what are some other good 00s post punk revival bands? i want to dwell in stolen nostalgia
yeah i know, been listening to them recently, i've only known munich earlier and loved it and honestly have no idea why i didn't picked it up earlier
>I STILL LOVE THE LIGHT OH BABY
Kid A > OK Computer > In Rainbows > Amnesiac > The Bends > Hail to the Thief > The King of Limbs > Pablo Honey
What the fuck? I just heard the new Kanye track and I don't even like Drake but he's completely jacking his flow and everything. It's ridiculous how blatant it is. And suddenly in the middle of the song he does a blatant imitation of Future with the vocoder on. What a psycho.
Are there any baritone vocalists in pop bands or should I just kill myself :)
Currently going through Bowie's discography in order, and I like a lot of it, but holy fucking shit this is easily the worst album of his I've heard so far. How the fuck did the same guy who made Aladdin Sane and Space Oddity make this pile of shit? I don't even want to keep listening to this guy.
If you've been listening chronologically, this should be a major improvement over Young Americans. And yeah it's a change of style but so are all his albums after YA. He won't go back to glam rock after Diamond Dogs.

Released an EP like a week ago i never know what genres to write lol
Are there any good Juno 106 vsts?
Or does anyone have a crack for this?
I have the free version but its meh
you don't get any animation in the gui knobs and sliders on the free version right? i was trying to use it a year ago but that really bugged me and i went back to the logic polysynth plugin i was using before
Is anyone else sick of these types of pic related "starter packs".
Not only is it meaningless, it's just straight up hating on some of the greatest artists of the past and current generation. I think 16 year olds like this music because it is what STARTED a lot of modern day genre's so they latch on to them.
K-pop: Could someone share HyunA's music with me? I can't find anywhere online I can download it and I would buy it but I don't have very much money :( I really like most of her albums and it would be cool if you could get anything by 4minute too <3
ITT: worst fanbases
The people who hate St. Vincent are worse than the people who like her but there are a lot of delusional St. Vincent fans that can't accept that she's not the peak of musical perfection.
I like St. Vincent but I can't stand other people calling out anyone that says anything about her that isn't the utmost praise.
is it that one who keeps posting the "Jar Jar Binks being punched" picture?
/mu/'s opinion on The Boss?
Tom Petty is twice the artist Bruce is but gets half the appreciation. The two are contemporaries who started their careers at about the same time, but Petty was still making good songs into the 2000s while Springsteen had tapped himself out creatively by the late 80s.
Is this the closest music reviewing has come to avant-garde literature? I would love it if more album reviews were like this.
far the fuck out. i would love to be given free creative license like this, to just rave about albums i like in whatever kind of overblown, insane poetic language i like.
this shit is probably my nominee for the most like "avant-garde literature" though. so fucking meta, this guy had some killer joke reviews.
What does /mu/ think of B.B. King?
He never made a bad album per se, though after the early 70s his stuff became strictly paint-by-numbers. Live At The Regal and Live At Crook County Jail are pretty much his musical zenith, so listen to those if nothing else.
Glad I got to see him play. He was great even as eighty-one years old. He couldn't get up from his chair and walk on his own, but he sounded damn amazing, even his voice was still great.
Live at the Regal, Cooks County Jail, those are albums I recommend. It's just such excellent music. It exudes an appreciation for life.
Angels of Light....
Good Swans side project or a meme band?
Their best moments rival the best of Swans, though they miss that grand album-encompassing coherency that makes Swans albums so grand. This does make Angels of Light more digestible, and honestly I haven't found much that sounds like Gira's way of approaching folk rock styles on the AoL albums.
