How can I "get" Death Grips? I just don't understand what I should be listening for and am frustrated.
To musicfags out there: how did you git gud at note identification/sound recognition? I want to learn to play an instrument but feel like it would be pointless to start with chords and stuff if i don't even recognize sounds. When you close your eyes, what do you associate notes to? Colours, depth of sound or something else entirely? Anything you wish you knew before you started learning?
Why is this the best instrument mankind could ever conceive?
Who's buying, who's pirating and who doesn't give a shit? Anyone thinking of seeding it as soon as possible?
I don't "get" Throbbing Gristle /mu/.
I don't understand what there is to "get". I like a lot of groups that are often classed as similar (Coil, Nurse With Wound, early Current 93), but TG does nothing for me. I really like Hamburger Lady and some live recordings of tracks like Discipline but nothing else does anything for me at all.
ITT: Share one song from your country you think is good.
Are there any albums that focus heavily on dialectics and/or the teachings of philosophy?
I'm hoping to find mostly metal and classical, but any genre will do. The spergier the better.
>inb4 Logic the rapper
>tfw Pink Floyd invented post-rock
No, that was King Crimson. Not that it's surprising since post-rock is essentially a subgenre of prog, and was clearly a primary influence on most all first wave post-rock bands.
ITT: Almost unknown artists/tracks
Does mu like industrial goth rock ?
help me /mu/
HOW DO YOU GO FROM THIS
When did you grow out of Radiohead?
I find myself growing in and out of bands. I listened to a lot of Radiohead when I was first getting into music, and now I find myself hyped for their next album despite not having listened to them much since the release of TKOL.
Is pic related ready to replace Prince?
no he's a legit slave to his manager/label that got him out of his mess with rihanna

Has music died? Nothing interests me anymore. Almost every popular artist is a gold-digging pretentious whore. The public has become so blind and deaf these past years, they don't stand up for what they believe in anymore. They wait for those special 'track-by-track' reviews from their favorite YouTubers so that they can formulate an opinion. It's all very sad really. I'm not saying there aren't any real artists out there, I'm sure they are. But they'll never be as big as Bieber or Selena. What we need is a new artist with big fucking...

What do you think about this movie, /mu/?
Is this the dream of a /mu/tant?
It was pretty good. I'd hardly say it's the dream of a /mu/tant as the message I got from it is that, no matter how much you love music, some people are naturally inspired to create and some are not.
