Hey /mu/, what's your music player look like?
No cleaning up or changing anything allowed.
question: does musicbee have an option to consolidate all your music into one folder like itunes does
Looks like this
>not sorting albums by artist > year
death grips is great but what the fuck is that layout
you have some great records in there though . what do you think of arthur russell?
like the layout
looks perfect for dg
that twigs album just clicked for me, it's pretty great
you could do a little to clean this up
nice and clean, i like it, although it's cut off at the top right
Are you sure there was an update? Last update according to the site is in March.
Do you mean an autosorter for your filesystem, or within the application itself? I know Musicbee can autosort all your music into one place on your hard drive if that is what you mean. Check the preferences under library - Organization. I believe that was it. I turned it off because I like to manually organize my music folders and such.
Also here is mine. I love it. Basically everything I could ever ask from a musicplayer and is far superior to itunes. I liked itunes, but it had no features and ran like absolute garbage. Hated foobar...2simple4me, and >Winamp. Found musicbee and never went back. This shit has so many features. I can organize my music on my phone, autotag, it is so fucking great.
I just hate the search function doesn't seem to work nearly as well, but oh well.
Well, its literally a basic layout, except the shit on the bottom left panel.
The VU meter and Oscilloscope are pretty useless.
However the Waveform Seek bar is pretty helpful for seeing how the song progresses and skipping around.
Also got to have dat spectrogram, also it helps locate small sounds playing in the song, which would be hard with just listening.
> dat rs
I use spotify premium atm but I'd like to see if anyone has any better alternatives.
>Playlists or similar
>A streaming service
>Available on an android phone
Would greatly appreciate any suggestions!
Been trying to rearrange my layout but I can't get anything I'm especially happy with.
I get 90 percent of my music from archives. Usually they are uploaded on mega.
Believe it or not though, I actually just grabbed something off mutracker that wasn't in the archive. The new La Roux album.
My 3rd option is rutracker which has everything but always gives me trouble getting into the website.
Otherwise I just hit up the usual suspects.
Hot damn, that looks great. I'll have to try that theme out.
A little grimdark for my tastes, but not bad.
Why? masterace reporting in.
don't worry, i've actually never listened to that cynic album
I have the album art but so many downloads come with different ways of storing their art (and I don't standardize it) and I just needed to set up Foobar to know where to look, which I just did.
What does your layout under Columns UI look like?
I'll post mine so you can see what I did for this one >>48850506
why don't you just download the artwork separately and keep it in a folder that's devoted entirely to album art? that's what i do and it works wonderfully, especially for posting album art on here.
dude it's so sick.
Dark theme and actual library management. Like, you save albums to your library and navigate it like a normal media player instead of having to save it all to playlists. Fucking useable as fuck.
I just keep the art in the folder with the music itself. Works fine.
Hmm. Sounds a lot better than what it was like when I used it last. Still won't make the switch back, but glad to see they're actually trying to be a respectable music player now.
Doing anything with that many files is going to take a long time regardless.
I'd rather have separate album art.
I might do this eventually. The issue with this is I have to rename all the album art and that seems like a hassle.
What's wrong with it besides the initial hassle of organizing it?
>I just keep the art in the folder with the music itself. Works fine.
my itunes library is inside a ton of folders, and it takes too long to get there, while i have the artwork folder in an easily accessible directory.
>I might do this eventually. The issue with this is I have to rename all the album art and that seems like a hassle.
it isn't that bad. don't do it all at once, just add the album art whenever you need to use it.
Maybe I'm not sure what you were talking about. I've seen albums where the album art is embedded in the files themselves, which is what I thought you were talking about. Were you actually talking about putting the path to the album art in the tags and having Foobar read that?
Sorry, I'm not OCD either. Maybe one day when I'm really bored I'll do what >>48851856 >>48851830 suggested.
Yeah, its a pretty cheezy genre. But it is good for gaming/dancing/working out, and I personally find the over the top silliness to be pretty enjoyable. By no means my favorite edm, but I still get down to it.

Richard Stallman would like a word with you.
With love, /g/.
Kinda wanna try out what OP has going on but I can't figure out how to do it. The only thing I don't like about mine is that I wish there was album art next to each album in the centre browser thing. I used to have it like that on my old PC but I can't remember how I did it.
Forgot: Zune is pretty fucking based.
>inb4 all those jews
I don't like that stuff though.
>implying you need an apple product to use itunes
>implying i need to exercise freedoms on a program that's only purpose is to read and play audio files when i want it to
it's like getting upset that your electric toothbrush isn't opensource and fully customizable
For any other people using MusicBee who want OP's style layout, I figured out how to get it. Get this patched version of the latest MusicBee build that includes the iTunes style expanded artwork view:
The album art is too big and I don't care for the colors. Of course it all comes down to personal taste though.
I'm listening to the single now and it sounds great, thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Ah, yeah I get you.
Unfortunately, I really like big album art and the colors were a nice change for me after switching from pic related, which was my layout for quite a while.
hey guise im using winap nao,but i want to switch to foobar or music bee, wich is better? also, can i import the music i already have? like i dont want to put album one by one again fuck that shit
I haven't used MusicBee but with Foobar you just point to your music folder and all your albums will automatically be loaded. It'll probably take a while when you first start doing it depending on how much music you have but when I add new stuff to my library it typically shows up in the program within a few seconds. Don't even need to restart the program.
>using the same player since 2003
get on my level scrubs
I never liked the concept of in player libraries. I´m just really orderly, when it comes to my music folders.
is this cool? any tips or tricks yall can give me
I change the colors every month to the color I think represents each month. Going by that, January and february are my favorite months to listen to music.
