what's his best album?
we emo now.
Anyone listen to any Japanese emo? I got into falls this summer. They're like the Japanese Algernon Cadwallader. I highly recc. Pls post charts guys.
i'm a guitarist looking to branch out, synths and shit are very foreign to me. i bought this the other day and i've spent 2 days trying to get plugins to work and it's so frustrating that i think i'm going to return it.
anyone use this before? Akai MPK Mini. it came with all sorts of packages, i've been trying to get Hybrid 3 to run, it downloads/installs but never loads in the program. windowsTurd i mean windows 10 64bit is my OS
or, can anyone recommend a good beginner synth?
>Girl looks over my Ipod in Class
>Checks out my emo collection
>She asks if i can buy her coffee sometime
>some random /mu/tant recommends me the band Screaming Females
>really dig it, DL their stuff
>chick checking out my music, doesn't recognize anything but obvious shit like Radiohead and NMH
>sees Screaming Females, can't believe someone else knows them
>we wind up going to one of their shows a few months later and fuck after
>that feel when a random anon gets you laid
Where the fuck do you find girls that listen to music like this? Literally EVERY single girl where I live listens to top 40. Some of them didn't even know the Beatles? Wtf? There is literally just one girl I've seen that listens to The Smiths, The Strokes and indie shit like that which are decent at least.
>tfw no qt girl to go to concerts with
So, the anniversary of What.CD starting is coming up in just a few days. What's the likelihood of a freeleech?
thanks anon, good to know, i really hope it will happen. i guess it's time for me to get a seedbox and finally boost my ratio after 5 months of barely uploading anything.
haven't logged in for several days by now.
i think it's unlikely that it will happen on the 9 year anniversary. next year might be possible though...
when was the last sitewide freeleech anyway? i've only been a member for 4 months now...
Pic related, it's Yours To Keep
I would pick either Over the Neptune/Mesh Gear Fox or I am a Scientist as the defining GBV song
Over the Neptune is an amazing song that basically chronicles the highs and lows of trying to make it as a bunch of small time 30-something musicians with a dream that GBV was. Feels like Bob/GBV's swan song. And that transition into Mesh Gear Fox is gorgeous. Also their best overall song imo.
I am a Scientist is also up there with their best songs and is basically Bob's mission statement as a songwriter

I'm trying to get into Spanish music, I'm a native Spanish but really only listen to Portuguese and English musicians. Could another hispano spoonfeed me some reccomendations please?
This shit was awesome. Where can I find similar music?
anything else like this? sort of, monotone rap with real good production, already heard DOOM and Ka, also, does jonwayne have any other rap albums?
— Dour Candy
— History Will Absolve Me
— Black Jungle Radio
— The Decline Of Black Anakin
— The Night Took Us In Like Family (with L'Orange)
More of Jon Wayne: Cassette, Cassette II, Jon Wayne Is Retired.
also maybe Dälek, Dr Yen-Lo (Ka & Preservation) and Freddie Gibbs
GOAT monotone rap album
>They say people never change
>but that's bullshit, they do
Why do hipsters/numales who are overwhelmingly hyper liberal listen to stuff like Burzum?
ITT: albums that were talked about for a week and then faded into obscurity
>Nonetheless, the Swans remain unrecognizable (note for the younger generations: no, your parents were not listening to this "stuff", they were listening to Filth and Cop, much darker "stuff"). What happened? I mean, they used to be a scary band. People would say mean stuff to me at school and I'd play it loud Filth and Cop and stuff like that. I'd say, "Don't make me destroy you." And they'd back off. DAE miss it when music was actually dark and intimidating like Filth? This new stuff is gay and shit like...

Led Zeppelin had 5 good songs total (and one of them was Stairway).
The rest were slow Blues and Acoustic songs that everyone skips.
Prove me wrong.
pick your sides, /mu/, this is the end times.
r8, h8, rec, guess things about people, etc.
nice, like a lot of stuff on there, CRJ, Massive Attack, Portishead and such
what exactly is Kero Kero Bonito
/lit/ here. Why come your Bob Dylan disrespecting us so much? He should be grateful that our nobel committee awarded him a very prestigious nobel prize in literature. The last american nobel winner was in the 1970s. You should be kissing /lits/ ass that we gave you this award. What is his deal
I'm a metal head that listens to all types, and this brought me something I had never experienced before. So much so, that it changed my course of musical taste. I went from listening to hardcore and beat down to instrumental and progressive metal/jazz overnight. It opened up my eyes to so much more as far as "metal" is concerned. I will never forget the moment I heard it and how I reacted. This album was life changing and had only gotten better as time has gone on.
>Benn Jordan - Pale Blue Dot: Tribute to Carl Sagan
I've listened to ambient music for years, tearing through probably over a hundred different albums. None have ever brought me closer to space than this album. The sound design is gorgeous, giving me the sense of loneliness and coldness that I would imagine space to feel like, and every track blends into the next seamlessly. The journey I had the first time I listened to it was one I will never forget, and to this day it is an album that will, without fail, give me the catharsis that...

That's a beautiful explanation. I'm going to go and check that out right now. I myself am a huge "space nerd" myself, so anything like that sounds fantastic. Thank you for the insight friend.
Also, if you like heavier things, might I suggest "The Contortionist" - Exoplanet album. It's a very involving plot and story for the exploratory nature of humans in space as the earth is dying and they search for a new home. Worth it to look at the lyrics.
I want a synth, like a good synth that (sorry for the upcoming cringe but its the only way I could describe it) sounds like it could be on a /mu/core release, or just something that is regarded as sounding professional.
Hate presets but I'd love to save my sounds, analog pls.
This is better than Sunbather.
Just listened to this first time, never felt more conflicted about an album in my entire life. Some songs (Airbag, Paranoid Android, Karma Police & No Surprises) are absolute 10/10s, while the rest of the songs sound like filler. Never heard anything else from Radiohead, is this what all their projects are like?
Alright Anon, tell give me an album or a chart of albums that YOU think I should hear. My music is becoming stagnant, I need to experience something new. I want that "wow, how have I never heard this before?!" experience. Will you help me out, Anon?
Almost all of them. Not particularly a fan of the Sufjan stuff.
Any genre is fine with me. I'd be down to check out weird genres. Usually I don't listen to metal, but maybe there's a sub-genre of metal out there for me. I'm really down to listen to anything you think someone willing to experiment with genres would be interested in hearing.
Listen to the new Danny Brown album
What did you guys think of this? just got around to listening and the last song is amazing. the last 20 minutes are really good
Daft Punk's career peaked the night they played this
Prove me wrong
Other one died.
>psychedelic folk, space ambient, berlin school, ritual, drone, post-rock, mix of everything
here you can find projects, concepts and ideas where I've worked for
>depressive black metal?
>every release its different
new stuff? gonna check it later with some coffee! yeahh
this sucks lol
This will make up for that.
My body is ready
