Is this a real record store?
Dunno, wikipedia doesn't mention it
>Much of the film was shot in Cardiff, where the film also takes place. Nina's workplace, a fictionalised McDonalds, was filmed at UCI 12 Cinemas, Atlantic Wharf Leisure Village, Hemingway Road. The public house during the Friday night scene was shot at Gassy Jacks, Salisbury Road, Cathays, Cardiff. The Emporium nightclub on Cardiff High Street was used as the exterior of the fictional "Asylum" club, and Club X on Charles Street stood in as the interior. The Philharmonic public house on St Mary's Street is where the Sunday pub scene was filmed, and Jip and Lulu's Sunday night walk home was also filmed in St Mary's Street.
See? They're applauding the DJ. Not the music, not the musician, not the creator, but the medium. This is it. The birth of rave culture. The beatification of the beat. The dance age. This is the moment when even the white man starts dancing. Welcome to Manchester.
Trainspotting. The actual /bleep/ element is not the focus, but it's worth watching to see how the drugs of the day affected people & why someone might want to drop everything and gurn away.
>Karenn - Summer
If i love dance music, but can not dance, is there a point in even keeping an interest towards it?
if you love it then yes, obviously. this is the most retarded thing i've ever read.
if i love classical music, but can not play the violin, is there a point in even keeping an interest towards it?
>i'm a bit paranoid of cameras and shit, even when being in another country.
stop being so narcissistic. no one cares about you when they're at the club. sorry man
either get over yourself, take some MD, or go to a dark room gig... which means 99% of clubs. don't go to gigs out in a field or something at a festival during the day man, common sense if you don't want to be seen lol
no one cares if you go crazy at the club or if you just nod your head a bit. both are fine and acceptable. no one is watching your every move - the world doesn't revolve around you. just go to a club and stop being a faggot
This is way better than I expected from the gay-ass neofolky cover.
you get plenty of girls at these kind of things usually tho. not tuned into BR but even if it's 90% fuccbois that's not representative of the general audience. i've literally been outnumbered by qts seeing shit like donato dozzy
have you tried google?
have you tried funkysouls?
have you tried nodata?
the list goes on...
what is it with people here recently wanting others to do shit for them all time?
>how do i get into grime
>how do i decide what music i should be listening to
>how do i download music
m8 if you can't fucking find karenn mp3s how do you manage to do other basic shit like catch a bus or boil the kettle. seriously man just work it out
anyone else feel we are sort of at the limit of the diesel sound
i mean i even feel perc is taking the piss a bit, when does this shit just become over the top edgy/abrasiveness while losing all creative respect?
it's like what happened with dubstep, it's just becoming a loudness war
yeah man, i agree. annoyed some people the other week saying that kind of shit on here. someone posted a truss track i think and i said it was tacky like skrillex and that caused a lot of offense
watch your step bro
yeah I used to think otherwise, but now I sort of agree, Happa I definitely think is guilty of just trying to make for as uncomfortable listening as he can
saw he dropped a wolf eyes track in one of his sets though, if he goes down that way he might get a little bit of respect back
>"who can make a more disgusting sound than me lololol"
thats exactly it man
it appeals to 18 year olds who are angry at not having sex and people who are retards with bad taste
people like s/t basically
it's male rage music for frustrated kids. once they chill out and listen to something more grown up they will also find that girls go to clubs for this kind of thing. they might even get to touch a girl's bum
Yeah you got a point, but i still feel like those things can be done in creative ways as well, and most of it is just too oversaturated with mediocrity.
This Mark Pritchard tune someone's been spamming lately is just awful, for example. From the name to the unbearable bass stabs(probably the wrong term here) for the sake of MUH DEEP ELEPHANT DUB.
It's pretensious as fuck and as mediocre as any other brostep artist.
yeah you are both right, I used to like the british sound and I must admit it was probably the anger thing
while I've always enjoyed and bought euro techno I might phase out the british more aggressive stuff cause I think it's just gonna get a bit cringey
cheers lad, enjoying this so far
ye i reckon they probably are, gonna go digging
steve reich made drumming after going to africa and listening to the music there, think drums are done much better than euros tbh
I've been getting into Dub Techno lately, but it feels like it's so much of the same stuff. Basic Channel, Deepchord, Deadbeat, Quantec and Intrusion, is there anything else that is a bit intresting?
>2010 was 20 years ago
I JUST finished this remix. It's EDM.
[Original Song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6z9A9nyDpg]
And I did this chillstep remix too.
All I was given was the vocals, everything else was me.

this rough and raw style of 'jackin' is killing it at the moment in clubs
Just got a pair of these, a mixer and speakers for £50, one needle needs replacing though
What's your budget? For around or under 100 you can get a near full beginner set up; basic direct-drive turntables and a simple 2 channel mixer. Mine, the one you replied to, is Citronic PD-1s and a Numark DM1002 EX, My research told me there's no "best" beginner decks, just see what you can get for a bargain then look at reviews.
If you're budget approaches £200 you may as well save up some more and get 1210s, because if you like DJing you're inevitably going to upgrade to them sooner or later.
better than I anticipated
not a shred on Swim though
>keep it futile
midtown 120 is idm leftovers now?
>>>/bloop/ containment general
also kiz has been a meme since day fam
you clearly weren't around for last years 'rise and shine lad' threads that some brer posted every fucking morning at like 6am
Lee looks like Lone from the future, come back to warn him not to make Reality Testing, but it was too late.
If you are at all serious at it, just get technics. They have a high resell value if you don't like it, but it is damn near impossible to beatmatch on belt driven, cheap turntables. The mixer is not that big of a concern in the beginning. Spend more on the decks then the mixer, and upgrade that later. And buy used
My favorite tune at the moment. Love this release.
underrated track imo
don't rate jabu, but them(?) and kahn belong together
fuck, young echo was/is such a great team
feel like vessel needs more influence on the next album tho
that opening London Calling electro mix is 2cool
why does prurient refuse to explain the politics of his music (as vatican shadow when asked? if he insists on shoving it in our faces via the album art art and track titles, shouldn't he also provide an explanation for it?
muslimgauze had the courage to stand by his convictions, prurient just comes across as some edgy art kid baiting with shock value.
>Interviewer: Do you believe it is absolutely necessary, to take these political aspects into account? Or can one also uncouple the politics and music from each other?
>Jones: Yes, one can do that. It is music. Music with serious political facts behind it. There are no lyrics, because that would be preaching. It is music. It is up to you, to find out more. If you don't want that, it is up to you. You can listen to only the music or you can preoccupy yourself more with it.
I need to listen to more Muslimgauze, that's exactly how I feel
definitely this but that was already the case for a couple of years, the lo-fi grittyness works well in house but gets too messy in techno imo, am curious to see if there will be a new sort of minimal coming up as countermovement to thi
i just downloaded ableton after a long time of not making music, and what to try my hand at some basic techno, like underground resistance
i have no idea what i'm doing, any tips re:synths and stuff would be greatly appreciate, for drums just a 909 should be fine no?
Why the fuck do you want to make music like UR in 2014? I bet you're some rich kid hipster too.
If you have no idea what you're doing with synth then why decide to jump in the deep end making making music with dexterous synths?
>just a 909 should be fine
Kill yourself. If you've just got ableton and don't know the basics of synths then read up on that shit you idiot. There's no shortcuts if you want to be good at something. Put the work in like decry everyone else.
Also get some analog synths. UR in ableton will sound like n64 music. Seriously the more I think about your idiot retard post the more you should just continue to give up on music. You sound like a total faggot if I'm honest mate. Go learn your shit first before asking such retarded questions
Don't viral market here you total prick
Damn that UR moron has got me wound up. Literally the angriest person on this bus now lol
Still you gotta explain yourself UR moron you sound like you don't know the first thing about music and that you've heard like 5 UR tracks and you thought you could be cool by writing stuff like it
What music were u making before that you don't know anything about synths now ??
Do I have to play shows to release some shit on a 12"? Can't I just sit at home and produce in peace?
chill the fuck out dude, he obviously has no idea what he's doing and thought it'd be easy, might be a stupid question but asking him to invest a couple hundred, at least, in hardware, when he has no fucking clue, is equally stupid
Samefag. Sorry I upset your little London hipster cred by questioning why you would make UR rip offs in ableton in 2014 lol
If you're too stupid to see why that's a bad idea then you're beyond hope mate
