Is anyone on /mu/ married? What was your wedding song?
Robert Christgau says that In the Court of the Crimson King
"In the Court of the Crimson King [Atlantic, 1969]
The plus is because Peter Townshend likes it. This can also be said of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. Beware the forthcoming hype--this is ersatz shit. D+
In the Wake of Poseidon [Atlantic, 1970]"
what do you think /mu/
How has this not caught on with normalfags? It ticks all the boxes
>Uplifting summer sound
>simple 4/4 grooves
>squeaky clean, almost plastic sounding production on some of the tracks (like Subways)

AND THERE'S NOTHING ARONG WITH ME-
THIS IS HOW I'M 'SPOSED TO BEEEEE
oh god I remember I used to love that song so fucking much. I was 16 and so fucking edgy and I thought I was JImmy. The song was the perfect length because the drive to school was the song's length and I remember playing it in the car all the time whilst my younger bro called me edgy....
good times famalam. Still love the helloutta the record though

looking for (minimalistic) reggae filled with dread, there must be more!
Has he overtaken Mac Demarco as top goofball?
FJM is just becoming a goofball for the rich "mature" hipsters who buy that hipster soap thats like $100
so no he's much worse. mac promotes buying cheap clothing and being nice to your fellow human beings. FJM promotes narcissism but it's only funny when he says it not you
In general I've tried to get into his music so many times because it's always recommended to me. I can't get through his songs - they're boring on every level. Am I missing something? He just looks douchey overall as well.
>Album covers that don't have the name of the album on it anywhere
>album cover is the band's mascot/logo
pretentious, cringy, tl;dr or just plain pleb reviews -- post em
get ready niggers I have a good one for you
'Guilty of Being White' has some of the stupidest lyrics and employs the same 'hey other white people fucked up not me' mentality that shows white ignorance by displacing and externalizing racism always on someone/somewhere else. It also represents the type of self-defensiveness people whip out when they think they're being personally attacked, instead of recognizing white supremacy as a system of thought + behavior pattern and an institutional reality which can - and does - reside in people regardless of race, even though it's quite clearly endorsed...

I remember literally writhing on the floor and crying about some skinny girl I knew, on the first time that Children of God passed through my being. Not my proudest moment, especially since those were in teenspittin' days...
I cursed this album when I first heard it, probably partially out of the aforementioned circumstance that made me hate everything around me that moved or grazed me even slightly (fuck you you fucking carpet oh my god why are you a carpet you fucking c-), but also because...

I never got into CAN before, I'm loving this though.
>Very TVU inspired
>technically it's proto-punk but sounds more like post-punk
why didn't you tell me CAN could be this good?
is this the first post-rock album? or is it AHM?
how do we fill it?
Was he really a fascist?
What does she listen to?
Album of the decade. Hands down.
Used to think Taylor Swift was a great selfless role model but now that I think about it she's just as vapid, narcissistic and self-centered as the rest of them.
Who's with me?
Are you friends with people who listen to Type 0 unironically?
Considering pretty much everyone has heard film music and singer/songwriter, yes.
I mean "singer/songwriter" covers a wide variety of genres. The tiers dont actually mean anything, hampus himself has no reasoning for them.
Were the Beatles talented?
yes they were, but personally find their stuff mediocre, with an exception here and there (THEY DISCOVERED THE COUNTRY OF INDIA BEFORE ANYONE ELSE AMIRITE) but on the whole if someone told me we were going to listen to beatles music in the car ride for the next two hours i would be really fucking upset about that
>just burned bridge with my only friend because I've been in a shitty mood ever since my gf left
music for this feeling
Depressing Artists, Albums etc. thread?
Does this count? Beartooth - Disgusting
It's probably the worst case of Dave Mustaine's penis-envy towards Metallica in his entire career. I'd take 'So Far, So Good... So What?' over this overhyped, overindulged turd.
Every year I get more annoyed by the people who say this is metal perfection. However, it's still a great album.
I also like to place My Creation before the closing track, it's a really epic buildup.
This is "technical thrash," most thrash doesn't indulge so much in the guitar solos. U might like Sepultura instead
Can we all agree that Edith>Alice
Yeah i'm hyped. Probably go see them live
