rapper from perth australia.
Prefer you listen to the second track from the top as the first one is a blooper reel.
sounds pretty full to me man, dont know much about dnb though but good work
new track up, enjoy
I listened to Elizabeth. Some notes don't really fit in the scale you're playing in. If you're relying on your ears, you should try learning a bit of theory in order to write fitting melodies over your bassline/chords. Your drums hit hard though.

>chill hip-hop beats, guaranteed to make you bounce, new york old-school.
I'm influenced by Metal Fingers (DOOM), Madlib and Dilla. Thank you, guys!
IDK how you'll take this but it all sounds like it could be the soundtrack to something. In a good way, some of it reminds of video game menu music.
>sample based hip hop
>Agressive, fast-paced noisy hip-hop instrumentals inspired by cyberpunk & Japan.
>Just uploaded some new stuff.
lol thanks. There was a surprising amount of thought and consideration that went into it. The psychology of creating a name that is instantly recognizable, draws the eye, is memorable, and makes you stop for a second can really help you.
I started out calling myself something different, that was sci fi DJ sounding. Never got any work.
Became Twice as Naked, changed my image from dark black and blues, to white and hot pink, and began adding cleverly hidden nudity, and within a year I got a publishing deal with Perpetual and content providers started sync licensing my stuff left and right lol.
>one of my other pics
That's a compliment!
I'm a commercial artist, I specifically make music for films, video games, tv, and commercials.
This song is currently licensed for a commercial, but I haven't got the schedule A yet so I don't know what for. I'm hoping its a Zales Diamond commercial.
New track i just put up. Bubblegum pop as all hell. the god damn jam
I'll return comments
Just some random commercials and stuff. I've done menu screen music for a few mobile games nothing huge.
The Italian soap opera Un Posto Al Sole used one of my tracks for a night club scene.
Nothing huge so far like major car commercials or movie openings, but I was only recently signed to Perpetual like 2 months ago so there will be a lot more to come.
I like what i'm hearing! And Templates brings me back to the good old Happy Hardcore days, sweet sweet nostalgia.
I'd personally put a little more ambient/synths in the background of the songs but maybe i'm just too much of a synth addict lol

Any feedback for my stuff? Indie/rock/folk stuff.
Just put up a 4 track EP
>deep/progressive/electro house of some sort
Not bad all I would say is work on some sound design to give some of the synths have more depth and give a bit more attention for a cleaner mix. The composition part of it is good though.
new improv track
Really nice, digging the speed towards the end
Pretty good i like the rough sound of the guitar.
To me Black Beak Void sounds kind of like a really sad The National, bretty good.
Really nice, followed!
Will return feedback, i have a new track up:
>soundtrack, piano, atmospheric.
I do a bit of everything genre wise, have a look through my profile.
A range of electronic music
>chill hip hop / lax beats
>stonery sludgey riff worship guitars
>some smooth mellow chill guitars
this is some heavy shit. i mean heavy feels, not heavy sound. intense stuff, i like it
guitars sound good man, really dig it. maybe missing a bit of presence but thats just my tastes. i think theres waaaay to much verb on the vocals in "all you see" and "in the dark", but again thats my tastes, up to you if you like it in the end. too much reverb can cover up the subtleties, of which your voice has plenty and i would like to hear it moar.
smooth and chill, love it man. not my thing but i'd listen to this for sure.
>house, garage, deep house, electronic, trap etc.
The quality on vocaroo is pretty goddamn bad, but I don't have a soundcloud so it will have to suffice
Any suggestions, particularly on how to keep the ball rolling?
>instrumental hip hop
>deep house, dark electronic, bass
new tune just up and one up the other day, feel my production has improved a lot but would love some feedback
anyway give it a spin and enjoy
Posted this in the last thread, interested to see what people think.
Improvised Synth and Drum jam, using an 80s Korg DW 8000.
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this but here we go:
It's difficult to leave feedback for people in this thread due to the sheer amount of links posted. I feel shitty when I leave feedback and my links get none. But I understand people aren't being dicks and it's just the nature of the thread.
Any solutions? I will be leaving as much feedback as I can.
I clicked on a heap of links and listened to a bunch of tracks. I found so many people with <20 followers and fuck all listens, and I'm pretty sure none of those people came here to listen to anyone elses shit. They just posted their stuff and fucked off. These threads suck man.
Post-rock that gets poppy and also heavy.
I leave feedback on Soundcloud, usually I pick people who have made a lot of comments so there's a good chance they'll return feedback. If it's on soundcloud then it'll still be there when the thread 404s
>electronic jazzy funky groovy pop
>acoustic reverbed something
Wanted to take a small break from electronic stuff.
Did you make that instrumental? It's pretty dreamy. However, I think your flow needs work. Honestly, it sounds a little unpolished. Your voice sounds a little bland and in the background, which makes me think you might be a little hesitant to rap. I want to hear what you have to say granted you are in the thread.
Not much to say about this other than you've really got your stuff together. Very distinctive sound. Although maybe it's just me being picky but a lot of your songs are pretty sharp and heavy on the high end? Beautiful work nonetheless.
I think we may suffer from the same problem of getting stuck at small clips for tracks. It sounds like you need to make your tracks progress a little more. I like the composition of your melodies and the energy in your music but a lot of your clips feel a little static. Cool stuff.
Very trippy beat but as I mentioned on SC, the drums are extremely quite. I couldn't fully make out the snare. I'd say the musical elements need to stand out more than your effects. It's drowned in very heavy vinyl distortion which isn't bad but it is masking your song overall.
I like the swing and theme of this song. However, there should be some kind of dynamics in your composition. As I mentioned on SC, alternating modulation options and effects could improve the flow of the song. It feels a little static since the same melody and what I assume to be samples cover the entirety of the song.
Are you going for the Lo-fi sound? Feels like the guitars are hidden behind a thin wall and the textures sound interesting but I can't quite make them out. Probably is what you're going for but I think the textures would be a lot more interesting if we could hear the little details (which would involve letting a little bit of the high end of the songs come through). Your soundscapes are excellent though, very dark and distant. Great selection and manipulation of vocal samples
My work isn't very polished because I'm lazy and untalented when it comes to theory and creativity. I pretty much just break down songs I like bit by bit and try to rebuild them as best I can. One of my tracks is just a bunch of formulas I gathered from listening to Marvel v Capcom arcade soundtracks.
I'm open to insults as well as constructive criticism. No criticism is bad criticism.
You're right its not very polished but for some stupid reason I like it that way. Also I know it was the shortest one but I was really diggin plant eater. I think you should do a bigger and better piece with it
Dope ass rapper tbh i just did production
baptized my beat
I don't think they're shitty. Very emotional and well thought out chords. Your sense of ambiance and progression is pretty on point and I'm a big stickler about that kind of stuff. Really loved breathing space.
I'd like to see more of your tracks have that sense of movements, the big bass in breathing space is killer.
I'd like to hear your voice. There's emotion there that goes perfectly with your guitar playing (which is very good, may I add). I would say the most important thing is to work on your pitch. Maybe that's what you're going far, but it falls off the tracks sometimes and it's a little distracting. Your emotion and energy is very solid, though.
I really like this stuff. Would you consider trading that cymbal for something a little more percussive in Love is Subservient to Death? Love that space break in the middle. Eyes Wide Open is fucking dope. However the drums do need help and the strings could evolve a little more. I'm not sure if I totally dig the movement into the other vocals, they are good, but they seem a little out of place for how dark the song starts. Dope stuff. Following.
Very dreamy track. Like I mentioned I don't have much to critique aside from a few technical gripes where I lost the voice behind the guitar. Are you working in a studio? If not, you certainly deserve it.
Holy shit. This is some real fucking Sega Genesis shit. And by that I mean very dope. I don't even know what to critique you on I like this so much.
I haven't made anything in a while because reasons, but I hope to start making some more stuff soon.
Hip Hop, Beats, Bass, Deep House, Minimal, Trap, Dubstep
Goddamn, that first track you have up bangs. You definitely brought a different energy to the original. I'm not the biggest fan of loud hi-hat rolls since they stand out a lot and distract me from the melody. I try to leave them as quite as possible, although I know that's a staple of this kind of music. You have a definite sense of style and a good hand at mixing so I don't have much to critique. Good work. Following.
The Kanye rework is pretty good despite the hi-hats being a little too loud. Your basses are pretty well put together and contained and your percussion is on point. If anything, I'd say you just need to work on your mixing/mastering a little more. It's pretty good but some of your sounds are a bit abrasive.
Blade of Grass is really awesome. very colorful stuff. Would be cool to hear the drum parts take their turns though.
I think that first drop could use a little more beef.
Maybe i'm on the wrong train here but I was thinking you were going to go into something like this:
And I know that's not very "chillstep" but fitting regardless. It's kind of an energy thing I suppose, maybe some airier pads during the drop? Anyway I do like the melody and flow of the track.
Good sense of musicality. The samples all fit together perfectly. I would like to see the song go somewhere else though. It builds up but not without baiting the listener, which I think is an integral part of a dynamic song. Great selection of sounds, and the composition is pretty good.
Vibing with Grand Prix. Excellently composed with a definite sense of identity. However there were a couple of samples that kind of stood out from the rest of the song. Around :35 there is what I assume to be some kind of old school sidestick sample which doesn't really fit. Another gripe I have is that the production leaves thickness to be desired. It's a little flat and thin and definitely needs some thickening
People need to start posting their feedback in here as well as on SC so others actualy see that its happening and follow suit. If you listen to 5/6 tracks and post feedback in the thread itself it gets the ball rolling. Its just that nobody wants to be the first! It helps if the Op themselves does that.
>music that appeals to the worst in all of us
Ran out of room. But anyway, definitely loving the sound, I'm following you.
Going to start from the bottom up now since most of the guys in the first 100 posts probably aren't around.
The first tracks opens up like a cloud. Beautiful. Wondering where you got those vocals. I feel that some of the elements are out of place, but it feels like you wanted them to clash a little bit.
Religion is very fucking cool. I've been trying to get that weird and lazy trip into some of my songs. Those pseudo-percussive hits (like that toy-winding sound) are amazing. What is that a sample of anyway? Wondering how you did it.
No major gripes here, but genuinely curious about your work process. Would not mind seeing a video of you working on a track. Followed.
Slider is very unconventional and I like that. However, the structure is hard to follow. There's no definitive direction to it. Still your sequencing and taste in sounds is pretty good.
Hail To The Toad has amazing sound selection but they seem to be scattered around. I guess it kind of suffers from the same problems Slider does, but this is just personal preference.
Overall, I'd say you could improve by being more deliberate with the direction in your songs. What kind of music are you into? Are you emulating songs or you just coming into your DAW/sequencer with a blank slate?
I don't follow the industrial scene very closely so I can't say too much. I like your melodies, they fit perfectly with the ambiance. A little harsh for me, but I know that's what you're going for. Frozen Autumn is good. Going to follow because I am interested in this sound, I haven't done much exploring in that field.
This is dope man. That guy on the first verse, his flow is disgusting. Good beat to ride to as well. The flip at 1:40 is amazing. I like that the rapper followed along (unless that was your idea). I'd like to hear a little more mastering on the beat though.
I try to keep the thread alive by actually trying to listen and analyze the song with open ears. I'm not very educated as far as production and music theory goes but I try to remain honest and weigh the pros and cons of every song. I hope it inspires people to take these threads a little more seriously because otherwise we're just complimenting each other after listening to a single track.
It renders the thread pointless at that point.
>trip-hop, microhouse, r&b relations
The way that sample is mixed sounds like the backing track to a hip-hop skit, and not an actual track. Like a little ditty before the real beat comes in. I dig the drum pattern, but sounds like it's floating over the sample instead of with it.
Digging the syncopation of those snares. Kick sounds a little buried, when those pads come in this shit gets poppin.
That first guy tho, and the first stanza of the second guy were dope af. I like the lofi feel of this beat but the mcs sounded a little pasted on.
>Bedroom, Sunbaked, Baked, Yellingy, Lo-fi, "Indie", One Man, Oooohs and Ahhhhs and shit
I put up a new sort of surf sounding track the other day. I wrote and recorded and uploaded it on a whim, so it sort of lacks a bass end, but if it sounds like something you'd be into you should check it out.
Channeling myself through my guitar. It has shitty quality, simply because I recorded it through a desktop microphone. Maybe one day I will buy better recording equipment. Also drums are all sampled, so they sound pretty unnatural : /
Please give some feedback, advice, what you like and hate. Thanks.
Even a listen is appreciated.
I always feed back feedback.
Your voice is good for rapping. I think that's less than a compliment than it is a fact. Some rappers are good but their voices are no good, and they're doomed, but you got no worries there. The flow is really fitting to the track, too. The rhythm and pace of the wording is perfect to the instrumental. Good job, man.
I have a soft spot for puppies, too, so check me out.
Also, shout out to the janitor for being a cunt

Made this in two months, sampled a lot of things from indie bands and mostly movie scores.
Sampled, The Shins, Jon Brion, Soundtracks include: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Place Beyond the Pines, and more. Tell me what you think!
To answer your question, yeah, I do come in with a blank slate. I really like both ambient synth music, like stuff that you'd drive to, but I also like really hard-hitting, powerful synth. I know everyone says this, but I love Daft Punk and not just for their costumes. The way each synthtune is so memorable, that's what I love.
do you have to follow back? I don't expect anyone to follow back unless they strictly say "Follow back". Also, it's hard to tell whether some unrelated person to this thread is the one following me if I don't recognize the name, you know?
This is a link to my newest track, a bootleg of A Little Respect by Erasure. Synthwave/Electronic, very inspired by 80s music, the night sky, and space. Check it out, I'm really proud of it!
