Do you fucking get it /mu/?
Which is the best song and why is it JUST?
What's your most played song this week?
>send friend Faust
>he's still silent after 10 mins
did i fuck up
Faust literally isn't good. You have to listen to like music all day, all the actual good classic acts, so that you get so numb that you have to listen to complete bullshit for 30 minutes for it to actually stimulate you.
Faust literally isn't good. 95% of people will tell you it's shit. The 5% are so overstimulated, that they forget actual good bands like Pink Floyd, Fleetfood Mac, Led Zeppelin because they forgot what actual bands sound like.
I'm pretty sure they were pedos
HEY did u guys like my album?
Essential Jewish Music?
Does a better emo-album exist?
This is my favorite emo album, and it's pleasantly surprising to see someone else feels the same way. It's sorta midwest emo, but there's no childhood nostalgia or childishness, and the instrumentation is more post-hardcore/punk than twinkly. The songs are powerfully written and the subject matter is miles ahead of most of their contemporaries, tackling topics like isolation and alcoholism. Blair Shehan is an undeniably charismatic frontman and songwriter, and they're a great contemporary of bands like SDRE and Jawbreaker. Definitely one of the best emo albums...

these two are good
I'm sure that if you were to sample portions of the population who like various types of music, you'd find that there's a difference in intelligence between people who like certain types of music. This should be undeniable proof that some music is well designed and suitable for intelligent people, while other music appeals to less intelligent people, but there's always going to be the people who say that music is subjective. That's simply not true, some music really does appeal to a far less intelligent audience.
Music beeing subjective and a statistical shift in music genres/artists appeal relating to different levels of intelligence (as in recorded through IQ tests) is not exclusive you dumb idiot cunt.
Also sauce on pic.
Ayy fampai help a nigga out, it is porn the one thing that keeps everything together. We can bicker and argue and hate each other but porn is the reason why this community is still going strong.
Also I am pretty sure you wanted to start a bait thread, if you actually intended to have an honest and open discussion I am legitimately sorry.
What's his endgame?
Are there any famous artists that never do live concerts?
Essential "classic" sounding neofolk artists:
Death in June
woodsy sounding neofolk artists:
agalloch (the white and the mantle are great for their folky songs)
Fire & Ice
Of the Wand and the Moon
haven't found any good stuff this year. and with agalloch split up, there will be no more folky songs from them
>album ends with the artist saying bye bye
>psst, hey kid wanna see a trick?
>*does the same chord over and over for 2 and a half minutes*
>*invents blues and ruins music completely because music become just a repeating clusterfuck*
No surprise he says that he was possessed by the devil because only the devil can make something so evil.
Can someone explain why people like his voice?
ITT: Essential circus music
I don't get why this album is so praised.
Can you explain in few words why is it so good?
I thought it was boring my first couple listens but it's grown into one of my favorite albums. It's a very simple, but powerful album. Great guitar work and melodies.
It's definitely not pop rock.
I wouldn't say it's a happy or upbeat record. It's more of a bittersweet feel to it. Although I never quite understood what the lyrics were talking about.
Vektroid releases three new albums on bandcamp:
ITT: we turn black and white album covers into colored album covers using http://demos.algorithmia.com/colorize-photos/
this is shit. all it does is make shit sepia tone with some purple.
Does /mu/ like the modern lovers?
Also their debut album cover looks like it could be on a t-shirt.
I'm sure there are t-shirts w/this design out there somewhere. This is a great album. Even Johnny Rotten was a fan. They covered Road Runner and who doesn't like Ice Cream Man or Pablo Picasso?
What does he listen to?
rate, rec, guess things, call each other plebs etc
Big Star - #1 Record
Supertramp - Breakfast In America
The Woman That Found Her Groove
The Buried Sea in the Whiteness of Eyes
How the fuck do you go from this...
Is this a good song? Two guys I know told me to listen to this shit and it makes me want to kill myself.
What are the most depressing albums of all time?
it's got a range of emotions, but this is a good one
also, Told Slant - Still Water
Albums that are timeless and don't really evoke a "scene" of any kind. This album, for instance, doesn't scream of any obvious influences to me at all. It's acoustic guitar music, and yet I wouldn't say it has a general "folk" sound to it like a lot of other music where this is the chief instrument. It just sounds like a dude who wrote some songs. And it's maybe one of the things I like best about it.
Have you gotten this vibe before? From what album(s)?
Hear me out before you spout your tips fedora or le gentleman memes. When I listen to classical/ambient/avant-garde/jazz I can focus on them completely and reflect on what I've listened to meanwhile with rock and dance music is all about energy, and immature emotions(feeling cool(in teenager type of way) aggressiveness etc) which makes music another mindless consumerist medium.
Do you think that music that elicits emotions is bad? That makes no sense. Music is literally best when it elicits the strongest emotions from you. That's the goal of all art, really. To dismiss all rock music as catering to shallow/immature emotions is absurd.
Ambient music in particular is for creating somber, quiet atmospheres and bring about depressive, contemplative emotions in the listener. I can name you 30 rock/pop albums that seek to elicit those same emotions and feelings.
ITT: absurdly catchy songs
