music about being a depressed NEET loser?
I'm sick of seeing "depression" music about breakups
How do you guys listen to music?
Looking for inspiration for setup.
General hifi thread, I guess.
post ur recordings; critique etc. etc.
i need to bike to work early in the morning this week. can someone recommend some nice ambient/atmospheric music?
i love listening to these really early in the morning because no ones out, its calm, and it's pretty dark where i live but i don't want to over play them
>rain temple - 2814
>bad moon rising - sonic youth
>my favorite things - john coltrane
I listen to this one on dark and rainy mornings
Post an image, anons say what music genre it falls into
Whatever genre Ween's La Cucaracha falls into. I associate Jeb with that.
why does everyone here keep circlejerking about the same artists year after year?
don't you guys listen to lesser known/local stuff? maybe go down the rabbit hole on a particular subgenre you enjoy? why's it always about critically acclaimed classics and making sure everybody knows how knowledgeable you are of them? is it a fear of being accepted by your peers?
why is anthony fantano so prevalent around here? he's a good critic, I agree with him often but is he like fulfilling the role of your older brother or something?
why are there memes of this man? is he really that important that he's got to occupy so much of your thoughts?
I think /mu/ is mostly kids who are just getting into "good" music, but their only exposure to it is through music critics. I like to think as they find their niches and explore new things, they usually also outgrow the board, and 4chan. The people who stick around are simply retarded.
is she the joni mitchell of our time?
What are you listening to ?
How hard do you guys think it would be to start a movement like punk or grunge so I could preform on MTV and tell my old HS Principal to go fuck himself for putting me in special ed classes?
in the past, you would achieve it by being an edgy-contrarian guy, but now that is the trend among millennials. Consider that your target audience will be Gen-Z, what would they consider to be the qualities of an edgelord role model?
It's already happened, and it's called Schizophrenic Pop.
Get with the times, grandpa.
DUDE WE SOUND LIKE THE 80s LMAO
Idk if it's always you who starts these threads, but nice taste in black metal. I don't do 4x4 so I can't participate, but you should know that I see you and I respect you.
Where do you live lmao
Name a better genre of music than Garage Rock.
what the fuck
>first 3 albums are quality projects
>every other album after terrible garbage.
HOW does someone that used to make such great music make such terrible music?
wrasslin is more important to Billy Bob than music ever was
This is Toto's original singer who sang on Africa. What the fuck?
Is this pic a good introduction to the different genres of music? Should anything be added to it?
what's the next big genre /mu/?
Let's have another argument about jazz education
everyone knows only black people can play jazz kneegrows
Is listening to Judas Priest high IQ behavior?
I know people that are metal heads that have IQs of 140, and they love Judas Priest.
Homosexuals have higher IQ than the average and are overrrepresented in international geniuses and prodigies, and Judas Priest is the greatest, most homosexual music in existence, so I can believe it. Praise Halford
>O shit dat running boi stole your girlfriend.
Fantano meme review when?
is this album worth listening to? I can't find a download anywhere and I've never seen them discussed anywhere but /mu/. What do they sound like?
Anyone know anything about this Mick Fleetwood drummer who freaks out on stage and plays a vest? What the actual fuck?
Well, to be honest, the main thing I was trying to find out is if the other drummer in the video is actually Charlie Watts from the Rolling Stones? I love the 60s bands and I love the 90s bands, I just don't like the 70s and 80s stuff at all.
>vest with triggers in it
>goes full pagan ritual drum circle
>percussionist playing congos with axes
what don't you get?
Who here /charli/ ?
Here we discuss the obvious queen of /mu/ and her angelic music.
>the obvious queen of /mu/
>her angelic music.
don't mind me, just posting the superior version of Charli
Sorry to be making a /bandnamesthread/ but that
Make them not be ironic or sarcastic or funny in a cookie-cutter type way, rest is all you.
70s-90s where the only great years for music, prove me wrong.
I don't understand why you wouldn't include the 60s, which was probably the best decade for albums objectively and and fresh time for music, art and culture in general that has not been matched since
ITT: Fuck you, I like it
>song samples an answering machine
>song samples an answering machine after 15 minutes of silence
>silence continues for another 15 minutes afterwards
