Jackie & Wilson - Hozier
Are these good?
>it's summertime. mid-june.
>the sky is blue, it's warm, and there's a slight breeze.
>you're sitting outside in a comfy chair, while your hot neighbor next door washes her car.
>some kids are playing with water guns in the street
>you have zero responsibilities that day, no appointments, day off of work, etc.
What would you be listening to?
I'm in Florida for my grandmother's funeral right now, and it's basically what you just described minus about 20 degrees, so the kids aren't out playing.
I'm listening to the GY!BE discography on shuffle with Swans - The Seer and To Be Kind in there as well. It's beautiful.
You can deny it all you want, but this guy was almost completely irrelevant before he died
>embedded album art
>Album art is a single shot of the all of the band members
>band members are all facing different directions
>Just bought a Korg R3
>No prior experience with Keyboards
>Want to make chill, dancey music similar to Twin sister.
Can any of you guys point me in the right direction as to where I should start learning? I've been looking up chord shapes and learning those but I don't know how to achieve the sound I desire.
I'm looking for something with the pace of slowcore, the sensibilities of darker gothic post punk bands or industrial or no wave. Something which sounds like your mind wandering, when you're alone and anxious in an abandoned house. Something intimate, and something that would never sound good played in a large group of people or in front of an audience.
You know, think SPK, Christian Death, Joy division, Loren Mazzacane Connors, Deux Filles, Bedhead, Low, Ilyas Ahmed, Throbbing gristle, Manic Street Preachers. Have a Nice Life doesn't count.
The Klinik - Melting Close + Sabotage
This is an ambient record, but it fits the mood you're looking for pretty well.
I would recommend
Loopy Ufo And The Excuse
Wishbone Of The Personality
Furious Icon And The Muppet
Chosen Valor Of The Irate Retro
Emperor Atom Of The Lusting Steam
Banana Across Nard
Was britpop better than grunge?
>Band is called Boards of Canada
>They're actually Scottish
>He's not original
Going on the road for the next three hours. Post something I should listen to on the road, I currently have nothing in my queue and can't pick something.
How about any album you like?
Other than that, Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf
Can anybody recommend music that has this scary, distorted, desperate and sarcastically positive sounding vibe to it like pic related?
Also, why doesn't casablancas stop drinking and fuckin himself up so hard? He looks like absolute shit already.
I recently into Big Black's Atomizer and Songs about Fucking.
Do you guys know where I can order the CD's?
I've been looking for a while but can't find an online shop that holds them.
I'm a eurofag btw.
Also similar artists. Where do i go next?
Rapeman (Albini's band after BB)
Suicide (drum machine+shrieking)
Les Rallizes Denudes have some guitars as piercing
Brainiac is Big Black on synthy madness
Order the CDs online thru Discogs or directly from their label Touch and Go
what's the most wrong pitchfork have ever been?
>inb4 who cares about their scores
Overly cluttered with filler and such type of electronic music with the le crazy percussion meme are the soulless wank of electronic music. Score is deserved.
Review is terribly written, but that album is actually nothing original and just stealing ideas from the guys in Chicago.
Been trying to find this song that the neighbors play when they toke.
Recorded a sample of me whisteling the tune.
Warning; Potato quality and loud.
