I have better taste than all of you.
Seriously. Post your favorite band and I will tell you why they're shit.
Huh? Think you're up to it?
this is so much fucking better than ITCOTCK holy shit
larks = islands > discipline > red > starless and bible black > lizard > in the court > three of a perfect pair > the power to believe = thrak > beat > in the wake of poseidon > the construkction of light
What albums don't get enough recognition on /mu/?
ive never been so split on an album, without question bastard is better but with this, on one hand tyler has all of the extremely personal lyrics, creative ways of expressing himself, but on the other hand the production is bad and whenever tyler says something thats violent or bad he immediately reminds us that "its just creative expression" which is basically just saying "I want to say outrageous and violent things but not get backlash for it"
so really I just can't make heads or tails of this record
itt first track worst track
If you have any of these albums on your AOTY list you have irredeemable shit taste
ITT we post good albums from otherwise shitty bands
Can you guys rec me albums like this?
Like the lack of percussion and beautiful melodies
Can you guys rec me some good spooky autumn music? Pic related is sort of a good example of what I'm looking for but I'd like some folk stuff and shoegazey stuff and metal stuff seperately.
>Daniel Craig, Channing Tatum, Adam Driver and now THIS
Hey guys I made a thread here the other day;
tl;dr I'm a high school student (yes im 18), and I've written a deep neural network (computer program that emulates a group of neurons) that has learned how to write rap songs when fed some rap songs. The songs it writes are influenced by the songs you feed it.
Someone in the last thread said:
>feed it some deep as fuck Lil B lyrics
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
What does /mu/ think about AOTY?
What's the best contemporary prog has to offer?
What does /mu/ think about Damon albarn?
Is it true that The Glowing Man is Donald Trump?
Wow. I had to show my kids... They are really into this kind of thing; cringe humor.
That prancy dance as song began reminded me of the Dude's landlord in The Big Lewbowsky... Ya know, his dance recital? LoL
I can't watch live TV cringe, I just can't. I don't knwo why. I can watch youtube cringe, candid cringe, produced and edited badness that's so cringe it's cringe, but I can't watch/hear live radio, live TV, or live concert cringe.
I can't watch this. I started to watch it but I can't.
rec, rate, assume things, hav a good time
you prefer the summer, you play like the sims often
likes to do the laundry
spends way to much time alone
listens to most music during the night
ITT: Underrated albums by overrated bands
FUCKING YES, this is the shit. So many great tracks on this album. Brian Jones and Ian Stewart did a fucking great job.
Give me an album that is better than this.
Protip: You can't
heres an actual good album by the same band. Well kind of, two other people played on this album
Which artist/Band has the most autistic following on /mu/?
just bc u have a shitty music taste it's not a coincidence most of the board likes grimes
What are some of your favorite Rock Operas /mu/? Only the types that follow a storyline.
>Pic maybe related
any more like this?
You've listened to everything else by Grandaddy, right? It's all great, even the two new reunion songs.
Sparklehorse, Thee More Shallows, Super Furry Animals, and some Mercury Rec and Flaming Lips are similar.
Wives of Farmers is the saddest song I've ever heard in my entire life.
>any more like this?
Bluffer's Guide to the Flight Deck is pretty similar
It's pretty good but Sense and Forbidden don't go anywhere and Fever isn't a very good closing track. Especially with that awful guitar lead. Memory, Anxiety and Stimulation are all amazing though
>implying rock can be art
I'm listening to pic related and I thinking I'm finally understanding noise music now. I think it's clicked for me now.
How did you get into noise music?
What are more albums that have super jangly guitar like macy boy? Or just good chillwave/jangle records
maybe dick diver
go betweens get called jangle pop, they aren't all jangly all the time but did have some damn good songwriting and were a solid pop band in general
what went right
Getting tired of the memes. Over the course of today, I'm going to listen to and review every album on this chart.
