without an actual attempt to convince me that it's worth continuing for reasons A B and C. You just want to get all pissed off because someone didn't like it.
>>25337489 If you can't relax and enjoy the game for what it is, then it's not the right game for you. Simple as that. It's heavily story based anyway, the fights aren't the main focus. Unless you want to have a bad time
>>25337489 Hey bro, if you don't like it, you don't like it. It makes you seem like sort of a tryhard when you come into a thread about something just to complain about it, and then get bootyblasted when you get dunked on.
Regardless of whether the game is actually good, you're doing yourself no favors by coming here, especially since it seems like you weren't exactly looking to have an open discussion about the games faults. Rather, you just seem to want to hate it.
tl;dr fuck off, why are you in a thread based around a game you don't like?
>>25337489 you do realize i just destroyed this point with my ninja gaiden point.
>I'm not just mashing the same button over and over waiting for the enemy to finally give up. That's retarded.
that's exactly the first boss of Ninja gaiden.
I'm not pissed off that you didn't like it. I'm annoyed with the fact that your reasoning would make you miss out on a ton of games, especially retro games. because the first boss usually stands there and lets you hit them. Hell, by your reasoning. Yoshi's Island is a shitty game too.
>>25337489 >Triggered Nigga are you serious? The only one triggered is you for the fact that you are getting butt hurt over a game you haven't even truly experienced. You're acting like you're not in a fandom where people are frowned upon for enjoying something because you actually spent time into it and didn't just see the first episode and went "that's gay as fuck" and dropped it, yet you did exactly that with Undertale. "Oh boo hoo I don't care how complex it gets later on, first boss was sparing so that must mean the rest of the game is shit, better not even bother playing it, amirite guys???"
You truly are the scum of the earth people like to point out because you didn't even bother going through it before judging it. You're the kid that ate his burgers plain with just the meat and buns because you never wanted to risk tasting it with pickles, condiments and all. Get off your high top and stop shitting on something you don't know anything about, jeez, if you keep this up you'll start throwing the pay gap thing at us and spouting about how upset you are that people called you fat.
>>25337489 I was genuinely trying to decipher what you said and as for a retort The game does get more complex with dodging attacks, but to be fair most of the time finding the way to defeat the enemy without killing them does become quit obvious except for a select few enemies, also this game is heavily story based so if thats not your thing than go ahead and leave. but if you do want to play it, play it now before the Autistic fan base reaches critical Autism
>>25337602 Do you want the truth? Because people have a need to make themselves look better than another person to justify their own insecurities. The baiter comes to piss off people and derail threads because they're insecure about something. The baitees come and take the bait because it's an oppurtunity to "get back" at an anon, due to their own insecurities needing to look better and right. The baiter replies to get the final word. Then everyone's calling each other names because they've been called names and it's all an endless cycle because we're all incredibly depressed and want to feel like we "showed someone" and can go home happy, rather than everyone going about their daily bussiness without care.
>>25335399 >He saved the world >Then knowingly and willingly erased their memories just so he could see what would happen if he slaughtered them. I'd call you a monster, but that would give monsters a bad name.
>8 responses to clear attempts, whether or not bait, to piss off people in the thread >People still replying What? I'm even inclined to believe there might be some samefagging, because I see no way at least 8 people saw the need to reply to that kind of stuff.
I want to fuck the goat mom and the stingy spider.
But seriously my favorite thing about the game is to say I killed the bosses and see how many people get ridiculously upset because it's "irreversible." I know someone who didn't want to play the game again after getting the pacifist ending so it'd stay a happy ending.
>>25336872 >not giving credit where credit is due please tell me youre not one of those fags who hates something based solely on the fact that its popular. theres a lot of people who hate ponies because of that.
point is theres always a reason, and this game was fantastic.
>>25338338 no i mean seriously, that game has literally no story you can't even aim propely,if i have to be honest i think that nobody actually like doom, they only like it because it's an "historycal game"
>>25338352 It has a story... A very barebones one, but it has one. Also people like it because it doesn't shove you down a corridor and lets you explore freely. And you can aim just fine. But yeah... If you only ever played CoD or Battlefield or other modern "FPS" I can understand if it slightly overstrains you.
>>25338383 >Fluttershy: Either Toriel in which she just misses after you take a certain amount of damage, or Napstablook >Rainbow Dash A bunch of easy to dodge attacks that just take up huge portions of the screen >Rarity A bunch of easy to dodge attacks made to just look pretty >Asslejack literally moldsmal tier background character >Pinkie Poe Like Rainbow, except hard >Twilight Some shit that just requires you to hold out until something else happens
>>25340432 Nah, it's just the current ">muh story muh lore" game. Essentially, it's just the new Five Nights at Freddy's. The fanbase will only go increasingly autistic. And judging by the thread, it's already past the point of no return.
>>25340550 cyoa, so it'll be up to the readers to decide. I already have both endings mostly planned out. Same with all the characters you'll fight. Only thing is I don't know who will fill the role of Flowey.Pinkie's already taken.
>>25340550 Yeah, and I'd attribute another reason people hate TFH is because of how it's continuously posted here, and many feel it doesn't belong. Like I said, that's what really caused people to hate MLP the most. Same with Steven Universe. And while it's probably not on the same scale, it's definitely starting with Undertale too.
I mean seriously, look at the thread. It's full of shitposts, and people seriously responding to shitposts. And mostly talk about the game, it's barely even about the OP. And hell, that's the issue with most "What if ____ was in Equestria?" but at least most of the time those threads die off soon, but this one doesn't look like it will.
>>25340555 But look what it causes. And it's a big turnoff for other people to actually enjoy it, because it creates a bias. Rather than "Oh hey I'll try it" it's just an image of how people act about it. If you really care about it, it's better to talk about it in a place where it belongs.
>But don't let other people manipulate what you think of something Really easier said than done. First impressions are always big. If you want other people to genuinely like it, let the thread die and talk about it where it belongs. That's my honest advice. It's better for everyone. People don't feel the need to shitpost, and as a result people are less likely to respond to shitposts. And everyone ends up all around happy.
The key though is that I don't want the MLP characters to exactly mirror the Undertale characters. Same sort of approach, but each unique, so it'll be fresh for the readers.
>>25340582 I was thinking something along those lines. Lots of shadow characters to use. I was leaning more towards Nightmare Moon, or just the Nightmare part of it. Mostly weak, but willing to trick you to grab power and cause havoc.
>>25340675 Like I said each character doesn't necessarily represent their "equivalents" so the structure will be different. In meaning, the Papyrus stand-in doesn't necessarily have to be related to Pinkie. The main Undertale characters will be represented somewhat by the Mane 6 and Princesses, however. But beyond that, I'm not willing to spoil in the case I do, most likely go through with this.... when I come back from work.
>>25338383 I figure Pinkie would probably be Papyrus' equivalent and Maud would be Sans' equivalent. Pinkie attacks with party supplies and just has to ramble on for a bit. Flirting is optional but highly recommended. Not gonna lie I cried a little thinking about the Genocide Route version of that. Maud would attack using rocks. Fluttershy would probably be Toriel's equivalent, only with upgraded versions of Whimsun's attacks. Rainbow Dash would be Undyne's equivalent and would suplex boulders just because she can. Twilight would be Alphys and Rarity would be Mettaton. Celestia would be Asgore's equivalent. Discord would be Flowey. Applejack can be Napstablook's equivalent I suppose. She started crying on the outside a long time ago in this timeline.
>Pinkie had been entertaining that human for a while now. >You're sure your sister is fine. "She has to be, he seemed nice enough to put up with her..." >You looked out the window. "Though I suppose it has been a while now..." >You grabbed your frock and draped it over yourself. "I'm sure she's fine, they're just talking, right?" >You made your way to the spot Pinkie said she was going to throw him a party. "After all, nopony's ever wanted to hurt Pinkie Pie." >A sense of unease washed over you. >Your hoofsteps quickened. "Still, maybe I should've tagged along, just to be safe." >You made it to the hills that Pinkie said she'd be at. "She's fine, she has to be..." >You spotted the rock candy necklace you gave her last week. >She hadn't taken the thing off since. "No, no no no. Pinkie this isn't funny, come on Pinkie." >You spotted some rustling in the bushes to your left. "Very funny Pinkie, come on out." >A rabbit hopped out of the bush. >Panic started to creep into your voice. "Pinkie!" >No response. "Pinkie if you died I swear I will kill you!" >You tore the hills apart looking for her. "PINKIE! Come on this isn't a funny prank!" >The human, he couldn't have... >Tears stained your face. "PIIIIINKIE!" >You stomped the ground. "Oh Luna... Pinkie! Don't do this to me!" >You started sobbing. "Please... don't be... dead." >You bit your lip. >You found her bleeding out. >"H-hey Maudie, guess I really messed this up, huh?" "Pinkie!" >She wasn't going to make it. >"I still love you... don't be... too hard on him, okay?" >She closed her eyes for the last time. "That... that dirty, sister-killing human!" >Your sadness turned into anger. "I swear, I'm going to... I'm going to..." >You wiped the tears from your eyes. "He's gonna have ONE. BAD. DAY!" >You put the necklace on and started marching towards the human's destination. "You were the best sister I ever had Pinkie... I'm going to miss you."
>>25343799 You really shouldn't, esspecially since they finally got their happy end. Are you really going to take away all their happiness, and then their lives, for your own curiosity? Though I guess nothing I say matters, chances that you'll just do it anyway. When you do reset, be ready for a bad time
