What's that destroy all monsters album?
You have a lot of music I don't recognize, can you share information regarding some of it?
Yes, in this lineup, is the most talented rock band to ever exist. Each member could be argued to be the best player in rock for their instrument and the music was sublime. Prove me wrong
I don't know about Jon Anderson, his vocals annoy me.
Chris Squire on the other hand blew Entwistle, Rutherford, McCartney and whoelse out of the water.
Steve Howe is great, but not the best at the time.
>Yes, in this lineup, is the most talented rock band to ever exist.
That lineup was ace but probably not really the most talented rock band to ever exist. These things are hard to prove/quantify.
name my psych-fuzz band
ITT post albums that make you miss your bæ
this ep and their other single has been getting played non-stop by me lately
Are The Tallest Man On Earth's lyrics too cryptic?
They don't need to mean anything other than an impressionistic way to define a feeling
You can pick into a general theme in his songs but his individual lyrics focus more on harnessing an image or a feeling relating to that theme rather than linear, straight forward story-telling/'hand holding'
his songs are good and his lyrics don't need to be easily interpreted to be understood on a visceral level
ITT the moment someones career ended.
Pleb here. How do I get into Jazz?
I enjoy listening to it, want to built a nice collection and knowledge and impress bitches and coworkers.
But where do I start?
If you seriously don't have any jazz albums, try Kind of Blue by Miles Davis you pleb.
>The best way of receiving recommendations on /mu/ is by making conversation with people in threads and then just asking what they would recommend. Most people will be willing to drop you a few artists or albums to look up.
What Sigur Ros albums apart from pic related do you guys consider good?
What's your drug of choice when listening to music?
ITT: One Hit Wonders
Bands/artists that got only one song that's actually any good.
Pic couldn't be more related, everything else they put out is utter garbage.
>In case you don't recognize from the pic:
>everything else they put out is utter garbage.
jesus fucking christ i've seen some bad opinions in my time but this is definitely worth some kind of accolade
worst opinion of the month maybe
Now that's she's quitting music after next year's tour, do you think she'll ever come back?
Well, that was predictable.
Fun facts from part 4:
>The most voted on poll was Kendrick/Bjork, with 198 total votes. Kendrick won by 58.
The albums are simply a consolidation of various publications' AOTY lists, I didn't choose them. Also I know that the bracket is wonky, the list order was randomized which I now realize was a bad idea but oh well, which is why the Jenny Hval pick seems out of place compared to albums like OPN's or Joanna's that were eliminated early. Now I know better for next time.
I was hoping the outcome wouldn't be so predictable, and just a few rounds ago it looked like things would be shaken up, but here we are.
Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell
Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly
Well /mu/, this is it. We had a great time together. We memed, we listened to some nice tunes, we called Fantano a melon and Kendrick fans kucks and pasted MC Ride's face on everything. Every second here was a mix of laughing friendly joy with a sense of desperation and pessimism for the human condition. But now I must depart. I'm going into an adventure to put together the album that will be my magnum opus. Think the child of love between "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" and "Pulse Demon". I must now take my gear, knowledge and willpower with me...
