in the dance edition
If The Prodigy improves upon this sound, might we see them become the breakbeat giants they were 20 years ago? It's a lot more consistent than IMD or AONO. Vocals are a bit annoying at times though.
The album is bad because for some reason every single song sounds almost the exact same and there's like an annoying white noise in the background
Also: nobody listens to Prodigy's songs for the lyrics, this is why their songs like "Diesel power" are shit
Good dance/techno songs use lyrics as a tool, as in the example above, not the point and focus of the song
>implying this wasn't AOTY 2014
Implying? It's explicitly clear that it wasn't. Seriously, the only legitimate excuse for considering this as your AOTY is if it was actually the only album you even listened to. Even Ultraviolence is better, and Lana Del Rey is bloody terrible.
ITT: good stuff you've recently discovered
I'm making a mixtape called "Do You Wanna Fuck?", what are some essential SONGS [not albums as shown in pic related]?
How does /mu/ get their beefy ass tone? General pedal/setup discussion welcomed.
Can go from a fat fuzz to harsh noise wall depending on the setting
My favorite pedal purchase ever was the Russian Big Muff. Slightly less abrasive than the standard, but still a great heavy tone.
This pedal is great too, but it requires a lot of parameter tweaking to get usable sounds (unless you're on that noise tip).
AOTY calling it now
Tame Impala is the best band on Earth...
I like Tyler, the Creator. /mu/ despises him.
>inb4 teen, inb4 underaged, inb4 its shit and you should feel like shit for liking it. i don't care.
What about you, /mu/?
Best Japanese band ever

Anyone like this?
I've always assumed that Rush, King Crimson, and Yes were the holy trinity. Am I wrong? I don't feel wrong.
This album needs more appreciation. Seriously one of my favorite emo records of the decade.
>massive build ups
>electronic post rock
>lots of layers
>somewhat modern classical inspired
Thank you for listening
