When will all this 80's pop crap in indie end?
Hey, /mu/. Could I get your favourite album in the following categories?
>Solo Artist (Male)
>Solo Artist (Female)
If you've already listed an instrumental album previously ignore the fourth category. Also there's some leeway in the definition of "instrumental". Albums with sparse vocals that are not emphasised ("A Love Supreme") are okay as are albums that use vocals sampled from something...

What is the future of music? Has everything been done already? Is there nothing left to explore? What are your predictions for the future of music? Even art in general.
Let's get a dnb thread going.

I'm pretty flabbergasted by my recent pickups. Amoeba had a copy of the limited edition version of My Father Will Guide Me Up A Rope To The Sky, #110 and signed by Michael Gira. It was 6 dollars.
Whoever owned this before me, shame on you. You didn't take good care of this album. There's damage all over the digipak and the discs.
Also, 69 Plunderphonics 96. Today was a good day.
I'm rather new to /mu/ and the music community in general. I'm kind of struggling to quantify what makes a song album filler, so I would like some examples. The rules are simple:
1. Post an album
2. Post every song on that album you consider filler.
Starting with an easy album.
I don't think that's strictly true. If you only have 30 minutes of music worth showing but your label demands 40 minutes then you could bang out a simple song.
My question is how people confidently call something album filler.

This is the most pretentious album I've ever listened to. How do people enjoy this?
There is absolutely no pretense in the slightest.
It is solely a highly abrasive plunderphonics album that isn't particularly good.
"Pretentious" is not a catchall term for things you don't like.
