So the Julia Holter album that's been getting all the praise. I can't seem to like it at all; it's pretty, but it's kind of boring. Am I just not getting this album or does anyone else feel this way?
The lyrics are actually very well written, take a closer listen. Then pair the meanings with the overall sound and flow of the album. Personally, I was on the brink of tears towards the end.
Why are all white artists so fucking liberal and self-hating...
Holy shit, this is the most generic, boring alt rock album I've ever heard. Why is it so highly regarded and put to the same light as Nirvana or Alice in Chains?
As was with you until you implies Alice and Chains and Nirvana were good.

It was cool to hate on him during his early 2009-2010 days but now he's matured and is dropping some good music.
So now that the dust has settled, can we all agree that this album is the best album of 2015?
What does this album do right? What does it do wrong?
