An experiment in a pen-and-paper composing general, made for all the theory autists
This differs from /prod/ in that it is more focused on art music and music theory. That is not to say /prod/'s electronic music is unwelcome, by all means, post here! But follow in the footsteps of the classical composers of the 20th century who experimented in electronic music. But remember, this is NOT /classical/. Any art music, such as jazz, is acceptable
Post clyps, and please post accompanying notation so we can accurately critique your composing from a theory perspective

Is there a certain way you listen to her discography? or what string of songs do you like to listen to in order?
>I can pretty much listen to anything except *insert genre*
Does anyone have a chart on how to get into Swans?
Hey /mu/, I need some good Alt. Rock or Post Grunge bands, any recommendations?
What's your music listening method /mu/? (full albums, shuffle, etc...)
Depends on the genre.
rock = mostly albums
classical = live recordings
jazz = live recordings
funk, soul, disco = singles and comps
dance music = singles/mixes
pop music = singles
hip hop = mixtapes
noise = like it even matters

Post some all time great hip-hop and rap albums. Be critical of every post.
It's between this, Gang Starr - Moment of Truth & Viktor Vaughn - Vaudeville Villain
recommend me some baller european (preferably german) hiphop
Kollegah is garbage. If you want to discover some artists, theres a rap competition called the JMC (JuliensMusicCypher) on YouTube right now with some great German rappers competing. It's fanbase mostly consists of retardet kids, consider yourself lucky if you can't read the comments.
My recommendations are: Punch Arogunz, Fischmob, Rapido, Neo Unleashed or Spongebozz.
Neo Unleashed releases his EP on the first of July, he teased some great tracks.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kki3p25Xk9I
Thanks, will check all those names out.
Why is Kollegah garbage, I thought he was universally liked over there? I can't really get into his old stuff where he sounds like a 14yo pimplefaced kid but the last two albums have some really mellow darker sounding beats that I dig. Take into account that I don't speak the language so I am biased since i can't cringe to shit lyrics.

This fucking album takes me back to the darkest moment of my 18 years of life. It's just as devastating 11 months later.
