Here's a guide for anyone wondering about this "new genre."
No memes please.
Leading this off with one of my favorite EP's from this year.

What do you guys think is going to be the next mainstream subgenre to blow up for a year or two?
Deep house is running on empty at this point and trap and dubstep died long ago, big room might be the most cancerous music form to ever have existed. Most of these were predictable before they really went big, but right now it's seems like nothing new or interesting is surfacing.
I'd say techno is the next big thing but the general public can't get into techno like that no matter how homogenized it can possibly be.
Either that or old 90's garage sound because it's apparently already being played out in the UK and other yuro regions but it hasn't even gotten to that point at all here in murrica. I'm sure it'll be the next big thing here in terms of what people here call "ladhouse" in that regard.

You're one of the most gifted "experimental" musicians on this board, hands down.
I think it's time we addressed the elephant in the room: there's a serious problem on this board stemming from an attempted Marxist revolution of musical taste disguised as the philosophy of "subjectivity".
It's an unspoken but well-understood rule that /mu/ is a board for music lovers. People with well-rounded tastes that is built upon a preference from theoretical, emotional, and sonic elements that they've found makes up their favorite pieces of music. You asked these people why they liked a song and they could tell you. If the quality...

Sora no Woto was a pretty fun show.
The atmosphere was great, humor pretty good, animation was fairly well done. Overall it was one of my favorite shows. I haven't seen an Sora no Woto discussion around here lately, thoughts?

> industrial hip-hop instrumentals, inspired by glitch, noise and old school industrial, heavily sample based
Not mine but I think they deserve some more love:
Snowmine - Laminate Pet Animal
> I guess folk pop, baroque pop music, I dunno but shit, it's pretty and perfect for the coming Autumn and Winter
I never see them mentioned that often here so I think they need a little more love.
