>The reason why this album isn't popular is so we can try to ignore the fact that it basically destroys every album its put up against in terms of songwriting, production, emotion, atmosphere, tone, creativity, originality, intrigue, and detail, rendering every other album pointless.
dicuss 2016! post ya charts! rec and murder one another! patrician or pleb?! YOU DECIDE!
What are the actual demographics for the Kayne West fanbase? How many of them are rich white kids that are objectively unable to relate to most of the songs he writes?
HOW DOES IT FEEL
3x3/4x4/5x5/6x6/69x69/weed numberxweed number, etc last week
Is this the greatest album of all time?
have i been forgotten...?
oh yeah, i've been forgotten
You can only save 3 songs from your favorite album, what are they?
>if the album has 3 songs or less, go to heck
What's the best rock album to come out of the 21st century?
What does /mu/ think of Squarepusher?
Seven is the best song ever
>6'5", thick beard, long hair, top fashion, turbochad
>makes garbage inoffensive surface-indie and gets pushed forward for being attractive
>constantly 'xD so overly verbose and random" meme shit like this
father john misty was a mistake
Literally Tumblr: The Image
90% of Tumblr wishes they were Lana Del Rey (le sadgirl, tortured pretty soul) being held by a Father John Misty (tall as fuck, hot, fake-cultured/smart, "deep" artist)
Link related. Wondering who makes actually good feel music?
>tfw gonna die a virgin
What should i listen to
Artists who have never made a good song
Bob Dylan appreciation thread:
Post your favourite lyrics here anons. I'll start:
And take me disappearing through the smoke rings of my mind
Down the foggy ruins of time
Far past the frozen leaves
The haunted frightened trees
Out to the windy bench
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow
Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky
With one hand waving free
Silhouetted by the sea
Circled by the circus sands
With all memory of fate
Driven deep beneath the waves
Let me forget about today until tomorrow
"Darkness at the break of noon
Shadows even the silver spoon
The handmade blade, the child's balloon
Eclipses both the sun and moon
To understand you know too soon
There is no sense in trying."
"Hot chili peppers in the blistering sun
Dust on my face and my cape
Me and Magdalena on the run
I think this time we shall escape
Sold my guitar to the baker's son
For a few crumbs and a place to hide
But I can get another one
And I'll play for Magdalena as we ride"
This is insanely evocative and puts the listener right in the heart of Mexico.
"Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son?
And where have you been my darling young one?
I've stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains
I've walked and I've crawled on six crooked highways
I've stepped in the middle of seven sad forests
I've been out in front of a dozen dead oceans
I've been ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard
And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, and it's a hard
It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall."
I really enjoyed this. I'm not by any means an Animal Collective fan. The only other album I've listened to was MPP. This caught me by surprise though. I thought it was a very enjoyable, psych pop record with plenty of memorable tracks.
Well that's why I made this thread. Maybe I'm reaching, but could people who were already fans of Animal Collective just have been expecting a lot more perhaps. This is coming from someone who's never really listened to them at length. I've only heard MPP a few times too.
Is it weird to go to a concert alone? There's a show I want to go see but I planned on heading there on my own, but I'm just thinking wouldn't that be awkward?
Isn't it just boring to go to a concert alone? One of the major pros of going out to a concert is you get to share the experience with others; if you're going alone isn't it just the same as listening off your computer?
not really. shows are a great place to meet new people
no. the atmosphere makes it a lot more fun if its a band thats good live. ive been to lots of folk punk shows with singing crowds, crowd surfing etc. a lot of fun, i always have a smile plastered on my face
What exactly is his endgame?
What's good about this? I don't see how is it innovative or even special
i love it, also 10/10 cover
I'm a useless pothead bum slacker with depression residing in LA who listens to Mac Demarco, Ween, and Ariel Pink all day
looks like you answered your own question
just fyi, those bands are immediate red flags for the kind of person you're describing so if you want your life to improve don't mention them when you meet new people
>tfw I just started The Empyrion for the first time
Post your personal 10/10
better than ITAOTS imho
>artist is too obscure to find
>Yup, that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up here.
Does this guy solo stuff is worth to listen to? I never liked sonic youth too much and today I found a free jazz top 10 list he made and he has very good taste, and I know he likes captain beefheart and stuff like that, but does he have ever done something that sound like that?
go for pic related
best sonic youth guy
his solo albums like Trees Outside the Academy and The Best Day are rather similar to Sonic Youth, so probably not worth it for you
if you liked his free jazz top 10, the noise/free things Moore has been involved in, particularly with Mats Gustafsson (who mostly plays live electronics instead of sax with Morre), are worth a shot. try:
Play Some Fucking Stooges (with Mats Gustafsson)
Cuts of Guilt, Cuts Deeper with Mats Gustafsson, Merzbow and Balázs Pándi

My power went out and now everything is dark. What should I listen to?
