What's the worst album Fantano has given a good score?
Pic related is my vote. One of the few times I thought p4k hit the nail on the head while Fantano dropped the ball
ITT: albums that people only pretend to like

ITT: Albums that have aged Horribly.
Woh, what the fuck is that Miles?
I might have listened to his bebop/hardbop before, and stuff like Bitches Brew and Sketches of Spain are godlike.
Not sure I can like it one day, sounds pretty cheesy. And I have nothing against 80's sonorities when they're well used. But it just sounds...kinda bad.
Anyways...please excuse my terrible english and let's have a jazz thread.
Don't hesistate to throw in recent jazz stuff, I'm curious to see if there's something behind the heritage of Davis, Coltrane and stuff. (I liked the...

Is it just another overpriced, over-hyped meme instrument, or is it really only way to go if you want a bass with truly god-tier tone?
Was there a reason why Squire, Burton, etc all played it, or is its reputation all a bunch of BS.
I'm really coveting one lately, but I'm wondering what people here have to say about it.
OP here. I'm craving an electric bass as a way of getting back into playing, and I don't want to buy a piece of crap. That said, I also have exactly zero interest in getting a Fender since their basses just seem so boringly decent and I'd rather spend the cash on something with a little flair.
Are there any other good alternatives out there?
find a flaw
>protip: you can't
Can we have a nice, comfy 5x5 thread full of recs and love?
tranquility bass let the freak flag fly or something like that
Probably not but we can try
check out the minutemen history pt 2
You might like The Books. Good shit on your chart in general.
Try Mr. Bungle. Where should I start with Zappa?
Appreciate the Satie.
Post some spooky tunes or just songs that remind you of Halloween. Fireworks is a great band for halloween
I saw two guys having this discussion today:
One said that metal as a whole is a subgenre of rock music, so it should be considered rock. The other one said that while it is true that metal took a lot of influence of rock music, it's a completely different thing, that it's just metal, not rock.
I hate this kind of discussion but I can't stop thinking about it now. Who do you think was right?
Pic unrelated, Rob Halford is a fag, but a cool fag.
>dont be a lazyposter edition
the other chart thread is dead so now theres this one
What do gender fluids listen to?
the sound of my gun shooting against them
-being a nazi
that's not a 3x3 m8
Does anyone else think music is sometimes used to influence the population's behavior? Although the artist may not intend it, their own disfunctionalities show up in their lyrics and those thought patterns are transferred via a catchy melody and ingrained into millions of kids, teens, and adults who are subconciously looking for role models. This is only one example, but I remember specifically friends and I growing up adopting many of the behaviors and thought patterns of each new band we listened to. I'm not saying that we weren't already going toward those...

Ya bro I listened to Boards once and now I'm in a cult. Beautiful scenery tho.
It has to be said.
>everybody has to stoop down to my level of shit taste
It's not a matter of popularity, it's about what sounds good. The reason pop music gets shit on so hard is because it's literally the same thing, just a different name and figurehead behind it.
Is black people inventing music a meme?
I hear people say things like "black people invented rock music" but these foundational music these people made seems to be so general that it could only have been vague inspiration for bands like Led Zeppelin
And that only gets more and more general as time goes on, to say that Chuck Berry is ultimately responsible for grunge music is kind of ridiculous
I don't know about jazz music and stuff
Which Needle Drop Reviews do you highly disagree with?
Frankly I thought this was an overwhelming amount of praise for one of the most overinflated and bland trap albums of this year, especially with the fact he dislikes Young Thug. Their aesthetics are highly similar aside from Lil Yachty being somewhat intelligible.
Does /mu/ like good music ?
Im seeing swans in London on the 14th but I am only marginally interested in the band and think some of their music is self indulgent, am I doing it wrong?
ladies and gentlemen, the greatest album of all time
I like making album covers. I can make yours for free.
ITT: Post an album and your favorite song on it, others reply with what they think is the best song on it.
