How would you describe Death Grips to a person who has never heard of them?
>The Money Store
>No Love Deep Web
>Niggas on the Moon
>Death Grips EP
Couldn't be bothered to listen to the instrumental releases again
>None of us will live long enough to hear all of the good music that has ever existed because it is humanly impossible to live long enough to do that
>your subjectively perfect album that hits all the right points for you exists out there somewhere and you'll never hear it
So winter's coming up /mu/, what will you be listening to in bed with your gf on cold winter nights?
Went to the record store today /mu/. How'd I do? What do you think about these albums?
old one is super slow now, rate, rec, feedback, that sorta stuff
>lofi, indie, noise pop, garage punk, shoegazy sometimes
>ffo teen suicide, wavves, jesus & mary chain, twin peaks
ALSO ON SPOTIFY NOW (just slackers for now, newest track up within a week)
feedback would be rad
>instrumental hip hop, electronic, lofi, scifi
just released a new album and started work on another. this next one is going to be more sample based and hip hop influenced
>synth, punk, electronic, experimental
Will he be fine?
Is this their peak? I know they got more experimental and sophisticated with Revolver, the White Album and the like, but this is just so lovely and comfy. Arguably the perfect folk-pop album.
Also Beatles general.
What the fuck. This album is actually pretty good
Why is it a meme?
is anything by jan jelinek similar to this one/good?
any similar electronic albums you can think of post em
Hello friends, this is a thread for experimental music discussion. To clarify: Noise, drone, electroacoustic, free improvisation, futurism, indeterminacy, musique concrete, sound collage, and all that good stuff.
What have you been listening to? What have you been making? Movie and literature recommendations, concert experiences, gear, etc. are all welcome
What even is experimental. This is marked experimental on bandcamp. So wtf?
I would like to set out a clear yet general definition of experimental music in this thread.

ITT: serious discussion and bs intellectual dissection of pic related's political content.
I DARE you i fuggin DARE you fagits to find something better than this
Just marathoned the first two tracks of pic related, is the whole thing like this? When does it get good?
Yeah I know, for some reason we're /mu/tants.
But it's not a clever name or anything. Like, /cgl/ being "seagull" is at least pretty punny. And /b/tards are just /b/tards, the name really sums it up. /fa/ggots, /pol/lacks, etc. despite being offensive terms, kind of strike straight to the point about what the board is about, or is like, and so on.
But /mu/. /mu/tant doesn't really say much about us, how we're different from any other board or whatever. It's 4chan, everyone here's a freak, or weirdo, or whatever, so calling...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Did /mu/ already "discuss" this?
ITT underrated Albums by overrated Artists
>Band's 4th album is self titled

I just listened to this, is it good?
>tfw the greatest living folk singer was unjustly incarcerated and had to record his best albums on a shitty little taperecorder and smuggle them out in someone's ass I guess..
music for this feel?

This is the true patrician's AOTY list.
What genre in terms of music scene today is the equivalent of grunge in the early 90s and indie rock in the early 00s?
My best guess is Vaporwave
Thoughts on music streaming services? Worth $10 sheckles a month?
I use apple music and I really like it
if i can't find an album I'll just use soulseek. I'd say apple music is more worth simply because it integrates with your library and is easier to explore music, but both are good.
Why is the G string the hardest to tune?
