Soundcloud thread, get in here. I'll be listening and commenting for a bit, so stay a while and do the same!
>chillwave, dreampop, hypnagogic pop
in 2:08 i completely tripped the fuck.
i've been listening to vaporwave for a little while and i'm diggin' it.
>dreambeats, bedroom, lofi
Really cool. Loved the sloshy water sounds in the background.
>MetalStep, Robostep?, other

im digging on reverse midas
thank you! its my first attempt at such a style
Twice as Naked
>experimental electronic, chill, idm, industrial, lots of different styles
>drum & bass
>Trap and "Sadboys" shit
there is a long fade in and you can just skip to 0:30 secs to get to the real deal
That's some really chill stuff I like it. The relaxing electronic stuff is what I'm into.
I'm Twice as Naked
thanks man. it's just a water bottle being tilted with the beat. enjoying your ep so far. very well produced stuff. was that you playing guitar on the opening track?
cheers dude glad you dig it. Whats the source sample on the song you posted anyway?
I return feedback
>debut album + demos
>tell me why these suck i thought they were pretty okay
>mom didn't like it
>looks at me
>"wtf is this shit u little oneohtrix point faggot"
>tfw your mom thinks your avante garde IDM sux
Cool stuff. I like your song Good Things Come to Those Who Sleep. It reminds me of some old songs by The Decemberists sort of.
I'm Twice as Naked.
>classical, melodious, ambient
>downtempo, beatdriven field recordings with piano.
I'll be commenting in this thread on peoples stuff, just dropping my link first!
>crunchy, gloomy doom metal
Now with 50% less calories!
I really never have any idea what to say about Vaporwave. It's such an obscure genre to me, I don't really understand what production goes into it aside from heavy sampling. It sounds nice, but i'm just unsure on what you have actually done exactly, excuse my ignorance.
Dstant Flckering is fat as hell when the bass comes in. The vocal sampling is pretty rad, and yeah that bass is just lovely. Feeling this man.
You Too is pretty interesting, not my usual listening, I prefer simplicity in melody and chords but the vocals make this track really impressive. Solid mix and reasonably good vibes on it! Nice.
Army Wife is sweeeet. Really catchy tune and the filtering is pretty cool. The vocals are tasty, if that's you singing you have a wonderful voice. This is pretty much radio worthy material.
This is me.
Going Home Without You is, well, amazing. Haha, no other way to put it. That sidechain is rad and the melodic aspects draw me in. I am your new biggest fan.
I have some really nice monitors and I tested your top track on both, the high end is pretty nasty, really harsh. The composition is impressive, not my usual listening but you seem to be musically on the ball so good job!
Tommy is a definite IDM track, really intricate beats and rhythms. The low/mids are a little muddy but overall it's a good track. The glitches are well placed and tastefully executed.
This is me.
The track could be a lot louder, but the instruments are sad as hell. Has an old school MGS1 type vibe going on with those vocal pads.
Ebb & Flow reminds me of Radiohead, pretty depressing sound. The mix is decent, and the vocals are nice. The lyrics are impressive as well. Good work.
Harsh is intense man, really experimental stuff by the sounds of it. Almost noise, but with a rhythm. Actually has me on edge a lot, especially combined with that picture you used.
Thanks for the repost too :)
Candlelight is like something from a modern Zelda game. Love the strings, some really great composition work here.
This is me.
>hazy trap beat
>sample based beats
aw thanks man and yeh thats me singing. you've got some really sweet stuff going yourself.just finished listening to the lot and i think oceanic is probably my favorite. really does give that maritime feel with those strings and i really love that warping vocal synth towards the end. a lot of interesting and well executed ideas in all your tracks though followed for sure
That Kick needs some EQ, cut out some of that boxy 200-300hz and boost the lower end a little more, maybe cut a bit of the 10k range too!
That's just my opinion. Nice rhythm though.
The synths are lovely, the rhythm is pretty cool for the kick drum as well. 808 snare is nice and crunchy as well. Good work, more of a fan of the clean drums than the melodic side. Overall nice track!
Some really nice soundscaping in those reversed cymbal sounding effects. Reminds me of being outside near a set of chimes. Quite unnerving to be honest. Sounds a bit like David Firths work.
This is me.
Hives, nice vibe :)
suits my mood
Boards of Canada/reminiscent :)
>gtr/etc our 1st song
All of your views and pondering thoughts shall be subjugated towards being metaphysically rendered into a cluster of compact electrons and subsequently rendered into my future projects in one form or another. So think wisely.
I forgot I used to do ambient trip-hopish stuff.
I listened to "suneater" and really enjoyed it. The guitar work is so lovely and the vocal delay is just right.
This stuff is really pretty. Nice vibe, reminds me of Lapalux. Percussion is good, and the string pads are even better.
Very very good. The tension and release is well put together whenever the percussion drops in and out of the mix. The higher piano notes have a lovely attack that make them sound more like a music box. Great mix too.
Your kick drums are absolutely on point, the samples you've chosen suit the additional sounds well. These all seem very well thought out. My only issue is that some of your hats are a tiny bit too loud in the mix sometimes for me, but that's just one guys opinion.
The thumbtack and the snail is very chill. Incredibly smooth sounds and almost like something form a fairy tale. Love the plucked higher notes. Well produced too, love it!
Me by the way.
>melancholy hip-hop, japan
trying some new stuff out, just bought a fretless
>weird mathy jazz jams
>just some riff I played around with, mostly for fun
>kind of heavy (no distortion or that kind)
>just heavy feeling
oh yeah already listened commented and followed but fuck it here's some bonus since you were really the hero of the thread. in forever forgotten that 808 cowbell or perc sound cutting off the bass is awesome. like i gotta fight myself to not steal that idea because i really like it. and yeah loved the atmosphere of everything, extremely soothing throughout. very clean production too
don't get too bothered about the lack of returned feedback man. what goes around comes around but it's not always immediate
Thank you man! Ahhh it's not stealing, call it inspiration haha.
Yeah I suppose i'm just dissapointed because I wanted there to be a nice discussion in this thread so I tried to get some rolling and nothing really happened.
Most people drop their link and run though, it's getting worse and worse.
glad i've got your blessing now haha thanks
yeah it's a bummer but it's almost expected with the summer influx. you really can't expect anything to happen. also considering how quickly most these threads get deleted i think people have little faith in the thread still existing five minutes later
>EDM, atmo, soundtrack etc..
Will always return feedback with follows and listens
Much love /mu/

>lo-fi synth sheit
pic related, the background i use on my daw for inspiration
I opened for Yung Lean in Vancouver a couple weeks ago and im finally putting some demo stuff out on private, but i wanna share it with moo :^)
How do you do your recordings? 'Cause I love your material, and if you had a good condenser mic and maybe some more detailed mixing, this stuff would sound radical.
Experimental, Dark, Atmospheric, Wonky, Synth, whatever electronic shit I feel like doing at the time
I return all follows and feedback on SC! I'm new to producing music let me know what you think guys.
>Rock out Cock out
Gonna pick some random soundclouds and offer some critiquing (mixing wise),
Thanks, I appreciate it
atm I'm just using my phones voice memos app, I'm literally recording this stuff on a toaster
i'd like to eventually invest in some good recording equipment. i think i've looked at condenser miss before but its the idea of music programs that overwhelm me so i'm sort of stuck in a comfort zone of recording with said toaster.
Bumping some indie/rock
Those guitar lines In Indolent and We all feel lost some times are really nice. Are those samples or did you record all those? Really like the artwork for your songs too man. All around chill vibe and I dig the 80's style beat you have too.
Thanks man really appreciate the compliments, nah no samples at all I just think you get more creative control over everything. Yeah sadly most of them aren't mine hehehehehe. I'm glad you dig it man, really makes my day.
Saturating Soundcloud threads with this video I edited for the artist TRANCE.BIZ
>beautiful old scifi biz
The second part to Only. Desperation. Hits strangely hard. The style you have is hard to place but I like all the different sounds you have and change ups. Really makes the tracks interesting.
>post-grunge, Pop-punk, Heavy lucifer
