"In the moment", pretty much nothing at all. I just try to get into the zone and see where it takes me. I don't try to think of specific...

Sure, thanks for the offer. I don't really have a completed song yet, but here's a random melody I "wrote" (read: fucked with random keys on the keyboard and then consolidated everything) recently. It'd have some other things in the arrangement when in the finished song.
I don't really like it much by itself but in the context of the track I'm working on it does its job. Feel free to be as harsh or nitpicky as you like with your feedback.
I didn't like it
Are there any really cool songs featuring didgeridoos?
whats wrong with canadian musicians?
What's cooler than being cool?
it doesn't matter anyway
no, it's just a little too late
Is he right, /mu/?
what is the instrument in Hailee Seinfeld's "Starving"?
It has the semi-solo where there's like a echoed voice mashed up with it, then it has a solo riff.
What is that? I don't understand, but that particular riff sort of gives me the chills - I think it's the frequency of the notes or something about the "strings" - if it's not electronic in the first place. I don't really know much about music, but I know it gives me a weird feeling.
you think it's fucking funny but it's not
>Semen stains the mountain tops
What the fuck did he mean by this?
Ariel pinks delusional misogyny is emblematic of the kind of bullshit everyone woman in this industry faces daily
Give me some dark ambient that I can explore the deepest depths of my consciousness to
Show me the abyss lads
Post your break up albums guys... here's mine.
I realize it's not very well defined (they tend to be remixes and compilations anyway), but all that stuff that happens to fall in between techno and house sounds pretty great to me.
The Modernist - Kangmei
Post your gems lads.
die fette gazelle from the modernist is so good too but no yt
pleb here only know the kompakt series and a few mm collections
Oh and yeah Kompakt is king in this regard
If you want to get broader look either into the Fabric or Balance mixes
Either way you can look up any of those names there or in the Kompakt compilations and you are guaranteed to come up with a lot of good stuff.

Who is the Sam Hyde of music?
>brief, bizarre brushes with mainstream notoriety
>aesthete with a cult following

Is there such a thing as Noise Country? The closest I can think of is Henry Flynt sometimes. I can think of examples of noise folk. That Even Oxen album is kind of like that. Anyone know of any Noise Country/Folk/Americana?
How do I raise my musical IQ?
How do I listen to music better?
How do I get better taste in music?
How do I learn to hate pleb music and appreciate patrician music?
to give you a taste of how undeveloped my taste is, pic related, it's my favorite album
>raise musical IQ
not real, don't worry
>listen to music better
>better taste in music
>hate pleb/appreciate patrician

Does /mu/ like insane clown posse and weed?
I was completely unaware of The Weekend as an artist until this week, can someone please give me a nutshell summary of this guy? How is he worth $60m? I only like 2 tracks on Starboy, what album is he famous for?
Or did he make the money through back room deals/producing beats for others?
"his" first album and most acclaimed albun is basically 3-4 tracks he literally stole from a producer (who also came up with the name The Weekend btw), and the rest of the tracks were produced by hired people who just bit/copied the style of the stolen 3-4 tracks.
The rest of the albums suck
I was looking in this record store and saw this. There wasn't a single other copy in the store. So I bought it right away.
I now own my first and only vinyl. I don't even own a record player.
So, what record players does /mu/ own? What do you recommend I buy?
Audio-Technica AT-LP120. It's expensive, but it won't kill your records, it has a built-in preamp, it's built well, and it sounds good.
One word of warning:
I have two of them (long story as to why)--one as a gift and one I bought. The fist one's preamp has a very annoying noise gate that ruins fade-outs and quiet parts in general; this is apparently a common problem with LP120s. The second one, on the other hand doesn't have this issue, so you may wanna do a little research on that, 'cause they might have removed the noise gate on newer...

Yeah it definitely isn't cheap, $595 in Australia.
Would I need any other devices to go with it? I've got a computer, and a pair of AT-M50x headphones. Is that all I need to listen to it, if I don't use speakers?
Thanks! Is there any way to tell the age of the vinyl?
The cover looks pretty word, but I don't see any dates on it.
idk the rest but mac demarco's nice desu
Post pics you have taken and anon tells you what genre they would be if they were album covers
Indie folk or electronica.
Post rock / experimental.
