>The list could go on...
>implying gay nightclubs have bad music
its ok you dont have to feel insecure about your masculinity when you are on a image board for social rejects discussing internet meme genres
lel of course you are. The only genres that get popularly made on /mu/ just happen to be the ones that take absolutely no talent. Hold down middle C on a VST pad for 10 minutes and call it drone
Slow down Diana Ross and call it vaporwave
Literally click a single button to generate a sine and call it tonefield
Actually put effort and creativity into making music? Fuck that
I actually enjoyed Neo Cali, stop trying to drag it to the level of meme genres like pc music and oceangrunge.
Found this in a bandcamp thread, I like it, I think it's mallsoft.
guess what nobody gives a fuck how hard it was to make
do you think captain beefheart and his magic band were talented?
they were just a bunch of borderline schizophrenics playing random garbage but it sounds great
>Literally click a single button to generate a sine and call it tonefield
Actually a tone field song with just a single sine would be boring, some of the songs from Golden aura artist abum are like this and they suck.
Also colorfield painting (tonefield is music version of colorfield) is sort of easy to make and really cool.
I can smell the shitposting from miles away. Nobody is asking any of you faggots to post in here, go back to listening to Death Grips and Swans like the idiots you are.
>what is tonefield?
some anons Always posted ideas about converting other media genres to music (listing down the characteristics from other medie genre like literature or painting, and then using logic, music skill or other media skill to convert those characteristics) on dream genre threads, this happened also when someone asked how cyberpunk music would be.
Some idea usually posted was a colorfield painting convertion to music genre. It basically became this.
1-Song start with a silent part with at least one second or a tone with at least one second (tone must have same volume, frequency and waveform on its entire duration).
2-Song ends or continue with a silent part with at least one second or a new tone with at least one second (tone must have same volume, frequency and waveform on its entire duration). This happen without fade out or fade it.
3-go back to 2 or end the song.
This idea was posted since at least 2 years ago, and months ago people decided to try to make it.
Just few made it (maybe because its too deep4u to many) and the idea was quicly forgotten.
some example of albums are here
>listing down the characteristics from other medie genre like literature or painting, and then using logic, music skill or other media skill to convert those characteristics
change this to this below
listing down the characteristics from other medie genre like literature or painting, and then using logic, music skill or other media skill to convert those characteristics to music one
stop simplifying everything. all the things you listed are actually wrong and you're wrong. don't be so ignorant.
and pc music is not a genre, it's a label. it was fine until /mu/ picked it up.
Hey /vapor/ bros.
Anyone want to hit me up with some good 2014 releases?
I checked this out and I really enjoy it, reminds me alot of hologram plaza and that's a good thing.
no, it's not. it's a joke abt the mac plus song which is not even accurate (doesnt really matter i guess) but it causes misconceptions and isn't actually funny anyway also because of the fact it's been said thousands of times and got old in 2012.
>50+ vaporwave projects that literally just slow down Diana Ross songs
>slow down diana ross songs
can you link me 50 plus albums that LITERALLY slow down diana ross songs? thx
I dunno but I liked this one
>implying I'm going to waste time doing that
Go to the new page of the vaporwave tag on bandcamp and go to any album. There's at least a 50% chance of there being at least 1 track that's just slowed down Diana Ross or Sade. If you don't believe me, go listen to Infinity Frequencies and Luxury Elite. They've both done nothing more than slow down Diana Ross multiple times
Christ, you're dense. I'm not going to hold your hand the whole way. On III, TV Party, and 101.7 Wave II there's actual identifiable Diana Ross tracks slowed down. I don't know why that's such a hard concept for you to comprehend.
plexure plunderphonics, I liked it but I felt like he wasn't as good at making his samples complement each other as people like DJ Shadow, although im guessing that wasnt really the point
Links to 2014 best vaporwave:
who's listened to this yet, I'm digging it.
I posted a little mixtape showing off some of my favorite bandcamp artists.
My roommate and I made a vaporwave split to see how easy it would be, it turned out alright.
I'm really glad my album is getting around the vaporwave community. Glad yall like it. :)
I'm new to these genres. I really liked A Heart Full Of Love by Darkpyramid.
The rest of the albums you guys links just sound like old 80s tracks drowned in reverb, though.
Anything else like Darkpyramid?
listen to hell city on there.
These are some of the better tunes I've found within the genre recently. I know they've already been posted but so far this is what I found that isn't completely boring.
I spit that
Get it while it's still free: https://urotsukidji.bandcamp.com/releases
Don't you ever fucking say I'm viraling, kid. I am the next person to make it big. You all raged at me when I made fun of your precious shemale in my floral shoppe 2 and now I'm drowning in vaporpussy. don't be jealous because i drink all the saint pepsi I want faggot. You'll never be on dreamcatalog you broporwave making twat.
