post some fuckin yorkies
So I just listened to this for the first time and I'm finally really fucking interested in Swans.
Tried a couple times to get into them but it never really worked out. Not that I didn't like it, but I never really cared too much to ever delve back into it. But ever since listening to this, it's all I can think about. Where do I go from here?
Sup OP, try 'Soundtracks for the Blind' because that's a similar era to this, if you like that try 'The Seer' and 'To be kind', if your looking for something more with the post punk sound try 'White light from the mouth of infinity' and if your enjoying the gritty no wave sound try 'Cop' or 'Filth' hope this helps
Body To Body, Job To Job isn't on this chart for some reason, but definitely check that out too. It's a rawer and grittier sounding version of Cop. Either way, have fun
If you need downloads for their weirder stuff, PM me on Soundcloud... I tried posting a link but I keep getting a message that says "our system thinks this is spam"
Post every record that you know that for you resembles TMR in some way
I would love it if they are more underground so that I have to actually have to check them out
For me that would be Uncle Meat - similar humor, similar spoken word passages, similar melodies (the blimp is recorded over a mother's track for example)
Enjoy the vibrantly red image
Rank them in order of talent
Artists whos best work is their least appreciated.
Radiohead is a normie band enjoyed by normie people
I kind of regret making that thread earlier about a particular album that i think is overrated in rym.
After all, the rym charts are not made for my liking, and of course it will have many albums that i think are rated way too highly, everyone have different opinion and taste.
I think i should have expressed my opinion, but i think the way i did it did not emphasize the fact that i respect whatever ratings RYM comes up with, since it was not made to reflect my opinion, but the average of the opinions of many people.
CAN WE GET MUCH HIGHER?
everything about this album is great except the lyrics, they are just mediocre. had someone else wrote it for them, or they got a new rapper entirely, it probably would have been real solid.
Why are The Beatles looked up to so much? I don't get what makes them so special
Is this any good or do they sound like Bon Jovi again?
Memeing aside, this album is literally and objectively god tier
post the song lyrics that are stuck in your head at this very moment
So it's settled then? We all agree that this is the new /mu/core?
>2 Oasis albums
>/mu/'s latest unfunny meme
I dunno what to say, OP.
Sleep is objectively the best Post-Rock song
Okay. I am just happy that other people like post-rock :D
So I've decided to treat myself to a new pair of headphones this Christmas, but I'm torn between two pairs at the moment.
I've had a pair of AKG Q701's for about a year now, and I think that they're excellent, but I find them to be rather quiet, and they're cumbersome, yet in places, frail design makes me feel like I have to be careful with them at all times. This is where I come to an impasse; I have my eyes on a pair of K702's as a suitable upgrade, but I really don't want to deal with the same issues that I'm having with my current pair, which is why I'm considering getting myself a pair of Blue MoFi's. The problem with my second choice is that I don't have any experience with Blue. On a slightly different note, I might wait until after I get back from CES to buy a pair, because I might find something I really like there.
So, /mu/, what pair do you think I should get, AKG k702 or Blue MoFi? Or is there another pair that you absolutely swear by? I'd really appreciate some feedback.
