OTHER BANDCAMP THREAD IS KILL; TIME FOR A NEW ONE
Just to make sure things are fair and not one sided, be sure to listen and rate and comment on the posts of others, as a general rule, if you post, try and comment/rate at least two other tracks, that way everyone can get some good criticism and suggestions! I'll start off
>shitty bedroom folk-punk, recorded in an hour whilst on acid
I actually enjoy that ruff recording style.
Funny arse style...
HERES MY SHIT!
damn dude, your sample game is strong af. Loving this. Definitely some trippy shit. I'm not generally a huge fan of broken beat stuff, btu this was really really well done. A+ job, man
"The[Composite-Superman]Experiment" is a fucking awesome track.
With <3 from chile.
There's really nothing funner than screaming "I hope that we get good reviews on pitchfork because it determines the size of my PENIS!" Something hilariously immature about it
This shit is actually really really good. Working through YAOILIFE right now and loving it Your sample game is strooong Do you use any specific filters in your DAW??. Heres my vaporwave shit;
plz forgive me for posting a soundcloud link in a bandcamp thread :^(
>Sunn O))), Soundtracks For the blind
Love your label dude, I've heard your stuff around bandcamp before
Very chill and vibey <3
Reminds me a bit of a Ramshackle Glory, just more goofy.
Nermal.Tales is fucking awesome, I want to hear someone drop rhymes on that track.
My stuff here
> Noisy ambient, noise, IDMish stuff influenced by BoC and Aphex Twin
Overall design is high as fuck for "Start / Finish!", loved the intro, the constant switch ups are good with this genre, keeps things interesting.
>garage punk, touches of noise rock and shoegaze
>ffo: the misfits, queens of the stone age, smashing pumpkins
fucking with my head a fair bit but i'm pretty damn high so it's all good man. real interesting shit going on. intense
just fun as fuck, hearing the sound of people having a good time to a jangly tune is and forever will be a++
We had to cut off the featured track because the audience (there were like, 4 people with us in my buddies garage) started laughing too loud at the backing vocalists rambling. I shouldn't have cut it out, he went on a rant about bolsheviks and the proletariat or some shit. Drunk music for drunk people.
>loud garage rock and noise rock with heavy editing
Nah bruh, I'm actually on another computer, so i can't remember the name of the filters, but yeah, thanks. c:
In that EP i tried to not keep things constant, kek.
> whatever I do
> I don't know what I do
> I am not a professional
Album coming out tomorrow at midnight
your page fucking burns my eyes, and i always hate it when i can't see track lengths on shit
curbstomp is a cool song though, and if my eyes can survive me re-openning that window I may listen to more
I really like this. It reminds me of some of the stuff im working on
Thanks man. It's part of the experience
Yeah i forgot to post my comment
a new record today
>experimental hip hop
influences include: Baths, Flying Lotus, Shlohmo, Gold Panda, Balmy, XXYYXX, Astroshaman, Aphex Twin, BoC, the list goes on.
>MIDI, video game music
I've told you how much i like your stuff. It's some of my favorite music here.I love the Flylo vibe it has to it. I'm trying my hand electronic music and i was just wondering what program you use?
>dont really know what to call it
>kinda footworky with heavy synth work
>recorded directly to tape, live, in one sitting
>atmospheric/minimalist folk, psych folk
Thanks for the listens and downloads guys. Also, I've remixed some of the material from this album into a dark ambient album which I'm going to release very soon.
This sounds really nice, sampling is excellent
Dude I love the concept of this. Nice label you have there. I'm actually looking into a tape release for my album. Shoot me an email if we could work something out.
I dig this man, just a wee bit chaotic for my taste
Classic awesome fun folk punk
"I'm somniferous, but alive" nice. Solid garage punk
Cool folky sound, pretty dark
>emo, alternapunk, poop core, basement recording, it's a song about pooping
if you dig that check out my friends mumblecore project
Feedback would be cool
ADVICE TIME GUYS
1. Jack your drums, make sure they're either dry or have some kind of standout noise like a good reverb.
2. Sub bass.
3. Use stereo - mini-glitches and hats panned far left and right, fleshes out the sound.
4. Work on bass mastering. That's a big part of bass music in general, obviously.
It's not unlistenable like some of the shit I've heard, but it needs some work.
>diy folky sadpop
I only have one track up right now, but I'm working on an EP. Had an album up before but removed it because it's bad
Really diggin on this
>ends with a nine minute post-rock track
>lofi, saturated, compressed, hip hop futurebeats about pinball and sentai flicks
each track had me googling flight numbers, tallying up death tolls, and investigating causes of each incident. the music worked well to place myself in what i was reading about. it was an involving experience.
>bump, looking forward to hearing whatcha got, /mu
friend's band there. the whole album is fucking awesome, but that track is one of the more straightforward.
>psych pop, indie pop, folk
this is really cool.
>You're a completely untalented idiot
on one hand, kind of aggressively insulting...
on the other hand, totally true, and warranted because we have unrestrained ironic hipster hacks roaming rampant through our world creating "art" because mommy and daddy told them they were special and unique snowflakes despite the fact they lack both talent and the dedication/perseverance to cultivate said nonexistent talent.
>electronic, ambient, experimental, droney soundscapes, noisy
Alternating long and short songs. Emphasis on texture and immersion.
7/10 bretty good, if a little repetitive. Reminds me of when I used to just walk through the woods all day with my dog
I like the ominous, schizoid vibe that "Out in the Mold" is shooting at me, 8/10
more recent stuff here:
fairly interesting, though it is all over the place. i'm sure this was the idea, but development of some of the better ideas would have been nice. kinda reminds me of lumpy gravy. also, though perhaps an aesthetic-type thing as well, the composition software (?) synth strings are really bad.
because the stupid bullshit derails a thread meant to help people with their music. that shit music should be called out for what it is. it's not "witty," or "funny" or "clever" commentary. it's just shit.
gonna bump some cool shit
>funk metal, funk rock
>jangle pop, experimental
>carnival music, concept album
nice to see some noisy shit on here. decided to listen to pareidolia because the cover had a dog on it. 1967 was nice and sinister. deluge was very nice, i loved the wavy texture. listening to apophenia now.
>Noise Pop, Shoegaze, Dream Pop, Twee(gaze?)
>thrashy guitar pop demo
This is just a bedroom demo ^^; we're working on a full studio album with a pro engineer!!
Super spooky. Like the spookiest shit ever. Not bad tho.
>shoegaze, noise rock, math rock
>glitch hop, electronic
