What DAW do you use?
Did you pay for it?
How did you learn to use it?
DAW general discussion.
when it only cost me 50 dollars and came with years of free updates, damn right.
I used it heaps and I got better at using it by using it heaps.
That settles it.
ITT: 4AD. I've seen them called the favourite label of many people on here, and I love many artists they had signed in the 80's - Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, This Mortal Coil (know they're not technically a band but still) but I'm very unimpressed by many of their currently signed ones. I'm talking Future Islands, Warpaint, U.S girls etc. I think Daughter are pretty decent but nothing distinct and unique like what they had going on in the 80's. Am I missing something? What are the best artists currently signed to them?
my waifu is on there but this >>55516719
I don't really like the rapping on this, but I like jazzy beats.
You guys know what else I can listen to? I'm familiar with some classics like ATCQ, Pharcyde, Us3.
Pick your favorite band/artist.
Sell me on them. I will listen to 1 song, and 1 song only. Pick a song that you think best sums up their overall sound/style. After listening to it, I will give you a pass/fail grade as to whether or not you've impressed me enough to seek out anything further.
Backstreet Boys or Nsync?

Hey /mu/ let's get a sharethread going!
To get started here's a fresh Sisters of Mercy Vinyl Rip (FLAC)
No Life 'Till Leather RSD Reissue (Cassette Rip)
The Phantom Surfers - 18 Deadly Ones!!
>Surf rock, spooky-themed, pure scooby doo, credit goes to AmericanScumbag for posting The Deadly Ones earlier
>Absolutely godawful quality but hey it probably sounds better this way (you might as well rip the youtube vid)
Let's make general assumptions about countries based on their music.
>UK used to be tough right into the 70's, then things got weird and now they're all a bunch of pussies.
What are some other albums that are this insane?
Between those two, which one do you think has the strongest bias toward music (if any)?
What are your favorite video game tunes?
I figured I could get some interesting tunes out of /mu/ that are from video games, along with some discussion about video game music in general.

>'Privileged white people shouldn’t steal hip-hop'
Is she right?
No it doesn't matter
Music is music there's not a race wall that prevents someone from a different race making a kind of music
Race honestly shouldn't even be an issue everyone just do what they want and stop bitching all the time
Also white guilt isn't a real thing don't feel obligated to provide kindness and support based on ancestry provide kindness and support because that's what good people do and whoever you support should support you when you need it
People are fucking retarded and memes
