9/10 Dogs had no right to be on that album. OK song by itself, but I skip over it every time.
reasons he sucks
>the last 3 albums he put out he never produced
>all he talks about is his egoism
>copied underground industrial artists on yeezus
>he is really nothing special
>if you do think he is special ur probably 15
I've listened to this so many times. Shame everything things else she's made has been meh
Name five- ok, even one other artist that does what he does. All aspects: the production, the rapping, the boundary-pushing, the mainstream appeal, the high-profile connections, the work ethic, the social relevance, the anger, the perfect blend of high- and low-brow.
come back when ur balls have dropped anon
No one gives a shit lad. You'll look back on this once you've grown up and be embarrassed for yourself. Personally I feel sorry for you. At least you've made this mistake anonymously online so it won't have any consequences for you. I just hope realise how dumb this is some day and take it back.
That's the way to attack it for sure. I bought it on vinyl without being really into in hopes that would help. Now whenever I listen to it on mp3 I can listen to at most 6 songs continuously.
i think its just an unnecessarily vulgar and awkward song. but losing your virginity in high school shouldnt be viewed as something to be proud of. teens are awkward and horny and do shit because they feel pressure to do so, not because it really means anything. i would want it to mean something. these are just my moral beliefs though
It certainly is for me. The only one that may have contended for most anticipated was This Is All Yours, and that's only because I get to see Alt-J live in a month.
I don't really think I can counter that, since it is your opinion.
Idgaf about sex or the fact that i'm a virgin anymore. I have my dick, i can jack off, i can cum. I'm okay with that. If i have sex someday, cool. I can't be expected to actually think about something like that though.
>because they feel pressure to do so, not because it really means anything
>i would want it to mean something.
lol just because you didnt have a qt gf in high school where sparks FUCKIN FLEW doesnt make you morally superior
means a whole lot to me, man...
I'm starting to think the album is, like, 10/10 for OP and, like, 7/10 for you, but how could it be BOTH? I'm new to this whole "different people saying different things" thing so I haven't worked it out yet, pls help.
Jesus christ you are losers
>tfw you share a board with people who actually nonironically enjoyed that pile of shit and bread benji
Volume 2 is my 10/10. Thought Volume 3 was about an 8/10
I completely disagree with you, The Future's Void is better than Past Life Martyred Saints
really though what the fuck
maybe there's something wrong with my rating mechanism but if you mention panera bread multiple times in different contexts you can't be 10/10
I remember when it leaked. Since this if 4chan there's no way of really knowing if you're the first person to post it but I guarantee that many people thought of it independently. In the first thread there were a lot of giggle gators
it's not just because of the panera bread joke. i love making fun of this album, but it's so quotable even if i think it's terrible, due to the weak instrumentation, overly descriptive lyrics that take all meaning away from them, and the nonstop rambling.
i might not have been the person to come up with panera bread but when it leaked and everyone was spamming it, everytime i would post panera bread
Mark is also fucking autistic
This is pretty merited but still:
my best friend saw him in Paris and he asked a girl what song she wanted to hear and she didn't know any so he raged and left
not every action needs to be brought out in full detail. i already explained why benji is not a good album, you won't do anything but explain why you like it? no one ever does
>Youre talking a lot, but you're not saying anything
not a teenager, i love rhp and gotgh, but mark has lost it
>s-someone is p-posting an opinion i d-d-disagree with t-they must be q-q-quoting m-m-memes
>i might not have been the person to come up with panera bread but when it leaked and everyone was spamming it, everytime i would post panera bread
nice try, fuccboi, go spam memes somewhere else
I love depressing self absorbed bedroom type shit, and this album is one of the few albums to come out recently that's hit that low note so hard.
This is a pretty hilarious post, considering Benji's popularity hinges on some shithead on the internet saying it's amazing.
I say again, any dumb idiot on Bandcamp making this album would be laughed out of the website. This album is given more time than it's worth because of Koz's previous work.
>oh, but I meant for all the songs to sound like lazy bullshit
genius, dude. pure genius.
>troll people about benji all year because it's easy
>put the album on because why not one day
>WAIT A MINUTE
>YOUR PUSSY AIN'T SHIT 'TIL YOU HAVE SOME DANNY IN IT
Let the hate roll, but this is a perfect album to me
If i heard someone make this album on bandcamp i'd likely spam it everywhere because it's amazing. It's not often you hear an album as cohesive and emotionally charged as Benji anymore
A Winged Victory For the Sullen - s/t
Oneohtrix Point Never - Replica
Mount Eerie - Clear Moon
KEN Mode - Entrench
oh I almost forgot:
Recycle Culture - In Transit
absolutely fucking incredible ambient music.
so great we've got 2 albums in the last 5 years that are good. well done /mu/
Wow, /mu/ really is full of plebs now
"All I Want" is also the best track from the last 5 years
This was my AOTY 2013 aswell.
>inb4 fathony fattano
This album is perfect.
Agreed. It's noisy and experimental but still catchy, it's dark as hell but never comes off as trite or overreacted. It's diverse from song to song, but still thematic. The lyrics are amazing. Probably my favorite album of the 2010's
came to post this
these Anons know what's up
I agree with these:
And I'd like to nominate pic related.
Doesn't 'pleb' basically just mean 'accessible'? Because, as great as it is, I Vigilante is probably the most accessible album anyone's posted in this thread.
spotty, to say the least
Backseat Freestyle shoulda been cut
this was fun
reminds me to give this another spin sometime
good album as far as i remember, but quite unremarkable
yeah I knew who Mark Kozelek was because I listened to red house painters and ghosts of the great highway. Why did I listen to that? Because I heard a Kozelek track on the GoW 2/3 or something trailer when I was a 13 year old (Heron Blue), lol.
Then I listened to Benji and thought wow of course I liked this guy when I was a pubescent, so there, Sun Kil Moon is on my 'that was a phase' list of artists, along with Linkin Park and Atmosphere.
>file name isnt album name
>doesnt say what album it is in post
>google image search turns up nothing
What's that one song that isn't SKM but is called dogs I think? It's like this uppity indie song where they shout "We like dogs, ____ ____ ____" and then this fast arpeggios kicks in.
This should've been posted. I can understand why some sites gave it a weak score but it's a serious grower.
i like it but nowhere near
kind of close (exm is better sry)
I don't think there has been, but then again I don't listen to new music all that much so I wouldn't know
I'm not sure if I'd really call this 10/10, but I don't really score albums anyway. So this is the closest I think
How about within the last month?
Honestly this. I'm a huge fan of The Hidden Cameras and I thought they were finished with the way things played out after Origin:Orphan. They just fell off the face of the earth for a few years.
Then they had this roaring comeback, holy hell. Carpe Jugular, Skin & Leather, Gay Goth Scene, Year of the Spawn... this is their best album yet.
>tfw they played a show in Toronto the day after I left
I know I'm going to get hate for this but this is my all time favourite album.
It has indeed been a great decade for electronica
Kind of hated this at first, but wow is this a really good album. Maybe not 10/10 but it's the first that comes to mind
no way dude its dece maybe 7-8 but not 10 man
anyway for the thread
car seat headrest - twin fantasy is the only one this decade
its hard to give an album so a high score without being totally blown away
>all these albums
>born in the wrong generation
I agree with these.
Also, meme related.
Fuck you I still love this band.
