>Hey anon what song are you listening to?
Shitty Garbage Garage Punk.
>a song you really like automatically reminds you of a bad memory
GOD DAMN IT
THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME
MY FUCKING *broken* BRAIN DOES THIS ON PURPOSE
>tfw you're life isn't interesting enough to have memories associated to songs
Hi /mu/, I'm going to a party tomorrow and I want the BEST fucking party music there is. I'm gonna bring my DJ board so I wanna play good shit. Post your best stuff. Any genre is fine.
this is a pop music thread.
if you dont like pop then dont start a conversation about how bad it is. nobody cares. go put your dick in a million different threads about Death Grips
just because I don't like "pop" doesn't mean I like Death Grips.. that's pretty rude
and i say "pop" like that because I don't like modern radiopop but I like Shugo Tokumaru for example. It's kinda pop too isn't it.
What's wrong with this album? I really liked it for the first 2 listens, but now I've listened to it for the third time, and I was bored, I'm afraid to listen to it again
Do not listen to it again
It's the musical equivalent of chasing the dragon, it's just an ok album overall but the first time hearing it is an experience. I cannot even tell you the toll it took on my mental health, constantly rewinding the best part of In the Flowers and the first two minutes of Brother Sport, just to get that "high" again.
Almost everything in their discography has more substance.
>post-rock band sampling eerie monologues
>vocalist's voice breaks during emotional song
Lots of NSBM albums. Kristallnacht - Warspirit is incredible and has the most amazing synths I've heard in Black Metal.
Where the fuck do I start with them
Just gave this a listen for the first time, and truly, all I can say, is...
I take it you faggots only like this album because of
>le aesthetic artwork xDDD
or some other dumb meme reason, right? Please say yes. The vocalist sounds like an asthmatic Down syndrome patient and the instrumentals of the VAST majority of these songs could have been conceived by a 6-year-old child of below average intelligence.
Don't even get me started on the lyrics to these songs, it sounds like something an edgy suicidal homosexual...

Hey, /mu/, I have an idea.
Would anyone be interested in doing a collaboration to create some form of sub-genre of vaporwave, essentially vaportrap that incorporates actual musical skills and not just sample-based shit? We can call it something retarded like 420AUTISMWAVEマリファナ
I basically use major and minor 7ths and 9ths, and we could combine our own talents to make something pretty cool, something /mu/ can call its own.
Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.
Hey /mu/ I've had a pretty bad day
What do you guys listen to well having a not great day?
Could you guys recommend something?
>demo version is better than album version
Since Frank isn't releasing another album shall we discuss Channel Orange?
Second try (:
Is he the best indie frontman of the 15 years?
>Unpopular opinions thread
No More Parties In La is the best Kanye song
Here's an actually unpopular opinion: No More Parties in La sucks ass and most of the album does except for Real Friends. Also, CD, LR, MBDTF and to an extent Yeezus are his only good albums.
America had the better bands, albums, songs, had a wider influence, even had the better fashion and message and Punk is a now an established foundation of music in America. All punk was in the UK was a circus, like most of their trends.
Pic related is mine. It just has such a gentle and chill feeling. It just makes me want to jump in a hippie van and roam the countryside. Plus I have pretty bad anxiety and I've always been soothed by this album when I'm feeling upset. I really love it.
How does /mu/ feel about Anthony Fantano?
Why does /mu/ have the worst memes out of all the boards on this site?
Because you're all of a bunch of hipster liberal niggers who wouldn't know a meme from a dick. Come over to /tv/ for some real memes.
Give me some more mysterious musicians like Nick Drake and Robert Johnson.
He was a 400-pound heroin addict from Chicago that made some of the best soul you will ever hear and little is truly known about him aside from a few pictures at random gigs and music festivals. He died in 1970 at the age of 26 through a drug-related heart attack in a Chicago motel room. He was making music with Curtis Mayfield and was signed to his label when he died and was set to become a seriously, seriously big deal (pun intended) in the world of music.
This is his story.
Never seen Elton talked about on /mu/. How do you guys feel about him?
I CHIME IN WITH A
ITT: Memes of /mu/
This shit is already a fucking classic.
>First 2 minutes of the song is a recording of random people chatting away at a party
this is objectively the best punk rock album of all time.
The only album that's gotta be posted right now is Zen Arcade and we're gonna have the complete holy trinity of punk for people who don't know anything about punk in the house.
50 years ago today, the greatest rock album of all time came out.
we've either wasted 50 years not topping this album or convincing ourselves that it cannot be topped.
no matter the reason, that is sad
There needs to be more of this
