Opinions on Chvrches?
Post albums that are well known and appreciated on /mu/, but haven't been reviewed by p4k and tnd and I will make them onto a chart.
Will there be a tour?
Love this album, I'm listening to it now for the 10th time, what other King Gizzard albums are like that? I heard I'm in your mind fuzz once, and didn't really got into it (I might need to listen to it more) - Satan Speeds Up is really great thou, and Her and I is also pretty good.
tl;dr: which King Gizzard album sounds the most like Nonagon Infinity?
>which King Gizzard album sounds the most like Nonagon Infinity?
Kinda hard to answer since Nonagon diverges the most from their usual sound out of all their albums
Try 12 Bar maybe?

Whoever guesses which gig destroyed these shoes wins a rare Thom Yorke

Let's talk noise. Harsh noise, power electronics, death industrial, HNW, etc. but preferably no noise rock or pop. What've you been listening to lately? What've you been making? What gear do you use?
I just reconfigured my gear today and got everything in one box. Pretty pleased
Currently listening to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvMh9q6kfK4 from the Japanese noise thread. Good stuff, haven't listened to much Japanese free improv, EAI, etc.
Who /noise office/ here? I always turn down the volume when someone walks by, though I think my power level has been exposed already. How does /noise/ listen to noise?
This noise tape is pretty good honestly and listening to the real thing rn, though there's only one track for streaming.
Super nice portable rig! Although I personally prefer using less distortion and more modulator pedals like flangers, delays, and octavers. (pic related, my really badly put together setup)
Also, anyone going to Cheap Fest VII in Richmond, VA? I'm playing a set there.

What headphones do you use, /mu/?
Fuck im in love...
Its almost 2017, anon. Are you still pretending to not like death grips?

>Children of Men
Why was the 80s so bad for music?
So we all agree that Yeezus is his best by far, right?
maybe if you're 15, sure
Graduation/ Good Fridays compilation are the only things that really hold up, kanye is at best an extremely overrated entryway into more competent and interesting rappers
Rate, recommend, and all that stuff
This man has the Midas touch. Whether he writes the song or just comes on to go YEA in the background, literally any song he touches turns to gold. We're living in the shadow of a genius and he's completely under-appreciated.
>The aphex twin of our time is a tranny
what a time to be alive
Has any one else noticed the selly-ester watts field in this album?
When did you realize Xiu Xiu was trash?
>I can't separate art from the artist
>Was AOTY 2015 for nearly every critics list
>Didn't win a AOTY from the Grammys
Can /mu/ explain this without any meme responses?
I thought the Grammys only went for the popular vote?
Trouble tolerating Hip Hop Culture
I grew up listening to hip hop. You know the story - impressionable white kid who saw hip hop as a vehicle for his rebellion and prepubescent angst.
Not to put this whole genre down, but as I grew up I grew out of my fondness for it. My intellectual pursuits, along with my emotional development, maturity and appreciation for culture and art generally required more stimuli than what hip hop was willing to offer.
As I was growing up hip hop found its way into the mainstream, both as a form of music and as cultural currency...

That's like saying music is flu-enabling or IBS-enabling. It's an illness, dumbass. Also tastes change with time, what was once appealing to you might not be any more. You do sound a bit grumpy though.

What's /mu/ think of ELO?
What does he listen to?
Who are some disgusting perverts of music
