>tfw every artist and their brother is putting new stuff out
>tfw haven't even released an ep yet
>tfw probably will be a year before I even have the right things together to do so
Can we get some music making feels going? Let's talk /mu/
Yeah, but a lot of my equipment is busted. I just need a few more things and a new guitar, and maybe a keyboard. Eventually a new computer too,
I don't want to really work on a project if I can't get it to sound right.
No mental hospitals?
i feel you there bro
>tfw you will never even see the heights that talented people are at
>tfw you will always be shit because you're just a normal person and not an alien from outer space
>no matter how hard you work you will never be great if you don't have talent
Fuck gifted people, fuck them all
>tfw every musician in the area either ants to play AC/DC covers or picked up the guitar 2 monthes ago
>tfw too poor to get hardware for electronic music
>tfw been trying to get into softwares but cannot even manage to get anything decent after a year of practice
I'm starting to consider embracing my statut of talentless hack and make noise. Just noise. Hijack shows with a singing saw or get booked via some fake songs I didn't mae myself.
Fuck it, i don't even want to make good music.
I just want people to hear my shit.
I want to say that I exist, goddamnit.
>tfw you'll never finish the 30 minute song/album you've been sitting on for 2 years
>tfw you realise you will never make something as sincere as Communist Daughter
>me and my best friend make electronic music together
>i begin to get back into acoustic stuff
>gain intense desire to form a punk band
>best friend can't play any real instruments and is basically solely into electronic stuff
>really wanna get a group of guys together and bang some shit out but can't
>start writing songs on my guitar more and less in ableton
>so creatively confused
>tfw just released my new album on bandcamp
>only couple people checked it out
>i dont want to viral my shit so now my music will never be heard
i cant take it
You guys will probably think it sucks but whatever I'm proud of it.
Making music is a long process. Getting the right equipment, finding the right recording processes, the right way of working without taking a toll on your creativity, eventually mixing and all that kinda stuff if you wanna do that by yourself takes some time to learn too.
It all takes time, cause even if you have the talent you need knowledge and experience, and it's gonna be very hard to make a song that sounds exactly the way you imagined it in your head.
Being an artist is psychologically demanding and it takes time, you might end up never being truly happy with anything you make. You just gotta do your best and find what works for you.
>tfw released an album on bandcamp
>one year ago
>tried to communicate about it
>put it online with some collective that promote their stuff
>one year later
>it's the most downloaded album of the whole collective
>with 18 downloads
And this is why labels, even small indie labels, still matter for artists.
