you like this weird rap song?
it's me anon the other fool on this weird rap song.
a mellow number... 3 minutes it doesn't last long.
some people might think that it's wack but i think that that's wrong
You always hope for someone to ask what you're listening to in public but that never happened
Let's have a thread about music with feminist themes, it could be interesting. We have threads about nazi bands and stuff, so I don't see why we can't have one about feminist bands. Do the politically charged lyrics affect your relationship with the music at all? (either positively or negatively) If negatively where's the line? Is talking about first han experience with sexism okay, but mentioning patriarchy a bit too far? Share some music and discuss!
guess dream job
these are both wrong btw

What are some of the most infuriating normie opinions on music?
>Tupac is the greatest of all time and nobody will surpass him.
> Kurt Cobain was a genius
> Dark Side of the Moonrijuana
> Hating on Nickelback but enjoying similarly bad shit
How can Aphex Twin even compete?
What genre would classify this style of music under? If you have anything similar and you're willing to share, please do.
at a certain point, one realizes that classifications and genre tags are pretty much useless at this point. so much of modern music falls between the lines of genres that descriptions or classifications can only be made through comparisons.
I agree entirely, but it does impede finding similar music to some degree and I only lurk /mu/ occasionally because this board is quite a mixed bag of really good music and disinfo. Could you help me to find more tracks similar to "A World of Madness" and "Along"? I have tried looking into ambient music but as you have said, some of it fits and alot of it doesn't as most modern music is a blend.
I will say this: I have found nothing that sounds remotely similar to R + 7. The only thing that comes close is Farside Virtual which isnt as neatly produced and quite a bit more chaotic and busy. Still a great album though.

>kanye on suicide watch
This shit. I haven't listened it a very long time. But this shit. This shit is the best hip hop album of all time. of all time. I love how Doom says the most ill lines but he dosen't react to them. It is like he is just talking and these lines come out. The opposite of kanye where he yells like a emu in heat when he says some cool shit. Plus the beats are GOAT.
Post patrician experimental hip-hop
Why do white people do this? This tape wasnt even that great.

ITT: Albums that aged HORRIBLY production-wise
My god, SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT.
Completely thin, untextured guitars and tin-can-ass drums; one of the few albums brought down from perfection by its production.
New /rym/ thread, old one is past teh bump limit.
Rated the first 300 albums of every year to 1967 (plus some classical that was essential)
I think that's part of it, but personally I've always assumed it's because it's
1. "conceptual" in that every contrapunctus is a variation of each other, which appeals to the rockist want for conceptual music; and
2. it's all fugues, so they can try and claim maximum elitism.
WTC is a better work, and actually finished.
Thread for all general jazz discussion.
What's your favorite subgenre of jazz?
What's your overall favorite jazz album?
Do you think race makes a difference in jazz?
Do you think people who play jazz have more valid opinions about it?
Third Stream, gonna want to get into hard bop because I'm pretty entry level so far, if anyone can rec essential hard bop that'd be cool
Overall, so far, A Love Supreme.
>Race making a difference
I suppose so. Blacks have always been better rappers and jazz musicians, and are closely in tune with the culture and backstory to those genres since they are of the same race who created it. Overall, it's more about the individual skill...

Current favorite song
Wild Nothing - Disappear Always
Last night I went out with some friends and girls and had an awful time. I was feeling anxious the whole time and must have seemed really weird since I wasn't talking. Also I think I'm addicted to cigarettes since I only smoke to calm myself down when anxious but recently I feel worse, especially after last night.

post what you're working on, post WIPs, post resources, ask for advice, give advice, etc. no soundcloud links - this thread isn't for self promotion, it's for self improvement. clyp.it is preferred, you know the deal.
here's a loop I made just now, trying to figure out how to flesh it out into a full track.
I made this song today with a CS-80 emulator and my CZ-101. It's very raw and in progress, yeah I know I need to do like, more than one vocal take and I need to play the keys better.. also the lyrics in the second part will probably be changed also I'll probably add more jammy shit to the end
plz let me know if you have any feedback that might help me finish the song!

On the past weeks i've been making "music for this feel" threads. I have this female friend im in love with. She broke up about a month ago, and as far as i know shes still single. Problem is, my heart jumps every time she posts a pic with her friends, male or female. We only talk via facebook now, so i don't think telling her how i feel is gonna work. What do?
>btw, pic related is the perfect music for this feel
There's never a good time to tell anyone how you feel. If you feel that strongly, do it. If you're too nervous, then accept that its not that powerful of a feeling and move on with your life. Your feelings and your relationships should really take a backseat to your wellbeing. If you're successful or you reach a point of contentment, people will notice that and come to you.
Holy shit. Stop liste4to cringey fedora metal, develop some taste, stop being a pussy, be your own man, stop putting women on a podium and start looking for other women. Fuck whoever you can regardless of if you like them or find them attractive. Just stoo being a bitch and women will gravitate towards you.
