Is there a /mu/ secret santa program? If there isn't one I'll try to set something up.
not a single one of these threads in the catalog
now, about pic related, I'm 2.5 years deep into mu/RYM/as.fm and I'd say the whole thing is still pretty pleb-y. Any advice (recs) on patricianing my top onehundred?
Can't really think of anything to rec
can't really think of your taste as shit, I'll take your whole chart as recs, since I've delved shallowly into noise, industrial, EAI and have been wanting more
Post your gear /mu/
Do you guys think that some tracks from this would make a nice suite? I'm debating whether to do a chamber arrangement of excerpts from the soundtrack for 3-5 instruments.
ITT: Albums that changed your life.
>yfw you realize Kanye is almost 40 fucking years old

What do you say when arguing with a metalhead or dadrocker about modern music?
g'day mu! where can a guy with an older car get some cassettes? when did they stop making albums on cassettes?
I feel pretty enthusiastic about music again now that Bowie has rebooted it. How about you? :3c
Father into your hands
Why have you forsaken me?
In your eyes forsaken me
In your thoughts forsaken me
In your heart forsaken me
what's the worst genre and why, /mu/?
Drummer here, looking to improve, but there's such an information black hole I don't honestly know where to start. Been playing for about a year, started out with no guidance, shit gear, and a want to go fast. Now I'm fast but I still have shit gear and no guidance.
I can lay down a rhythm and "jam" but on a technical level I'm trash.
I don't know more than 5 rudiments, can't keep time, my gear is shit, I'm discouraged, and I don't know where to start.
I have reach, but no grasp.
At least buy a book that contains fundamentals if you're not going to get any lessons. There should be plenty of lessons on youtube. I'm primarily a bass player, find a beginner bass player to jam with.
PROTIP: if you can't play slow, you can't play fast. Get a metronome.
