South Florida hip-hop will be on the rise in 2017 and this man will likely be leading that wave. Get familiar with him early on before it's too late /mu/
Then don't bother going into threads related to hip-hop. Simple.
So I know shit about metal. What the hell is the difference between death metal and black metal?
even though they both have the same muddy, crucible-esque origin during the extreme metal expansion of 1981-1985, death metal focused on thick production, heavy bass and complex riffs (comparatively, at least) that owed more to 2nd wave thrash and focused on horror and gore. Vocals mainly low growls. Very fast. Black metal was first a very raw and minimal strain of 1st wave thrash that during the early 90s (particularly in Norway, and called the 2nd wave of black metal) became a response against the (perceivedly) excesses of death metal. It's crude, vocals are mostly high-pitched...

Death metal employs heavy riffs, low-pitched grunts and a lot of blast beats.
Black metal is more amelodic, atmospheric and typically characterised by higher pitched screeches.

Hello, my name is Mr Ppirf and I come from some place far away.
Anyway, I say we all buy King Crimson's back catalogue on physical releases in a completely legal manner
Done, Mr. Ppirf! I own the back catalogue of this very special band King Crimson!
Now I'll rip these original physical releases that I bought in a completely legal manner so that I may have the files in my computer for ease of access (and so that I can share them on soulseek)
Who is this and why should I care if she died?
I'm going to Jordan and Jerusalem, anyone know any music from Jordan or Israel that's good? Preferably not sad, but with strings, a bit grand-sounding. Also, Old Testament related songs like many of the Pixies songs are very welcome.
all songs must be under 30 seconds.
please use a BPM between 105 and 115
no theme for now
i'm thinking at least 20 tracks, that would still only be a 10 minute listen at max.
the artist name will be trips,
the tracks will be posts ending in 69, 42, or dubs.
album name and cover will be decided once we have some tracks and suggestions.
will go live on the this is not the band name bandcamp in 10 hours even if it's not 'fininshed'
I stumbled across a math rock band called TTNG on Audiotree live and I need more.
Please suggest some math rock bands.

>people actually think Helplessness Blues is better than this
Basic white girl music. Post it please.
This semester has left me a little out of touch with the popular music scene, and I need to create a playlist for a party tonight. What are people listening to these days at parties? I need shit like "Closer" by The Chainsmokers, any help would be appreciated
He /mu/ I'm taking shrooms for the first time and looking for recs on music to trip to. Thinking mainly ambient, maybe some psych rock or Hendrix or something, maybe post rock? Appreciate any recs
Try Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz Series. 8 Mixes released between around 1995 and 2015.
Like the title says, it's very Jazzy, but also with Hip-Hop elements, but always very smooth and groovy.
This is Part 1
It was so awesome listening to this while shrooming.
So I am about to get my first real electric guitar.
and I have some questions about the pickups
What is the difference between a
and a Strat RW.
I want one of these but I don't want the sound to be too "warm".
I like surf rock, grunge, punk and classic rock.
This is better than anything the beatles ever done
it's just boring country-blues rock. I never got the appeal. It's not that I don't like the Rolling Stones, I think all of their singles from the 60s to ~72 are really good, but their albums are just overrated, they don't have one that's consistently good
Maybe it's because you are only interested in bands that release singles. The Stones were about playing the whole album and chilling, not about focusing on single songs. That's why Exile, among others, is a masterpiece.
So where was you when the GOAT dropped his latest?
I'm gonna call it now, this is gonna get AOTY.
This album gets better and better with every listen :(
is this the only the 10/10 ?
Do you like music like this?
Who else does it this well?
I'm a bored pleb, rec me something to listen to so I can expand my horizons or some shit
ITT: Musicians who voted for Trump.
Would this be your dream girl /mu/?
ITT: Post songs with the perfect chorus, or else!
I start: Toto - Africa
Justice fanboys, how many of these have you listened to?
What's better? Ys or Have on on me? Thank u moo :)
4/5 of Ys is amazing, but I always found Cosmia to be very annoying. So I guess Have One On Me, even though it doesn't quite reach the highs of Ys, it doesn't really contain a single dud imo.
What's some metal that doesn't suck?
Vulnicura is the best album in the last 10 years.
