Rate, recommend, and all that fun stuff
looking for more jungle/breakcore/etc.
Best artists to check out are Squarepusher, 4hero, Omni Trio, LTJ Bukem, Goldie, Spring Heel Jack, Amon Tobin, Plug, A Guy Called Gerald, T Power, Roni Size, Photek, James Hardway, Adam F, Boymerang, and Source Direct
I'm trying to identify a band I saw on 4chan a few years ago.
It is a trio, one guitarist, one drummer (both white) with a black guy lead singer. Pretty sure the lead singer has a ton of tattoos.
IIRC, the bands music is lyrically hiphop, but sung in guttural screams (death metal style)
This is all I can remember of them, they seemed pretty underground and I have searched but to no avail.
MUH classic pothardcore/mathrock album. Lets finally call this what this really is, the inspiration for the worst rock genres of the 00s-today. Emo and Screamo.
I'm really into Joanna Newsom, Vashti Bunyan, and Andrew Bird.
Can I get some singer-songwriter recs?
Once upon a time in Norway Edition
old thread >>69443983
can I get a good mixing board for under 500 dollars? I'd like to make music independently as one man band.
Oh look, it's Keith Richards shitting on other artists again
is this the official tier list
He really did it guys! Sure it's only a 6 track E.P. but Childish Gambino has released one of the best records of the year.
I heard he had more tracks but didn't think they were up to a high enough standard. Either because the production and instrumentation was muddeled, his voice couldn't do quite what he wanted or they were just poorly written. Apparently his record company was pissed as he was contracted for a full LP but he's going to work on the salvageable tracks he missed out for his next release. A small price to pay for artistic integrity....

When did the music start?

Check out Forndom- Daudra Dura
Check out Terry Callier- What Color Is Love
I know this is a music board, but I guess it's also the culture board of the chin
Youtube was the last pure movement of culture. From 2006-2009 it was unregulated, and produced pure organic exciting art.
Anybody else nostalgic for this period?
Prove me wrong
I want to expand my goth horizons. What's some good goth music?
Siouxsie and the Banshees
>I kill children, I love to see them die
>I kill children and make their mamas cry
>Crush 'em under my car, I want to hear them scream
>Feed 'em poison candy to spoil their Halloween
What did he mean by this?
Lets make a memerap thread cause fuck you why not
I CHIMED IN
the bass is obviously an integral to their sound too
Let's fill a noise pop chart. Post god tier noise pop
The first Pains of Being Pure at Heart is pretty great. Also there was a lot of noise pop revival stuff from around 2008-2010 that might have a place on the chart. I know No Age had a good album or two. Times New Viking was alright as well. What about the first Sleigh Bells record?
Anybody else hyped as fuck?
>Run The Jewels - Legend Has It
>Run The Jewels - 2100 feat. BOOTS
>Run The Jewels - Talk To Me
lyrically they're getting stale

GOT A REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY NICE COCK
A friend sent this to me a while ago. I'm not saying this because I don't like it or anything because it sounds fine I guess but all of his music literally sounds the same. Like he recycles shit a lot.
I have every swans album and none of them are as brutal as this one. Kill the Child was the closest to sounding like it. What are some other albums that are as intense as this one
idk what happened
but this used to be intense for me. Now I laugh everytime i imagine gira performing this live
probably hitting himself and making a bunch of silly faces
MONEY IS FLESH IN YOUR HANDDDDDDDDDDD
gira is so funny
New albums from J. Cole, Ab-Soul, Charles Hamilton, Hody Beats and Mos Def.
expect a song about him getting his first kiss and get cucked by some football player blah blah
dude third eyeeeeeeeeeee
> Charles Hamilton
decent release probably
> Mos Def
washed up dumbass
black on both sides is a classic tho
I think they have the most chance of being good but I'm also excited for Ab-Soul and Hodgy honestly (I was never a Hodgy fan or OF in general but I really liked both singles from this album).
What's the best medieval-sounding music?
We can all agree this is a great album overall right?
>has spent millions of dollars on equipment
>knows more about music than majority of musicians on earth
>rants over and over how hes tried of skrillex and diplo making shitty music
>releases another 5/10 album
Is having "good taste" just a meme? Why are we supposed to believe a couple of snobs who agree that some low budget independent album is a masterpiece when their opinion is in the minority?
Wouldn't it make more sense for us to agree that the most popular music is technically the best because the most people like it?
Because music can objectively be good or bad.
Just because YOU like it doesn't make it good or bad, but the way someone makes music reflects talent, effort and creativity, if it sounds like shit and you like it, it still is shit.
In argumentation theory, an argumentum ad populum (Latin for "appeal to the people") is a fallacious argument that concludes that a proposition is true because many or most people believe it: "If many believe so, it is so."
This type of argument is known by several names, including appeal to the masses, appeal to belief, appeal to the majority, appeal to democracy, appeal to popularity, argument by consensus, consensus fallacy, authority of the many, bandwagon fallacy, vox populi, and in Latin as argumentum ad numerum ("appeal to the number"),...
